21. Chapter 21 The long-awaited day

At this moment, Su Xi walked in quickly from the door, her face filled with happiness.

She was wearing a light pink dress, standing tall and graceful, like a newly blooming lotus, tender and pretty.

However, the only flaw was that the gold and silver jewelry on her body was too numerous and complicated, as if she had worn all the beautiful jewelry in the jewelry box, making her look both gorgeous and tacky.

Today is the great day that Su Xi has been looking forward to for a long time.

Early in the morning, she sat excitedly in the hall, waiting for Su Luo but she didn't come. So she came to find her in person out of anxiety.

She was about to ridicule Su Luo when she saw Aunt Gui lying on the ground, her life or death unknown. She was shocked and turned around with glaring eyes and shouted at Su Luo, "Aunt Gui came to invite you out of kindness, what on earth did you do to her?"

Su Luo spread her hands innocently: "I didn't do anything." But it is true that I kicked her.

Su Xi didn't hear the trap in Su Luo's words, and she frowned unhappily.

"Then why did she fall like this for no reason?" Su Xi asked angrily.

In her eyes, her mother's right-hand man, Nanny Gui, is obviously much more important than her fourth sister Su Luo.

Su Luo had an innocent expression, as if asking someone else, and pouted. She thought for a moment, then hesitantly said, "Just now, Aunt Gui was walking and bumped into the wall, then fainted. It's really weird."

"How is this possible! Fourth sister, don't you even think before you lie?" Su Xi sneered and stared at Su Luo with a sinister look.

Su Luo expressed her helplessness: "Who knows? If you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do. But it's true that there's been some bad luck in the mansion lately. This morning, I heard from the servants outside that the lotus pond was haunted last night. I heard that the ghost had a green face and fangs, with a bloody mouth..."

The lotus pond is haunted... These five words clearly hit Su Xi's sore spot, because if it really is haunted, the ghost is her, Su Xi!

"Shut up!" Su Xi recalled yesterday's embarrassment, with a hint of anger on her face. She quickly changed the subject, "Alright, let Aunt Gui throw things if she wants. Come with me to the hall to see the prince."

Su Xi did consider the possibility that Su Luo had taken action, but there was no sign of action in the room. Moreover, Su Luo was a useless person, so how could she be a match for Nanny Gui, a second-level warrior? So she immediately ruled out the possibility of Su Luo.

Since you can't explain it clearly, just let it go and ignore it.

Su Xi pulled Su Luo away without saying a word, fearing that Su Luo would run away if she let go, and she, Su Xi, would be the one who suffered in the end.

Because of the matter of breaking off the engagement, Su Luo had to be present in person and hear the imperial edict read out with her own ears before she could make the decision.

Su Luo turned around and glanced at Aunt Gui coldly.

She worked like a slave for Su Xi on weekdays, but in the end, she was just casually abandoned? I wonder what Aunt Gui will feel when she wakes up and finds out that Su Xi treated her so lightly.

The main hall of the Su Mansion.

The main hall is very large, with a red plush carpet on the floor. There are two rows of eight seats, each made of precious yew wood, appearing elegant, luxurious and noble.

The reason why yew wood is so precious is that it only grows in the Dark Forest, where magical beasts are prevalent, and it is very expensive to transport it out.

Only a large family like the Su family would have the luxury of using it to make furniture.

Su Luo seldom comes to the hall.

Because she is not generally qualified to be here.
