Chapter 79 Angry and Depressed

Chapter 79 Angry and Depressed

Fu Chengyun stared at the mahogany carved door for a moment.

The last sentence Ning Che roared out echoed in his ears like a single loop, and it sank into his heart, making him feel sad.

β€”'You don't care what I want?'

Why don't you care? I obviously care a lot!

Fu Chengyun put his hand on the door handle and pressed it down.

β€”β€”'I've always been alone~'

Why am I alone? I'm dead!

He loosened his grip again.

His black crocodile leather shoes made no sound on the carpet. He paced outside the door, twirling his fingers in his pockets.

Fu Chengyun wanted to light a cigarette, and wanted to pinch Ning Che's tender finger between his index and middle fingers, and bring it to his lips to take a sip.

The scent of roses penetrated his lungs, and perhaps he would be able to figure it out.

But it doesn't work.

If he went in now, he would get a loud slap in the face before he could even hold that finger.

The little fox never keeps his word and even hits himself when he gets angry.

He looked up at the carved wooden door again, trying to see through the thick wood what his baby was doing.

Sitting by the bay window, feeling melancholy? Hiding in bed crying? Or grabbing something and hitting it?

I hope it’s not the last possibility, his injury has just healed.

Fu Chengyun hesitated, his toes almost touching the door.

He wanted to knock on the door, but just as he raised his hand, the door shook, followed by a loud shattering sound.

It sounded like ceramic hitting the door and breaking apart.

Very good, smashing things is better than smashing yourself.

Fu Chengyun felt relieved, turned around and slowly walked down the stairs.

As soon as I walked downstairs, I was met with the worried face of Butler Li.

"Another fight? Because he played with a gun?"

"No." Fu Chengyun loosened his tie, walked to the sofa and slumped down, sighing, "He beat up a group of thugs and was arrested by the police. Later, he had to send those thugs to work in the company."

After explaining, he felt it was ridiculous again. He looked sideways at the old housekeeper and asked, "A normal person wouldn't agree to this, right?"

But he is not a normal person!

Butler Li moved his mouth, not daring to tell the truth, and was thinking in his mind how to explain it.

Fu Chengyun pulled off his tie and threw it on the floor, but his eyes were dazzled by the glitter of the diamond on the tie clip.

He suddenly seemed to remember something and asked, "Is he really just a person practicing in a temple?"

"Ah" Butler Li was shocked. Why did he suddenly ask this question?

Did Ning Che reveal too much? Or did someone else leak the secret?

Regardless of the reason, he couldn't tell the truth. Not to mention the bizarre nature of the matter, the blood on his hands alone was enough to scare Fu Chengyun away.

He doesn't dare to gamble on people's hearts, let alone their feelings.

Steward Li rubbed his chest, feigning embarrassment. "In fact, he was once the head of a sect."

"Master? Sect?"

Fu Chengyun suddenly looked up, looking at Butler Li with a complicated expression. It was a combination of surprise, suspicion, amusement, speechlessness, and a hint of "I see."

"What era is this? Are there still sects?"

"Wudang or Shaolin?"

"It can't be Emei!"

The teasing words almost came out of his mouth, and he slapped himself in the face as soon as he finished speaking.

"How could I say that about him!"

Butler Li: ...

The more you talk, the more mistakes you make. Fu Chengyun is too perceptive. While he can still deceive him for a while, Butler Li quickly got up and prepared to go back to his room.

As they reached the door, the old man, still worried, gave a warning. "Don't be fooled by his appearance. He's not weak at all. From the moment he accepted your kindness, he was determined to protect you."

After saying that, the old man went back to his room. Fu Chengyun stared at the floor and fell into deep thought again.

If he remembered correctly, there was a dark red bloodstain on the marble floor tile in front of him, and there was also one in the kitchen.

Fu Chengyun's entire body trembled, as if an electric current had passed through him. Something seemed to become clearer, but it only lasted a moment before disappearing. He didn't catch it, let alone see it clearly.

He sat on the sofa for half the night, until dawn in the east, when the sky changed from pitch black to dark blue. Only then did he get up and walk towards the backyard.

Behind the curtains on the second floor, a pair of eyes were hidden in the darkness, looking down at the slowly moving figure.

Ning Che's heart skipped a beat until the figure entered the shooting room.

After Fu Chengyun left, Ning Che rushed into the shooting room like a flash.

His bare feet stumbled upon the rough brick surface, causing a hissing pain on his soles. He froze in place, his face filled with confusion.

The gun is gone!

Fu Chengyun took it away!

He confiscated my gun!

"I'm going to fight him!" Ning Che roared, and like a sudden wildfire, the flames hit his forehead. He raised his foot and rushed out.

Butler Li grabbed his arm.

"Why fight? It's just a gun! It's not your life!" Butler Li guessed the couple's intentions and waited at the door of the shooting room early in the morning.

"It's my life!" Ning Che grabbed the old man's hand and tried to rush out again.

But the old man was prepared. He skillfully tied Ning Che's arm to the door handle with a shoelace.

Ning Che saw his situation clearly, curled his lips, and squatted on the ground dejectedly.

"What are you doing? You are just biased!"

The voice was low and the crying tone was particularly obvious in the quiet morning.

He raised his hand and slapped himself in the face, "You cry after a quarrel, you are useless!"

Butler Li: ...

You two are truly a match made in heaven!

"Cry if you want to, grandpa will accompany you." The old man stroked Ning Che's head, as if comforting a little animal that had been wronged.

Ning Che buried his head in his knees and said, "I'm not crying." He couldn't help sobbing after saying this. "Crying is weakness. I've been in the Demon Sect for more than ten years and I've never cried!"

Butler Li pulled a tissue out of his pocket and handed it over. He said with relief, "Really? My little Che is so strong."

"Yeah!" He nodded slightly with his head buried in his knees.

Butler Li added meaningfully, "So, Grandpa has to thank Cheng Yun."

"Why should I thank that bastard!" He raised his face, and two lines of crystal tear marks hung on his fair face.

"Thank you, Cheng Yun, for teaching you to let your tears flow, not swallow them." The old man smiled and raised his hand to untie the shoelaces around his arm. "Someone melted your heart, so you dared to cry."

"Really? Who is it?"

"Cheng Yun!"

Butler Li pulled him up from the ground and pushed him forward, muttering, "I called Assistant Lin this morning, and we've got the overseas project. We're holding a kick-off meeting today. Because there's a lot of startup funding involved, all the incumbent employees will be participating. Don't cause trouble and embarrass Cheng Yun."

"Oh." Ning Che had always been well-behaved in front of Butler Li, and was wondering whether he dared to cry, so he was a little dazed for a moment.

After a while, when the two of them reached the back door, he finally realized, "What do you mean by making trouble? I'm also a shareholder, so I should be attending the meeting normally."

He rested his knuckles on his chin, thought for a moment, and then said, "Besides, I've taken over his father's shares, so from now on I'm his father!"

Butler Li: ... "Hurry up and take a shower!"

"Why?"

"Go and bring food to your son..."
