Chapter 91 Jiang Jinhua the Beggar

“Sister-in-law, I found someone on the road when I came back from running errands in the city late last night. He’s resting in my office now. I don’t know if he’s the person you’re looking for.”

He took Jiang Jinxiu to his office.

As soon as the office door opened, Jiang Jinxiu rushed inside impatiently.

A ragged boy was sleeping soundly on the table, covered in dust and dirt.

It was so dirty that someone who didn't know better might mistake it for a beggar.

The sound of the door opening woke the boy up. He slowly looked up, rubbing his eyes with one hand.

Jiang Jinxiu recognized him as her younger brother, Jiang Jinhua, as soon as she saw his profile, without even getting a full look at him.

She ran over and hugged him: "You little rascal, you scared me to death!"

As she spoke, tears streamed down her face.

Seeing this, Huang Tao silently closed the office door.

As soon as Jiang Jinhua was hugged, her first instinct was to shake the person off.

But upon hearing that familiar voice, her older sister's voice, she instantly broke down.

He hugged her tightly: "Sister, I've finally seen you. Waaah..."

You almost didn't see me again, do you know that? Waaaaah...

Why did you suddenly get married? Were you bullied in the countryside? Waaah...

Did your parents send you so much stuff, or was it not enough for you? Did you share it with those other people again? Waaah...

Sister, how could you be so stupid? Waaaaah…

Jiang Jinhua cried as she questioned Jiang Jinxiu, and then hiccuped.

They looked as pitiful as could be.

Jiang Jinxiu's initial sadness vanished instantly. Looking at her lively younger brother, she was genuinely both amused and exasperated: "You brat, you're always causing trouble. Your sister is perfectly fine now, and no one can bully me. But you, how did you get yourself into this state?"

"Waaaaah... Sister, you almost didn't get to see me again, those people..."

Jiang Jinhua rattled off a long story, recounting to Jiang Jinxiu how he got off at the wrong stop and was almost forced to become a live-in son-in-law.

Jiang Jinxiu was terrified. He was told he was going to be a live-in son-in-law, but who knew if he would be tricked into having his kidney cut off?

It's not that she thinks too badly of people, but rather that this era is indeed too chaotic.

Anything can happen, and there are all kinds of people.

Fortunately, her brother ran fast, otherwise she really wouldn't know where to look for him.

Even if we find it, it might be too late...

As she thought about it, tears silently streamed down her face. She slapped Jiang Jinhua on the back: "You brat, you still say I'm stupid? I think you're the stupidest one. You even got off at the wrong stop on the bus, I can't believe it. If you hadn't escaped, what would I have done? What would my parents have done?"

Jiang Jinhua involuntarily shrank back and struggled to get out of Jiang Jinxiu's arms.

"Sis, why are you so strong now? It hurts so much!"

Jiang Jinhua hissed, looking at Jiang Jinxiu with a resentful expression, muttering under her breath: You were always stupid, and you wouldn't let me say it.

Jiang Jinxiu was a little guilty at first. She forgot that her grip had become stronger and that she had forgotten to control the force in her hands.

However, her sharp ears caught Jiang Jinhua's last words, and she immediately felt an urge to grab his ear.

She thought it and she did it.

"Ouch, sis, sis, it hurts! Let go! I'll never say that again..."

Jiang Jinhua shouted with a distorted face, her expression, voice, and movements all extremely exaggerated.

Jiang Jinxiu controlled her strength this time, and after holding on for a while, she let go.

As soon as he was released, Jiang Jinhua jumped three feet away, as if afraid that Jiang Jinxiu would hit him again.

Actually, he did it on purpose because he saw his sister's tears. Only by diverting his sister's attention would she forget to cry.

He understands his sister so well.

Sure enough, Jiang Jinxiu stopped crying.

Jiang Jinxiu looked at Jiang Jinhua, who was practically glued to the wall, and couldn't help but laugh.

Seeing her younger brother still alive and kicking in front of her, she was truly grateful to God for giving her another chance.

This time, she will not let the same mistakes of her previous life repeat themselves.

However, what's with the red spots on his face, hands, and even his ears?

It was only then that Jiang Jinxiu noticed Jiang Jinhua's appearance.

Not only was his face covered in dust, but his face and hands were also covered in red bumps.

She grabbed his hand and held it up to examine it closely: "What's going on with all this?"

Seeing this, her heart involuntarily jumped again.

It's probably not some kind of illness.

"Um, sis, it's from mosquito bites. I was so tired last night that I just fell asleep by the roadside, and this is how I woke up. Oh, and I have to thank Brother Huang; he's the one who brought me back."

Jiang Jinhua said somewhat embarrassedly.

Jiang Jinxiu was somewhat skeptical: "Let's go to the hospital and have a look."

She grabbed Jiang Jinhua and tried to leave.

I ran into Huang Tao as soon as I stepped out.

"Sister-in-law, are you leaving already?"

"Thank you, Brother Huang. If it weren't for you, I don't know when I would have seen my brother again. I'll treat you to a meal next time."

“Sister-in-law, you’re too kind. Would you like him to wash up before he leaves? There’s a well in the backyard, and I have a spare set of clothes in my office; he can wear those first…”

Huang Tao only said half of what he meant, but he didn't finish his sentence. Jiang Jinxiu understood what he meant at this moment.

She was too busy being anxious.

Her brother now has red spots all over his face and hands, and even his clothes are tattered.

This outfit makes him look no different from a beggar.

But then she thought of his red spots and bumps, and decided it was better not to do it yet, as it might infect others: "Thank you, Brother Huang, but he has quite a few red spots and bumps on his body, and I'm afraid it might be contagious. Let him bear with it for now and clean himself up when he gets back."

"Hey, I thought it was something serious. There are so many mosquitoes in the middle of summer. If you don't take care to keep them away, this is what happens, especially since some people are more prone to mosquito bites. Your brother slept in the haystack for most of the night last night, and that's nothing. You can get some medicine for him to apply later."

Huang Tao said nonchalantly.

"Sister, I want to take a shower first. I haven't had a proper bath in so many days. Look at me, I'm covered in dirt and grime, it's so uncomfortable. Please let me shower before you go. Okay? My dear sister, I love you the most."

Jiang Jinhua said in a coquettish tone.

Jiang Jinxiu felt goosebumps all over her body and pushed him away in disgust: "What nonsense are you talking about outside? Go away."

She then looked at Huang Tao and said, "Brother Huang, thank you for your help."

An hour later, Jiang Jinhua finally finished getting herself ready.

"Sister, Brother Huang's clothes are really tailor-made for me."

"Come on, you mean tailor-made? Look, there's an extra section already." Jiang Jinxiu said, tugging at his sleeve, showing him no mercy whatsoever.
