Chapter 190: Feelings will change after being apart for a long time

Xu Junyang held Chen Man's outstretched hand and asked her, "Do you think it's too simple and lacks a sense of ceremony?"

Before proposing today, Xu Junyang thought of many proposal plans.

But he rejected them all.

It's flashy, lively and awkward.

Nothing can make people feel comfortable and at ease as this ordinary and plain way.

Chen Man fantasized about waking up one morning and finding an engagement ring on her hand, or taking it out of his pocket when he returned home at night.

Proposing marriage doesn't really need any grand ceremony.

She didn't want to see a scene where the ring was placed in the cake and she put it into her mouth and then spit it out.

I don't want a bunch of people standing by to make noise and watch the fun.

Just because she is not such a lively person, this is good, just right.

In ordinary life, there are touching moments and surprises, which makes them extremely precious.

Chen Man smiled and said, "This is the ideal sense of ritual in my mind."

"Sometimes I feel like we're on the same page. Luckily you didn't make a scene. It was a happy occasion, but a little awkward."

"I'm still used to this kind of secret happiness."

She looked up at him and gave him a sweet smile.

Xu Junyang looked so gentle, with a faint smile on his face and his eyes shining with tenderness.

He released her hand, took out the ring, and placed the ring box on the table.

He gently lifted her hand and slowly put the ring on her delicate hand.

The two of them silently looked at Chen Man's hand wearing the ring.

After a while, Xu Junyang gently lifted her hand and kissed her fingers.

"Chen Man, I love you." He looked at her and said solemnly.

Chen Man heard it and nodded.

But she didn't look at him, instead she looked down at her finger with the ring, her heart full of emotions.

She was smiling one moment, and the next moment tears burst out, splashing on the back of his hand that was holding hers.

She is going to form a new family with Xu Junyang.

In this way, she is no longer alone, no longer a person wandering alone in the world.

No matter how much Xu Junyang loves her, without marriage, she will always be alone, a person without a home.

People who have a home will never understand how lonely and helpless people without a home are. She is like an extra person in the world who has no reason, very redundant.

A tear fell, breaking the dam, and it could no longer be hidden.

Xu Junyang saw the big tear on his hand, hugged her tightly to his chest, and gently stroked her back.

Chen Man cried more and more vigorously, her heart ached and she had to open her mouth to breathe.

Xu Junyang held her and sat down, letting her cry on his lap, and reached out to grab a tissue to wipe her tears.

"I miss my mom so much." Chen Man choked up, tears uncontrollably coming out of her eyes. She nestled in his arms and cried out loudly, "I don't have a mom anymore."

Xu Junyang felt distressed when he heard this and put his hand on her head and stroked it gently.

He didn't understand how it felt to be without a mother. From childhood to adulthood, everyone in his family was safe and sound, and he had never experienced the pain of losing a loved one.

He had never thought about it, nor did he dare to think about it.

As he grew older, the elderly people in his family grew older.

Every year, several elderly people leave the village, and those who work outside come back, bringing about a new generation.

Chen Man cried for a while, calmed herself down, and wiped the tears from her face and nose with a tissue.

"Cough, cough." She coughed twice and cleared her throat, "Brother Yang, have you eaten?"

Xu Junyang loosened her grip a little and looked into her red eyes.

"Do you still want to cry? Your eyes are all bloodshot."

Chen Man shook her head. "Don't cry anymore. I'll just miss her in waves. I'll feel better after I finish crying."

Xu Junyang held her up and put her on the ground, "Then accompany me home for dinner."

Chen Man nodded, "I'll go wash my face first."

After washing her face, her eyes were still red. Chen Man didn't care and thought it would be fine after a while.

She came over, and Xu Junyang put his arm around her shoulders and walked out.

Passing by the yard, Chen Man pointed at the garden and said, "Look, when you left, there were no buds yet. It rained, and then there were a few days of sunshine. Now it has grown a lot taller."

Xu Junyang took a look and said, "No need to buy melons this year."

Chen Man said happily, "Do you know where I planted the watermelon?"

Xu Junyang pointed, "There."

"Oh, you guessed right." Although he dug the soil, she planted the seeds little by little by herself, planning and planting them slowly.

Xu Junyang chuckled, "No need to guess, you can tell by looking at the leaves."

"Is it that easy? Then can you tell what my other seedlings are?"

Xu Junyang nodded, "Yeah."

He named them one by one and they were all correct.

Chen Man had never farmed before and only knew mature rice plants. She couldn't really tell the seedlings apart. "Amazing!"

"Rural people, I've seen a lot."

The two walked into the yard.

Xu Junyang opened the trunk and took out everything in the back.

He had a suitcase, many shopping bags, and several boxes of nutritional supplements.

"These are the things my aunt and my parents bought for grandpa and grandma, clothes, shoes, nutritional supplements and so on."

Chen Man helped carry things and asked him, "Have you ever met your aunt?"

"Well, I was abroad last year and just returned recently."

Xu Junyang was carrying several bags in his hands, his sleeves rolled up, and veins bulged on his arms.

Chen Man carried one in each hand and followed him into the house, her eyes fixed on his arm.

She sat on that arm several times.
