Chapter 56 Lord Lord
Ning Che smiled.
His guess turned out to be correct. This Assistant Lin admired him very much.
At present, he is weak and powerless, and depends on Fu Chengyun for his survival. Apart from his face that can still attract people, he doesn't know what else about him is worthy of the blind admiration of this assistant who is second only to him.
But not being able to figure it out is one thing, and knowing it is another.
Now that there are loyal subordinates right here at my doorstep, it would be a shame not to make good use of them.
Ning Che pushed Fu Chengyun away, sat up straight on the sofa, looked at Assistant Lin and thanked him gently. "Thank you for helping me out, Xiaolin."
Fu Chengyun: ...Huh?
That's quite polite...
Assistant Lin looked at him anxiously, as if a little flattered, and stammered, "Of course, of course."
She fumbled awkwardly, placing the documents on her desk and blushing, reminding him, "Mr. Fu, the press conference will start in five minutes. Please get ready."
Fu Chengyun had never seen her like this before, and for a moment he wondered what these two people were doing.
But the press conference is their biggest project this quarter, and it is widely watched by the entire group and even all walks of life. He dare not relax.
Fu Chengyun immediately regained his composure, changing his shameless and clingy expression. He turned aside and briefly explained a few words to Ning Che before getting up and leaving the office.
Assistant Lin followed him out.
Before she even stepped out of the door, a clear voice rang out behind her.
"Xiao Lin, stay."
Assistant Lin stood there in a daze. In front of him was the boss who had helped him to succeed, and behind him was the righteous idol he had admired for a long time.
She stood at the crossroads between her bread and her dreams, hesitant and undecided, her head shaking like a rattle, looking at this and that.
Ning Che saw her conflicted look and burst out laughing.
Her eyes are like the moon, her smile is like a branch breaking through the snow, and she is full of radiance.
Assistant Lin was completely mesmerized.
Ignoring the boss's back as he got into the elevator, he made the decision immediately.
"Madam, what do you want?"
"Please sit down."
Ning Che raised his hand and motioned for Assistant Lin to sit on the sofa. He had always been good at managing his subordinates, always treating his loyal and capable subordinates with a certain amount of appreciation.
Assistant Lin sat on the sofa, unconsciously scratching his knees with his hands.
She felt the nervousness of going to her idol's autograph booth. She even considered going to the security office after work to download the video to her phone and save it forever.
Ning Che took in the awkward, excited and nervous expression, and he slightly raised the corners of his lips.
I thought to myself: It’s almost right.
Smart people tend to be straightforward when they talk. Ning Che got straight to the point: "I want a gun and a shooting instructor."
Assistant Lin nodded: "Okay."
"Don't let Fu Chengyun know."
She didn't even ask why, and nodded again: "I understand!"
Ning Che stood up and walked to her side, patted her shoulder, and said encouragingly with a smile: "Thank you for your hard work."
"Of course, of course." Assistant Lin made room for Ning Che to walk in front, and he followed behind her.
The two came out of the office together and took the elevator to the first floor lobby.
Fu Chengyun's instructions to Assistant Lin were to bring Ning Che to his side.
With Fu Linyu's arrival, the company's internal harmony was no longer as peaceful as before. The group was now divided into three factions, one siding with Fu Chengyun and the other with Fu Linyu. Meanwhile, those cunning shareholders remained steadfast behind Fu Chen.
Although Fu Chengyun is still the dominant family at present, the fact that Fu Linyu was able to win over so many people in just a few days shows that he has great means.
Fu Chengyun suspected that Fu Chen was secretly giving him advice when this loser mama's boy suddenly became capable and resourceful, but at the same time he had to be more cautious.
If it weren't for the little fox at home making such a fuss, he would never have let Ning Che leave the safe zone he created. Now letting Ning Che stay with him was already a risky move.
Fortunately, he has a lot of people in the company, and the little fox is operating under his nose. He thinks Fu Linyu will not dare to act rashly.
Fu Chengyun knew what was going on, so he took the information and went straight to the venue.
The press conference was held in the lobby on the first floor. Firstly, the lobby was well-lit and spacious, making it convenient for installing a large screen and lighting. Secondly, it could accommodate more media and facilitate the flow of personnel.
Deep in the hall, a large screen stood against the wall. Below the screen, a long table covered with red cloth sat on a raised platform, with neatly arranged chairs below for the media to sit and ask questions.
By the time Ning Che and Assistant Lin arrived, the seats were already packed with media, eagerly awaiting Fu Chengyun's speech.
Fu Chengyun didn't want to cause a commotion, so he arranged for Ning Che to go directly through the small door into the makeshift lounge behind the long table. He arranged for Assistant Lin to bring him fruits, desserts, and milk, and he called Ning Che several times to remind him not to leave without permission.
After everything was done, he finally breathed a sigh of relief and concentrated on his work.
The lounge behind the long table was hastily built, made entirely of thin plastic sheets. It was neither soundproof nor sturdy.
Although there were only two chairs and a small table in the lounge, the airtight space still seemed cramped and small.
Ning Che leaned back in an armchair, his legs draped over another, and picked up a strawberry from the small table beside him. He watched a shooting video on his phone while occasionally listening to the sounds from the field.
Fu Chengyun was used to giving orders to his subordinates, and usually appeared gentle and affable, able to get along with everyone. But once he was in the middle of a scene, he became serious and measured.
The clarity of his words, expressed in just a few sentences, reveals his professionalism. His words are concise yet witty, leaving the listener feeling drawn to him.
Ning Che sneered inwardly. As expected of the Fu Clan's leader, he was quite capable. Even though he had led a group of followers before, he didn't have his eloquence.
But on second thought, I'm afraid I'll be inferior to him in the ability to paint a rosy picture for others.
After a while, the plate of strawberries was empty. Ning Che took out his phone and sent a message to Assistant Lin, asking her to come over when she was not busy to get more strawberries.
Within five minutes, with a "creak", the door of the lounge was pushed open from the outside to the inside.
Ning Che thought it was Assistant Lin who was delivering the strawberries, so he knocked on the table. "Just put it here. Thank you for your hard work."
He also pointed at Assistant Lin to get him a gun, so naturally he had to be polite.
The hut fell into an eerie silence as soon as he finished speaking.
The footsteps came from far away, without the lightness of a woman, nor the hurriedness of a worker.
His steps were steady, each one firmly and powerfully placed on the ground before he slowly lifted his other foot.
!!!!
These were the steps of a man, each one carrying temptation and hatred.
Alarm bells rang in his head instantly. He calmly held the phone in his palm, ready to throw it as a hidden weapon at the opponent at any time.
In the small space, it was difficult for the air to circulate. Ning Che held his breath and was quietly on guard against any attack from the stranger.
After a moment, the footsteps stopped one meter away from him, and finally he received a malicious greeting.
"How are you, my lord?"
