Chapter 17: When the right fate comes, he will make his own plan

"Jun Yang, old man, it's time to eat!"

Junyang's grandmother was standing by the roadside, shouting. Seeing Chen Man, she continued, "Hey, Chen Man, why did you go downstairs? Come up quickly, it's time for dinner."

"Let's go eat first." Xu Junyang looked at her and said.

Chen Man grinned, her face flushed red, and she looked a little silly. "I don't want to eat. I just ate."

"Go up. We won't need your help here later. Grandpa and I can handle it alone."

Xu Junyang didn't allow her to refuse and looked at her straight. Chen Man saw his sweat running down his hair to his neck and his face flushed.

I finally understood what the word "涩" (se) means on the Internet.

She quickly averted her gaze and said, "Then I'll go upstairs and rest for a while. I'll come back after you finish your meal. I'll help you. Let's finish the work quickly. It's almost dark."

"Chen Man, come up and eat." Jun Yang's grandmother called again.

Chen Man walked out and replied, "Grandma, I just ate. I'm not hungry. You guys go eat by yourselves."

"You can't just work without eating. Hurry up!"

As soon as Chen Man stepped onto the road, she was pulled by Jun Yang's grandmother towards her home.

"Grandma, I'm really not hungry." Chen Man was at a loss whether to laugh or cry.

"Eat some more even if you're not hungry."

Chen Man turned around for help, only to see Xu Junyang walking towards her with his head down, carrying a bag on one shoulder and holding another in the other.

This look was a world away from the first time I saw him, dressed in a suit and looking noble and elegant.

Wearing a suit, he looks like a cool and noble gentleman who is out of touch with the world.

When he works, he looks like a rough man with exploding hormones.

Chen Man was embarrassed and helpless as she was dragged into his house. This was the second time Chen Man had officially stepped into his house.

The inside and outside of the courtyard seem like two different worlds.

Chen Man sat awkwardly at the dining table, digging into the ground with her toes. Although the field was dry, some mud was inevitable, leaving behind her size 37 footprints on the clean ground.

The next moment Xu Junyang came in. Chen Man stared at his feet closely. Seeing that his footprints were bigger and covered in more mud, she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Chen Man, come here and wash your hands." Xu Junyang said to her.

Xu Junyang did not go into the kitchen, but went straight to the balcony.

Chen Man followed him out. There was a faucet in the yard under the balcony, and the water was very strong.

He pulled up his sleeves, rinsed his arms and hands, and then took a handful of water to wash his face. Chen Man's eyes moved around, and for a while they stopped on his arms, feeling something was wrong, then stopped on his face, feeling even more wrong, and then... stopped on his waist.

She really didn't mean to do it, it was just that her eyes accidentally glanced at him.

It's not her fault. She has never been around men before and always feels uncomfortable.

In fact, it is impossible for you to ignore a living person in front of you. A person's field of vision is so small, how can you pick it out?

Chen Man nodded in agreement, understanding her own thoughts and feeling that this was human nature.

However, she did not understand clearly.

If the man in front of her was 1.6 meters tall and weighed 180 grams.

She wouldn't feel so uncomfortable.

When you notice something, even if you force your eyes to look away, all you can see in your peripheral vision is... his waist.

"Chen Man, Chen Man?" Xu Junyang called out twice and saw her staring blankly at the ground.

"Ah?" Chen Man responded in confusion.

"Wash your hands, what are you daydreaming about?"

"oh."

On the table, there were spare ribs, pig's trotters stewed with soybeans, chicken stewed with mushrooms, tomatoes with sugar, stir-fried cucumber shreds, and potato chips.

There are soda, watermelon and lychees next to it.

Grandma Junyang also took the grapes to wash.

The air conditioner was on in the room, so I didn't feel hot. Therefore, I didn't lose my appetite. On the contrary, after dinner, I wanted to try it again.

Chen Man sat on the stool stiffly, waiting for Xu Junyang to serve her food.

Her whole family wouldn't let her move, which made her feel even more embarrassed.

"Is this enough food?"

Xu Junyang turned the bowl over for her to see.

“It’s a bit much.”

Xu Junyang symbolically put two grains into his bowl and handed the bowl to Chen Man.

Chen Man: ...

Xu Junyang ate very elegantly, but it was visible to the naked eye that the bowl of rice had disappeared.

Xu Junyang is quite similar to his grandfather. He sits at the table and eats quietly without saying much.

Grandma Junyang greeted Chen Man warmly, "Eat more, Chen Man. Young people don't like us to help them with food, so help yourself. There's also fruit."

"Okay, thank you, grandma."

"Oh, why do we need your help, you delicate girl? Wait, don't go. We're used to it. Our ancestors have lived on farming for generations. Although we don't rely on farming for food anymore, we can't bear to give it up. So we planted the field next to the house while we can still do something. It made my Junyang follow us around all day long."

Chen Man glanced at Xu Junyang. He was still eating quietly, without any impatience or complaints on his face.

Chen Man smiled and said, "Old people are healthier if they have something to do."

"Yes! My grandchildren are all well-behaved, obedient and sensible. I have never had to worry about them since they were young. Especially my Junyang. Oh, I almost forgot."

Grandma Junyang stood up and walked quickly to the refrigerator, opened the door and took something out.

She handed it to Xu Junyang who was eating, "Here, eat."

Chen Man took a look and saw two eggs, burnt black, with one yolk exposed. Burnt? Could they have exploded?

Chen Man watched calmly.

Xu Junyang sighed inaudibly, took it, peeled it, and ate everything that was edible.

"The egg roaster told me not to worry, saying that your destined love is a thread that will lead you there, and that you'll figure it out yourself when the time comes. I don't think she was right this time. You know, even pigs can climb trees if they plan. You're just like your grandfather, a total taciturn person."
