Chapter 24 Love the House and the Dog
Housekeeper Li and Auntie found excuses to leave the living room, leaving the young couple some space to themselves.
Jia'er stared at the plate of lychees, wondering if they really became sweeter after being bitten by her handsome uncle. Little Bai Tuanzi, who had a sweet tooth, immediately pestered Ning Che to give him one, too.
Ning Che simply ignored his begging and forced Jiaer to go upstairs to take a shower.
He snatched the lychee from Jiaer's hand, tossed it onto the plate, picked up the little figure, and went upstairs. The whole process was smooth and effortless.
Her long eyelashes drooped slightly, her face was calm, showing no joy or anger, and she didn't even look at Fu Chengyun.
But the moment he turned around, Fu Chengyun saw clearly that the man's small, fair earlobe had already turned red enough to bleed.
Soon, the sound of children's laughter could be heard from upstairs, occasionally interspersed with Ning Che's angry roar.
The crackling noise continued for more than twenty minutes.
Butler Li felt something was wrong when he heard the noise and wanted to go upstairs to ask, but as soon as he poked his head out of the kitchen, he retreated back.
He was startled by Fu Chengyun.
Fu Chengyun stood quietly downstairs, staring at the master bedroom door with his head held high, motionless.
Butler Li felt hesitant and hesitant, as if he were a guilty thief.
After all, the fact that Ning Che broke the director's son's arm was still a matter of knowing but not reporting.
He hesitated a little but still walked out.
"Xiao Che suffered a lot in the past, so he's covered in thorns. But at heart, he's a simple and well-behaved child."
"Yeah," Fu Chengyun said, still looking up, his voice gentle and smiling. "We've changed a lot here because of him."
"Yes, it's been quiet for so many years. It's much more lively since Xiao Che came." Butler Li sat at the dining table and peeled green onions in his hand.
Big beads of sweat dripped down his forehead.
Beating people, quarreling, forcing Fu Chengyun to sleep in the guest room, making the little model dance, and sticking out the child's arm...
Butler Li: You just say it’s hot but not lively!
He was afraid that Fu Chengyun would lose his patience and kick Ning Che out, so he wanted to say something to win Ning Che's favor.
"Don't get under the table!" Ning Che's angry roar rang out again upstairs.
Butler Li regretted not taking the quick-acting heart pills today.
Fu Chengyun smiled. "He treats Jia'er like his own daughter. At least that shows he's kind."
The fingers pulling the onion skin paused in mid-air. Steward Li's face turned grim as he stammered, "You, you know everything?"
"Oh!" Fu Chengyun sneered, "He didn't ask you to tell me, right?"
"Let me explain it to you."
Fu Chengyun waved his hand. "Everything happened for a reason. I won't blame him. I'll discuss this with my sister and we'll resolve it."
"But..." The two quarreled and either threw things or fought. Butler Li was still frightened.
"Don't argue with him. He's an impulsive kid. I'll tell him off when I get back."
"No need." A hint of pity flashed in Fu Chengyun's smiling eyes.
He looked at the closed door of the master bedroom, his narrow eyes gleaming with an almost pious aura, a faint smile curling the corners of his mouth. Longing was written all over his face.
Turn around and take a step towards the stairs.
“He’s cute.”
The noise upstairs continued, and the rich aroma of food wafted from the kitchen. The evening breeze was a little chilly, so Butler Li stood up and closed the living room window.
Fu Chengyun walked up the stairs slowly.
The marble tiles under his feet were hard and cold. He began to imagine the stairs covered with off-white cashmere carpet, and Ning Che leaning against the stair handle in loose pajamas.
Her long hair cascaded down her back, and her tender, scallion-like fingers lifted a strand and played with it in front of her chest. She might even yawn, her delicate face drowsy from a moment's sleep.
When I saw him, I lazily said, "Are you back?"
And I walked up to him, kissed the top of his head lovingly, and held him tightly in my arms.
The bronze gilded angel at the corner spread its wings, the noise died down, and the voices of people were getting closer.
The door of the master bedroom was opened from the inside, and Ning Che, holding Jiaer's hand, bumped into Fu Chengyun.
The familiar body temperature penetrated the thin silk fabric and reached his chest. Fu Chengyun was absolutely certain at this moment that the person in front of him was the freedom he had longed for day and night while being trapped in the Fu residence for more than ten years.
The little angel statue that stood there for several years was named Cupid.
"Baby" Fu Chengyun didn't know why, but he really wanted to call him.
The alpha's distinctive deep voice filled his ears, and the faint scent of cedar enveloped his body once again. Ning Che suddenly felt a tingling sensation. He wanted to push his hand away, but he couldn't help but let it go, mumbling a low "hmm".
Jia'er only smelled the aroma of food. "What a nice smell!" He broke free from Ning Che's hand and ran downstairs.
The omega who was bewitched by the alpha also came to his senses.
Ning Che put his hand on Fu Chengyun's chest, took two steps back to create some distance between them, and looked at him with raised eyes.
Fu Chengyun held the little hand against his chest with both hands. "Baby, your hands are so cold. Are you cold?"
Ning Che quickly pulled his hand away and crossed his arms, his face full of scrutiny and confusion.
"Why are you so weird today?"
He took two steps forward and looked at Fu Chengyun's face carefully. "What happened?"
It was rare for the little fox to take the initiative to show concern, so Fu Chengyun went along with it.
He took a step forward and leaned closer to Ning Che again, his mouth drooping slightly as he tried to create a dejected expression. "The French project failed. I lost to Fu Chen."
To Ning Che, any defeat without bloodshed or casualties was considered a minor one. He didn't feel depressed at all, only that Fu Chengyun was being pretentious.
She scoffed and looked at him coldly. "So?"
Fu Chengyun lowered his eyes, pretending to be weak and helpless, but his eyes were dark and shining. "So please hug me more."
"roll!"
Ning Che is a master at killing the donkey after it has done its job.
During the susceptible period, he forced Fu Chengyun to sleep with him, but after the susceptible period was over, he was too lazy to even look at him.
He pushed Fu Chengyun away and went downstairs on his own.
With such strength, he pushed the alpha, who was half a head taller than him, onto the stair railing.
His back hurt from hitting the wooden handrail, but Fu Chengyun no longer had the rage he had the first time he was beaten. He stared at Ning Che's back as he hurried down the stairs, his eyes gleaming with a sharp light.
It turns out that the little fox doesn’t understand what love is!
But I already understand.
"Uncle! Come down and eat!" Jiaer sat at the dining table, holding a spoon and shaking it, calling him.
Fu Chengyun glanced downstairs and saw Jiaer sitting next to Ning Che's left, resting her head on his arm and swaying her body in a coquettish manner.
What an eyesore!
He walked into the guest room, quickly washed and changed his clothes, fearing that Ning Che's right side would be occupied by Butler Li.
He moved quickly, getting himself ready in just five minutes and even shaving himself.
When we arrived at the restaurant, Butler Li and Auntie were serving food to the table.
Fu Chengyun took the bowl from Butler Li and placed it in front of Ning Che.
Jiaer's small brows knitted together: "Uncle, you should give it to me or Grandpa Li first. This is how we respect the old and love the young!"
"But alphas should take care of their own omegas first." Fu Chengyun answered softly, always keeping an eye on Ning Che.
Ning Che was used to being served since he ascended to the position of hall master. He didn't care about these details at all and took the bowl to eat as if it was natural.
Jiaer, however, became interested. "Since Jiaer is also an alpha, which omega should she take care of?"
"You still need your handsome uncle to take care of you, wait until you grow up!"
"Oh!" Jiaer nodded as if she understood, then turned to tell Ning Che.
"My handsome uncle, when I grow up, it will be my turn to take care of you. I will also coax you to sleep at night and tell you stories."
Fu Chengyun almost choked on a mouthful of rice, "Did you two sleep together yesterday?"
Ning Che glanced over, his eyes saying, "Do you have any objections?"
Fu Chengyun got it right, "No opinion."
But I was crying silently in my heart.
When he slept with me, he either ordered me around or tried to kill me, even using some crooked methods to suppress me! He even managed to coax the kid into bed.
But he immediately comforted himself. The little fox had been lonely for more than ten years, and it was inevitable that he would sympathize with Jiaer when he saw her.
Besides, he and Jiaer are not related in any way, doesn't this just mean that his darling loves Jiaer so much that she loves everyone in her family as well?
Fu Chengyun looked deeply at Jia'er, who was chewing a chicken leg. He was thinking about how to squeeze the little cub out of the way so that he could sleep with the little fox in his arms.
