Chapter 63 Meeting

Chapter 63 Meeting

Fu Chengyun collected the contracts one by one and handed them to Assistant Lin, and the two walked out of the Fu family mansion.

When he reached the gate, he bumped into Fu Linyu who was coming towards him.

There was no one around, so Fu Linyu didn't even bother pretending.

He walked up to Fu Chengyun, stared at his shirt and said sarcastically, "Hey! Big brother, this is abstract art."

Fu Chengyun retorted, "Thanks to you. You're the best at abstract art."

"Haha!" He had heard about the police incident the first time. The more violently this star-crossed couple quarreled, the happier he was. The sun shone from behind, casting Fu Linyu's face in shadow, and his smile grew increasingly sinister.

"Brother, I gave you a chance. If you insist on protecting him, then there's nothing I can do."

Fu Chengyun didn't want to argue with the rat in the gutter, so he just walked away.

Someone grabbed his forearm, and Fu Linyu's smile widened. "Hey, big brother, let me ask you a question."

He completely ignored Fu Chengyun's cold gaze and continued to talk to himself:

"You said, if you protect yourself, then the sister-in-law will be a bargain for me. If you protect the sister-in-law, I want to ask you, since you have already left the company and have no power or influence, what can you use to protect him?"

His face turned a frightening blue-gray, and his narrow eyes were so sinister they could have dripped ink. Fu Chengyun grabbed Fu Linyu by the collar and gnashed his teeth, "If you dare touch even a hair on his head, I'll skin you alive!"

"I'm really scared." Fu Linyu patted his chest. Then he smiled lewdly. "What if he begs me to touch him? You can't blame me."

Fu Linyu slowly unbuttoned his collar and strode into the mansion with his head held high, looking like a winner.

Fu Chengyun was left standing there in a daze.

He was right. Fu Linyu was not interested in the company at all. His target from the beginning to the end was only Ning Che!

A red and white figure disappeared into the dusk. Fu Chengyun concealed the fierceness in his eyes and left without looking back.

——

Ning Che had suffered more losses than he had eaten after years of walking in the dark. Even when he fainted and lost consciousness, he could still sense Fu Chengyun's absence the moment he was there. He once struggled to wake up in the ambulance, but was completely sedated by the medical staff.

When I woke up again, it was already noon the next day.

He had a splitting headache, felt drowsy, and his whole body felt like it was tied up in shackles. Even bending his fingers unconsciously hurt him and he was sweating profusely.

Ning Che opened his eyes in a daze, and saw a pale scene.

He was stunned for two seconds, then turned his head to look around. There were policemen, nurses, IV bottles, and various machines he didn't recognize beeping around him, but there was no sign of Fu Chengyun.

A feeling of loss came over him, and he lay on the bed with his head tilted to the side, in a daze.

"Awake?" the captain came forward to greet him. "The doctor said your condition is relatively stable. We'll take you back to the police station later."

Ning Che was stunned and didn't answer.

He thought that if he couldn't see Fu Chengyun, he would break down and cry again. But after a while, his eyes didn't get wet at all.

He seemed to have only a sense of loss.

Fu Chengyun's furious roar of "I want you!" still echoed in his ears. His wandering heart finally found a place to lean on. He didn't know why, but hearing those three words, Fu Chengyun, was like taking a pill of reassurance. The anxiety that had tormented him for over a decade vanished overnight, as cleanly and neatly as if it had never even occurred.

He quickly adjusted his state, and under his relaxed appearance, there was vigilance. He cooperated very well and completed the process.

When Ning Che got out of the police car with his hands handcuffed, his entire body was wrapped in white bandages, so that he couldn't wear any clothes at all. He could only return to the police station wearing a baggy hospital gown.

Without Fu Chengyun around, he regained his unruly demeanor. He followed the police officer with an indifferent expression, one hand on the IV stand, and walked unsteadily.

"Let me help you." The captain took two steps to him and reached out to hold the IV stand.

"No need." Ning Che raised his eyelids slightly, looked at him, grabbed the iron rack again, and continued to move forward slowly while holding it.

Normally, he would be happy to be served. But things were different now. Now that he knew Xu Jia's men were in the police station, he had to be extra careful.

You have to do everything yourself to live longer.

Because his calves and feet were also bandaged, his pace was slow and labored. It took him five minutes to walk a meter, so labored that he couldn't help but tremble with each step, and a thin layer of sweat quickly covered his forehead.

His lower lip was pressed into a straight line, his face was pale, but there was no trace of depression in his eyes. He was always staring straight ahead, as if his chest was filled with infinite power.

To the police, this appearance makes him look very strong-willed and self-reliant despite being disabled.

They have always been strict and cautious in treating prisoners. Sometimes they would even beat up those who were disobedient, as if they were eliminating harm to the people.

But the person in front of me is really beautiful, and the calm and relaxed demeanor in her every move is really charming.

No matter how you look at it, it has absolutely nothing to do with the murderous and child-torturing villain. And someone in the bureau revealed the internal fighting among the group.

When the policemen exchanged glances, they each had their own plans.

There must be something hidden in this.

The escorting police felt sympathy for Ning Che, thinking he was being framed, and naturally their attitude was very gentle. They didn't say a single harsh word to him along the way.

Ning Che was moving forward, taking three steps and stopping every now and then, while the police were following patiently from behind.

Two of the police officers led him slowly in front, while two held out their arms behind him to protect him. They kept a close eye on his staggering steps, fearing he would fall again and worsen his injuries.

After a few people finally moved to the cell area, Ning Che raised his eyelids and asked:

"Isn't that the one?"

"Well, your damned man spent a fortune to arrange a big room for you." The captain opened the cell door while removing his handcuffs. He always had a bad temper when talking about Fu Chengyun.

Other colleagues immediately chimed in, "I heard he only got this spot after donating a library!" "Tsk! Just being rich is such a big deal."

Ning Che glanced at them with the corner of his eye, automatically ignoring their shared hatred of the enemy.

'Dead man?'

The dead man is coming!

His eyebrows moved, and a hint of joy appeared on his calm face.

When Fu Chengyun was not around, he was still the proud and arrogant lord. Even though he was imprisoned, he was still surrounded by an air of fearlessness and the ability to make plans.

When Fu Chengyun was around, he immediately became arrogant and fragile.

The wounds all over his body began to show, he couldn't carry anything on his shoulders or hands, he couldn't even walk, and his eyes, which used to be bright and shining, were immediately covered with tears.

The door opened and the light scent of cedar hit me in the face.

A resolute and stern face occupied the entire sight. There was a smile in the corners of that person's eyes and eyebrows, like a stream flowing through the heart, unspeakably gentle.

The moment their eyes met, the resilient Lord's spine collapsed, as straight as steel. He leaned against the door frame with his body tilted, and even the fingers that were holding the IV stand fell weakly to his sides.

The corners of her eyes are frivolous, and when she glances sideways, she looks very charming and graceful, like a willow swaying in the wind.

"I feel so uncomfortable, Fu Chengyun..."
