Chapter 13 Confirming the Marriage

"Insomnia?"

Looking at her depressed little expression, Huo Si recalled the scene of her rolling on the bed last night.

"Maybe my sleepiness has left me. It's not easy to get it back. I'm a light sleeper myself."

Si Muyan couldn't admit that the scene in the study also made her heart waver.

Hearing this, Huo Si felt a little distressed and guilty.

After all, if she hadn't been waiting for him, she wouldn't have fallen, and she wouldn't have felt less sleepy.

"Is Big Bear still here?"

Si Muyan shook her head, her beautiful eyes dimming instantly: "My brother lost me."

That was originally a birthday gift given to her younger brother by her adoptive parents, but her younger brother disliked the doll because it was ugly and didn't want to give it to her.

Unfortunately, in the end, when she was very dependent on the big bear, her brother threw it into the river to tease her.

Seeing the melancholy in her eyes, Huo Si's heart clenched. For some reason, he didn't want such an expression to appear on her face.

"I'm curious about what the big bear that you like so much looks like." Huo Si said suddenly.

"I have photos here." Si Muyan said, picked up her phone and opened the photo album.

Then, a slightly old but clean doll appeared in sight.

"My parents said that the big bear is very expensive, but it is the genuine product." Si Muyan said proudly.

Huo Si did not respond and looked at the photo deeply.

"Want to listen to Buddhist scriptures?"

"Buddhist scriptures?"

"Buddhist scriptures can calm the mind and help with sleep." Huo Si answered concisely.

After hearing this explanation, Si Muyan nodded.

Huo Si said nothing and turned to walk towards the bedroom. When he reappeared, he was holding an exquisite incense burner in his hand.

Then, long legs walked into the bedroom.

"Lie down." Huo Si asked, speaking sparingly.

"Oh." Si Muyan responded obediently, lying down obediently, holding the quilt with both hands.

Seeing this, Huo Si raised his eyebrows frivolously: "You are so obedient, aren't you afraid that I will do something bad to you?"

Si Muyan smiled sweetly and said, "Sir, you are a good man."

Looking at that sweet little mouth, Huo Si was in high spirits when he was praised.

The incense was lit, and a faint scent of sandalwood filled the room.

Si Muyan took a deep breath, feeling an indescribable sense of peace. Then she closed her eyes and let her heartstrings slowly relax.

At this moment, a mellow and magnetic voice came to my ears: "Talking with the former Brahmin, Subhākara, about the truth of the underworld..."

The sound is nice...

Si Muyan opened her eyes and looked at him in surprise. She hadn't expected Huo Si to recite the sutra for her personally. It had the kind of tragic and majestic feeling of a monk chanting sutras, which was very touching.

With the previous experience as a lesson, Huo Si tapped her forehead lightly and signaled her to close her eyes.

Si Muyan closed her eyes obediently and took a deep breath to calm herself.

Smelling the sandalwood and listening to the Buddhist scriptures, Si Muyan felt completely relaxed. Gradually, the familiar sleepiness came over her, and she slowly fell asleep.

Huo Si recited continuously for a full half hour until she fell into a deep sleep, then he quietly left the bedroom and closed the door.

Back in the bedroom, Huo Si thought of the light and loss in Si Muyan's eyes when she mentioned the big bear doll just now.

Pulling out his phone, Huo Si pressed a shortcut key: "Send a notification, searching the country for a doll."

"Play, dolls?" Xu Jie was astonished. His boss didn't play with Buddhist beads, but modified dolls? "Boss, what kind of dolls?

Huo Si thought of the information Si Muyan had just mentioned and summarized it briefly.

"Boss, it's not easy to find these small items from more than ten years ago." Xu Jie wailed inwardly and wanted to die.

It's like looking for a needle in a haystack. If you really try to find it, you won't be able to sleep tonight.

"First, find photos of dolls that meet the requirements and send them to me, and then I'll find them at all costs."

After finishing the explanation, Huo Si ended the call, leaving Xu Jie on the other end of the phone in tears.

At eight o'clock in the morning, the sunlight slipped into the room and warmed the quilt.

Si Muyan stretched lazily and slowly opened her eyes.

The next second, a doll occupied her sight.

"Big Bear?" Si Muyan was stunned for a moment, then closed her eyes.

The big bear had been lost a long time ago, this must have been a dream.

A minute later, Si Muyan opened her eyes again, only to see that Big Bear was still there.

He sat up suddenly and looked at the oversized doll on the bed in shock.

"Big Bear is back!" Si Muyan hugged Big Bear excitedly and rubbed her face against it happily.

Then he felt it was unreal, poked the bandage on the big bear's nose with his finger, and his eyes became moist.

"It's Big Bear. The bandages are still on. It's my Big Bear."

Si Muyan hugged her beloved friend tightly and rolled around on the bed with joy.

After rubbing against the wall for a while, Si Muyan suddenly thought of something: "Big Bear has been abandoned for so many years, how come he has grown legs and returned?"

Si Muyan muttered in confusion, and then a light bulb went off in her head: It’s Mr. Huo!

Thinking of this, without any time to think about it, Si Muyan didn't bother to put on her shoes and ran out barefoot quickly.

Just as Huo Si was about to go downstairs, a quick figure suddenly appeared and threw himself into his arms without warning.

"Sir, can you help me find Big Bear?" Si Muyan hugged his waist tightly, her raised little face flushed from running.

Not only does it look the same, but even the bandages and the stitches on the head are the same. It's undoubtedly her big bear.

The soft hand on his waist tightly wrapped around his strong waist, and Huo Si's face had a suspicious blush.

"Um."

"It's really you! Thank you, sir, thank you for helping me find my big bear." Si Muyan was sincerely grateful.

Her childhood was gray. Although the big bear was just a doll, it was her only companion.

During those years, every time she was bullied or scolded by her adoptive parents, she would tell it her troubles.

It was also it that accompanied her to sleep, so that she would not be so afraid of the dark.

This was her most important friend in childhood.

Therefore, when she watched the big bear being thrown into the river and was unable to do anything, she felt frustrated, and it became a knot in her heart.

Feeling her joy, Huo Si's eyes softened a bit and he ruffled her hair: "You're welcome."

Si Muyan was very excited. Just as she was about to speak, she had difficulty breathing due to running and the excitement.

Seeing this, Huo Si's hand fell on her back and patted her back to help her calm down.

After taking some deep breaths to adjust herself, Si Muyan finally recovered.

When he looked down, his whole face turned red instantly and he retracted his hand as if he had been electrocuted.

"I'm sorry, sir. I was so happy that I lost my composure." Si Muyan apologized quickly.

He actually felt a little lost when he lost the soft touch on his waist.

Pretending to be calm, with one hand in his trouser pocket, Huo Si said calmly and reservedly, "It's okay."

After saying that, he stretched out his long legs and walked towards the stairs.

"Mr. Huo." Si Muyan called him.

Huo Si turned around and his deep eyes fell on her.

"The best decision I have ever made since I was born is to marry you." Si Muyan smiled sweetly.

Listening to her words, Huo Si suddenly said: "Perhaps, we can make the marriage a reality."
