Chapter 7 Battle

Chapter 7 Battle

◎Past◎

The Demon Lord's lounge was very empty, with only sofas for people to sit and rest, and there was no sign of life at all.

Luo Wusheng thought of the team's lounge, which had a projector, sofas, tables and chairs, and even a virtual green plant in the corner...

The arena for individual battles appeared in the lounge, and incandescent lights appeared above the arena, not in the center, but to one side.

As a result, the arena became half bright and half dark.

Luo Wusheng: "What does this mean?"

"It couldn't be more obvious. The winner will shine brightly, while the loser will fall into eternal darkness." The Demon Lord stood on the dark arena. Her tone was calm, but her words were full of arrogance: "Cherish your brief time in the light. From now on, you will only be able to fall in the darkness and watch me win."

The unyielding fighting spirit dispelled the fog of loneliness and confusion, and Luo Wusheng stepped onto the ring and took the lead in attacking.

Mecha combat and personal close combat are different. Most people prefer the former because it is more visually stimulating, but the latter is the foundation for military academy students.

All people in the galaxy, whether they are from the capital planet or the garbage planet, are on the same starting line as long as they are admitted to the military academy. This is not an empty statement.

In an interstellar world where the average age of people is 200 years old, seventeen or eighteen years old is the right age to start learning combat.

Luo Wusheng had some basic skills, but when he really fought with the Demon Lord, he felt like a thin leaf drifting on the endless sea.

It was obvious that she didn't even need a single move; she only needed one blow to defeat him.

In other words, she could decide the outcome the moment he stepped onto the ring.

But she didn't.

Luo Wusheng dodged the Demon Lord's knife by leaning sideways. She was giving him a pass. This thought was everywhere in her mind. The strength and speed of each of her attacks spoke volumes about the situation.

She was giving him a chance to dodge, a chance to fight back.

If it were any other time, Luo Wusheng's fighting spirit would surely surge like an eternal flame, but the night was too dark tonight, and the darkness would infect the flickering flames.

Fighting spirit turns into decadence and becomes a messenger, recalling loneliness and confusion.

Luo Wusheng was still standing in the light, but he felt that the road ahead was pitch black.

After being hit hard on the left cheek, Luo Wusheng fell to the dark side of the ring.

"You lose." The Demon Lord's announcement was filled with coldness.

Luo Wusheng fell in the darkness, staring at the empty and dark ceiling with wide eyes, motionless and silent.

Shi Hanqiao was a little unhappy. Seeing that something was wrong with W, she cancelled the match and took the initiative to invite him to play, just to divert his attention. As a result, for some reason, he suddenly fell into deeper negative emotions.

She is not a compassionate person and has no interest in comforting those who are frustrated.

As the master left, the lights not far away disappeared, and darkness completely engulfed the young man on the ring.

He fell alone in the darkness, just like the situation he faced - dark, lonely and confused.

Shi Hanqiao exited the star realm and lay down on the bed. Before he fell into a deep sleep, the image of W lying in the darkness flashed through his mind for some reason, and the familiar feeling of loneliness and confusion came over him.

What does it have to do with her? She thought with disdain in her heart and fell asleep quickly.

Shi Hanqiao rarely dreams, and most of them are nightmares, and they all happened when she was very young.

All in all, she hadn't had a dream for over six hundred years.

In the dream, there was a cave full of corpses.

The ragged little girl stood behind the pile of monster corpses. She tightly grasped the dagger in her hand and silently walked around the corpses to approach the seriously injured cultivator lying on the ground.

She reached out and grabbed the storage bag on the cultivator's waist, but before she could be happy, a big hand grabbed her neck and lifted her up.

The little girl, who was in pain of suffocation, was well prepared. Her skinny body had burst out with amazing strength in countless similar situations. She stabbed the other person's heart hard based on her feeling.

An unexpected incident occurred, and an external force pulled the dagger out of her hand. The little girl's eyes went dark, and despair overwhelmed her soul.

She was unwilling to die like this, unwilling to become part of the pile of corpses to provide training for the corpse demon. Although she knew it was futile, the little girl struggled desperately.

"Let her go." A kind voice came from far away.

The little girl heard the voice of the person who was strangling her neck: "She is a half-human, half-demon hybrid. If we let her grow up, there will be endless troubles."

The fragile cervical vertebrae cracked, and death was getting closer and closer. The little girl stared at the face of the cultivator in front of her, her wide eyes full of unwillingness.

"That's good, that's good."

“Cough cough cough!!!”

The little girl fell on the pile of corpses, her breath filled with the smell of blood. She held her neck and straightened her cervical vertebrae with a click.

Thanks to the monster's physique, as long as she is not truly dead, she can recover quickly in a short period of time, at the cost of enduring inhuman pain.

The cultivator held the back of his hand and questioned the old man with gray hair and wrinkles on his face: "Master Luo Wei, what do you mean?!"

"She held a dagger, but she didn't stab you first before reaching for the storage bag." Luo Wei sighed, her eyes fixed on the little girl full of tenderness. "I'm old now, and I can't bear to see such a young child fall into darkness."

Women are just pretentious!

The cultivator only dared to complain in his heart, even though he was at his peak and could not beat the opponent, so he left after leaving a harsh word.

"Do you want to come with me?" A cultivator named Luo Wei stood at the entrance of the cave, with light behind her.

The little girl looked warily at the hand reaching out, which looked like the wrinkles of an orange peel. "What is your purpose? What experiment do you want to do?"

Half-human, half-demon creatures were "created" by cultivators, hybrids born from the interbreeding of humans and monsters. Many half-human, half-demon creatures died at birth, so at least the little girl had never seen one of their kind. Monsters insulted and bullied her, but that was still okay. Some cultivators captured her and wanted to use her rapid healing ability for experiments, which was truly dark and murky.

Luo Wei's eyes flashed with compassion: "You are still too young. It is always the responsibility of the elders to pull the young people who are about to go astray back to the right path."

The little girl was filled with distrust, and her eyes looked as if she was looking at an innocent fool.

The days in the demon world are short, and the light outside the cave gradually disappears. Luo Wei's hands remain suspended in the air, without any forceful movements or expressions.

The old man's eyes were too gentle, and the little girl felt annoyed: "Why?"

She didn't know what she wanted to ask.

Luo Wei didn't answer but asked: "Do you want to kill someone?"

Her questions were pointed.

The little girl was silent.

"Tell me what you really think." Luo Wei repeated the question.

The little girl looked up, her eyes burning: "I want to live."

If you want to survive in the demon world, you have to have your hands stained with blood, and children are no exception.

For the first time, she did not see the familiar disgust and contempt in other people's eyes, but instead saw gentle heartache, and the little girl was stunned.

"Why me?" There are quite a few children in the demon world, all of them are descendants of cultivators. Why would they choose her who is half human, half demon?

Your eyes were so determined that she almost ignored the fear and confusion behind the determination.

Luo Wei looked around at the bloody pile of corpses, stretched out his hand and took two steps forward, "We can change to a better environment and talk about other topics."

The little girl hesitated for a moment, then slowly placed her hand on the old man's palm.

Two figures, one big and one small, walked away in the moonlight, and the wind brought some gentle sounds.

"I've even forgotten my own name. My Taoist name is Luo Wei. What's yours?"

"Shi Hanqiao."

Shi Hanqiao opened her eyes and checked the time. Only two hours had passed since she lay down.

"Hateful Luo Wei, what a bullshit responsibility!" She muttered and got out of bed. Although she said it was hateful, she still lay down in the star cabin.

Entering the lounge, Shi Hanqiao turned on the lights using the control panel. W was still lying on the ring, having not moved since she left.

The light suddenly came on, and Luo Wusheng's eyes, which were used to the darkness, closed unconsciously. Tears overflowed from the corners of his eyes, and he slowly raised his arms to block the strong light.

Feeling the shadow covering him, he lowered his arms and opened his eyes. In his lifeless pupils was reflected the Demon Lord standing in the darkness across the boundary between light and shadow, extending his hand towards him.

"Let's chat!"

Her tone and expression were very casual and impatient, but Luo Wusheng noticed her bent waist and the hand that he could reach out and hold.

This is in line with the character of the Demon Lord.

Luo Wusheng placed his hand on her palm and said helplessly: "My body is frozen."

The word "trouble" was written all over the Demon Lord's face, but he leaned over and pulled him without saying a word.

Luo Wusheng used the strength of her arms to stand up suddenly and got very close to her. Her figure rushed into his field of vision and completely occupied it.

When Luo Wusheng came to his senses, he found that her hand was on his waist, and he immediately took a step back.

Even though the time was short and there was clothing between them, there seemed to be some warmth left on her waist.

【Author’s words】

I want to write more detailed emotions.

Qiao Qiao is a bit sharp-tongued and arrogant, but Sheng Sheng was the first to fall in love.

A little slow in the beginning, but more intense in the end (haha!)
