Chapter 37: Ingratitude
The person in front of him slowly raised his hands and held Ning Che's face, his movements as gentle as if he was holding a rare treasure.
The cold cheeks were caressed by a pair of moist and warm palms, and there was no longer any trace of murderous intent in those resentful and violent eyes.
He loosened his grip, letting his arms hang at his sides, completely free of strength.
"Baby, are you scared?"
Ning Che took two steps back, his back against the door, and only then did he feel a little safer.
"What are you doing?"
Without waiting for Fu Chengyun to respond, he asked again: "Why did you push me away?"
His voice was even colder than the previous one. He hid in the shadows, his hands clenched until they turned white.
"I almost killed you."
She suddenly raised her head, her eyes were as fierce as a wild beast, and her pretty face became a little distorted because of her cruelty, as if the taut string had broken, leaving only pure catharsis.
"Don't ever push me away at times like this again. I can't promise I won't break your neck next time!"
He roared, the veins on his neck bulged out, throbbing faintly under his thin skin.
"Do you know this or not?" His hands were like pliers, tightly grabbing Fu Chengyun's arms and shaking them.
"You will die!" The charming Danfeng eyes were bloodshot, which made people shudder.
But I couldn't take my eyes off it.
My arms were gripped so tightly that I lost feeling, and every time I raised my hands, I felt a sharp pain like a knife cutting into them.
Fu Chengyun hugged him desperately, hugging this terrified yet self-blaming little beast in front of him.
Although he looked ferocious, Fu Chengyun saw the glimmer of light in his eyes.
He was afraid, afraid of the pain he had suffered in the past, and also afraid of losing himself.
Fu Chengyun wanted to touch his head and ask him how much strength he had exerted to restrain the violence that had melted into his blood and bones and not hurt himself.
"I understand." He hugged the terrified person in his arms tightly.
"Baby, don't be afraid anymore." Fu Chengyun held him and rocked him gently, trying to ease his panic. Only when he felt the body in his arms relax slightly did he dare to free one hand to stroke his head.
His long, flowing hair was now disheveled due to his fury and restlessness. Fu Chengyun used his fingers as a comb, gently straightening it out one by one.
He rubbed Ning Che's cheek with the side of his face, and the temperature of his skin was frighteningly cold.
Beneath the arrogant and overbearing shell, there is actually such a fragile, frightened and suspicious body.
So much so that no matter how I expressed my love, he never believed me.
So much so that when he was isolated and helpless, the only thing he thought of was exchanging his body for money.
So much so that a push away could pull him into the dark abyss and make it difficult to escape.
The person in his arms was trembling slightly. Fu Chengyun stroked his back, as if touching the winding old scars and the blood flowing from the scars.
He picked the person up and sat on the bed, pulling the quilt over him and wrapping the frightened person tightly in his arms.
Fu Chengyun swayed slightly, imitating the movements his mother used to coax him to sleep when he was a child, soothing Ning Che. However, the nursery rhyme he hummed was replaced by a low and gentle tone.
"I don't know what you've been through, but I imagine it must have been a dark and painful time."
The person in his arms moved slightly, and his clenched fists loosened.
"The memories engraved in your bones make you dare not trust others, even me. I can understand it, really." Fu Chengyun lowered his head, and stopped when his lips were about to touch his forehead.
"But you don't have to trade anything with me! You can have whatever you want from me. It doesn't cost anything."
The long eyelashes hanging on his eyelids suddenly flapped twice. Ning Che looked up at him, his fear still not gone, and his expression was a little puzzled.
Fu Chengyun breathed a sigh of relief. He quickly took out his phone and held it in front of Ning Che. "Your phone has been linked to my supplementary card. From now on, you can use it to pay for any amount of money."
He caressed the pale little face with deep affection. "I pushed you away just now without any ill intentions. I simply couldn't bear to leave you. Don't treat yourself like this again. I really care about you."
The person in his arms tilted his head slightly, with a look of deer-like innocence. "How could someone truly treat me?"
"Yes, it's me." Fu Chengyun rested his chin on his head, hugged him tightly and rocked him gently, speaking softly as if coaxing a child.
"My darling is beautiful, smart, skilled in martial arts, and very thoughtful. Who wouldn't love such an outstanding omega? Of course I have to treat you well."
"Why?" A muffled voice came from my arms, with a hoarse ending.
"Because I like you."
A sneer came from his arms, and Fu Chengyun knew without even looking that there must be contempt on that person's face.
"Doesn't liking me mean you want to possess me?"
Fu Chengyun lifted Ning Che's chin, forcing him to look straight at him, and said in a heavy and firm tone, "I like you because I want you to be happy, well-fed and warmly clothed, safe, and secure. I want every minute you spend with me to be fulfilled and happy."
Ning Che was stunned for a moment. How come he understood every word Fu Chengyun said, but couldn't understand them together?
He only knows how to use any means to achieve his goals, only knows how to exchange interests, and only knows how to trample his enemies under his feet and enjoy their obedience out of fear.
I haven't thought about anything like happiness, joy, or treating you sincerely.
He looked up at the person who was holding him in his arms. There was endless tenderness on his angular face. Only he was reflected in his dark pupils, and his eyes were full of sincerity.
perhaps?
Maybe he really likes me?
A slender white hand grasped the front of Fu Chengyun's pajamas, fingertips stroking the fabric. Ning Che lowered his head again and asked hesitantly, "Do you really like me?"
"Um."
The big hand wrapped around the small hand, and Fu Chengyun said in a deep voice: "Really, because you are worth it."
Am I worth it?
I've been killing people like crazy since I was ten, using any means necessary to achieve my goals. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people have died in my hands.
Everyone in the demon sect is terrified! Everyone in the righteous sect is shouting for death!
Even if he ascended to the position of the leader, it was only achieved by poisoning the leader and killing his fellow disciples.
Someone like me?
you tell me,
Am I worth it?
"Am I worth it?" He had the answer in his heart, but he asked again without giving up.
"It's worth it!" Fu Chengyun said firmly, his eyes bright and without hesitation.
Ning Che looked up suddenly.
No maybe!
He really likes me!
Ning Che's heart was trembling beyond measure, like a lone boat tossed in the midst of a raging wave. His slender white fingers clutched the front of Fu Chengyun's pajamas tightly, as if grasping at a lifeline.
"W-What do you like about me?"
Fu Chengyun avoided answering, guiding him to think. "Have you ever liked anyone?"
"No! I spend all day thinking about killing people to save my life. I don't have time to think about useless things."
A hint of ruthlessness flashed across Ning Che's face, followed by disdain, and finally confusion.
He lowered his long eyelashes to hide the confusion in his eyes.
Lizi likes Fu Chengyun and pursues him passionately. Fu Chengyun likes her and pampers her with care.
But he had neither affection for Fu Chengyun nor thought about him day and night.
I only long for his embrace, and sometimes even desire his body.
I have no clue, and the more I think about it, the more upset I get.
Love affairs are too tedious, and are not as satisfying as the pleasure of life and death.
Anyway, before Fu Chengyun gets tired of me, I can live a life of ease and comfort. What kind of love is that? It's all bullshit!
The most urgent task is to think about how to revive the Demon Cult in a practical way.
The scent of cedar and rose blended together, sweet but not greasy, refreshing and comfortable, tightly wrapping the two people.
Ning Che felt very comfortable and a little tired, so he simply nestled in this affectionate embrace and closed his eyelashes.
Fu Chengyun looked at him and smiled dotingly.
The little fox spent the first half of his life studying survival, and the second half should be spent thinking about love.
"It doesn't matter. As long as I don't let you go, we have plenty of time."
The person in his arms was breathing lightly and evenly. Fu Chengyun whispered tentatively, "Baby?"
After a moment, there was no response.
The little fox lay obediently in his arms like a finely crafted work of art.
The instinctive attraction burst out from his lower abdomen.
Fu Chengyun slowly lowered his head, his movements as slow as a guilty thief.
But he is a flower thief!
When his lips approached the two pink lips he had been thinking about day and night, Fu Chengyun even held his breath.
The exquisite face was magnified countless times before my eyes, becoming even more flawless.
The snow-white skin seemed to glow fluorescently.
My heartbeat quickened, and the blood in my body seemed to freeze in an instant. My body adjusted to the best state, ready to taste the sweetness under the cherry lips.
He tilted his head slightly and closed his eyes.
“Woo!”
Fu Chengyun suddenly opened his eyes and found his lips pinched by two fingers.
In front of me was a face that was trying hard to suppress its excitement.
The person in his arms fluttered her eyelashes, slowly raised her eyes to look at him, and was stunned for a moment.
"What?"
"Didn't I tell you not to touch me if you don't agree down there?"
Ning Che suddenly jumped up from his arms, his eyes wide open and bright.
"Have you thought it through?"
"Are you willing?"
A big smile appeared on her delicate flower-like face. Ning Che came closer, pinched Fu Chengyun's fleshless face, and pouted coquettishly.
"I promise not to hurt you~"
The slender white feet stepped on the carpet and were about to run to the bathroom.
"Wait for me to get ready!"
As soon as I turned around, someone grabbed my wrist forcefully.
"Come back here!"
Fu Chengyun was furious.
"I don't agree with that!"
"Look at your small body, can you hold it down?"
Ning Che was dragged onto the bed by him, tilting his head and asking: "Then kiss me?"
"What's wrong with a kiss?! I like you so much, I can't help myself!"
Fu Chengyun was so angry that his face turned red and his neck was thick. He wanted to take off his pants and execute him on the spot.
Ning Che looked up at him, blinking his big eyes twice. He sighed, climbed onto the bed, pulled back the quilt, and got in.
He looked disappointed and lonely.
"If you don't want to sacrifice yourself, don't touch me."
He lay on his side, leaving Fu Chengyun with only his cold back.
Fu Chengyun: ...
He sat by the bed for a long time, his legs still in the position of hugging someone.
The sweet fragrance of the rose in my arms has not yet dissipated, and the warmth is still around me.
That person turned against me first!
He turned his head and stared at the perfectly toned back, feeling only cruel and ungrateful.
"ungrateful!"
"I pushed you away for no reason!"
