Chapter 120 Marryme

Chapter 120 Marryme

When Li He returned to the group, Jiang Chengli went upstairs to report on his work.

After finishing his report, he hesitated and didn't leave.

Li He looked at him.

Jiang Chengli: "President Li, this is Secretary Bo's resignation letter."

Sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking, he saw President Li's face darken.

He continued hurriedly, "I've already told Secretary Bo that a resignation must be submitted 30 days in advance. Secretary Bo can only officially leave after 30 days."

Li He stared intently at the few lines of text on the paper, then suddenly crumpled it up and threw it into the trash can.

Jiang Chengli: ...

If it weren't for the fact that he personally handled things for Bo Wei, he wouldn't have been able to bring Bo Wei to President Li's side.

He even suspected that the two of them might have known each other for a long time.

Otherwise, how could President Li have become so infatuated with her in such a short time?

He went downstairs and tidied up his work.

Pick out all the tasks that Bo Wei can handle; when people are busy, they don't have time to think about other things.

Incidentally, these tasks basically all need to be confirmed with President Li personally.

well.

He went to great lengths.

At noon, Bo Wei had planned to go to the hospital during her break.

But Ji Mingxiu texted her saying she didn't need to go, he was being discharged from the hospital, he was fine, and he could go home to recuperate.

Assistant Jiang assigned her a new job, which was quite demanding.

She was alone in the office after get off work; the setting sun shone through the window onto the floor, creating an exceptionally peaceful atmosphere.

He leaned back in his chair and took a deep breath.

My mind finally calmed down.

I brought back a cup of coffee from the break room, intending to finish the last bit of work.

Just when things were about to wrap up, a piece of data stumped me. I frowned and searched on the computer for a long time, but still couldn't figure out where to start.

Bo Wei glanced out the window; the sunset outside had lost its last rosy glow.

The phone rang; it was Ji Mingxiu calling.

"Hello?" she answered.

On the other end of the phone, Ji Mingxiu said gently, "Aren't you done yet?"

"Just one last data point is needed. I'll look for some information; it should be done soon."

"Okay, I'll wait for you at home."

Bo Wei hung up the phone, put it down, covered her face with her hands, and slammed them on the table.

A cool, pine scent lingered around her nose, followed by a gentle warmth that slowly enveloped her.

Bo Wei suddenly lowered her hand and looked over.

Li He appeared behind her without her noticing, slowly leaning down and trapping her between him and the table and chairs with his long arms.

Bo Wei looked at him, while he looked at his computer.

The office was empty, and it was just getting dark; she hadn't turned on the lights yet.

The light from the computer screen illuminated his face, which was so close to his, making his features appear even more deep and handsome.

Bo Wei clenched her fingers and slowly turned to the computer.

"Here?" A pleasant voice reached Bo Wei's ears, tickling her slightly, and she moved her shoulders.

Looking at where he was pointing, she said, "Hmm."

Li He withdrew his right hand from the table, his slender fingers tapped nimbly on the keyboard a few times, then gripped the mouse and clicked save.

His position limited his movement; his chest was pressed against Bo Wei's back, and his arms brushed against hers as he moved.

After glancing at the saved data, Li He immediately clicked close.

Bo Wei: "Hey, we still need to tidy it up a bit."

"Do it tomorrow." He shut down the computer without further ado.

Bo Wei sat stiffly in her seat with her head down, waiting for Li He to step back.

After waiting for a while, he did not make any move.

Turning my head, I met his dark eyes.

Li He's gaze shifted downwards, landing on her rosy lips.

Without any hesitation, he leaned down and kissed her.

He wasn't in a hurry; his lips gently parted and pressed against mine, sending a tingling, itchy sensation through me like an electric current.

As the male lead in Huang Meng, Li He is very confident in his kissing skills.

He even looked forward to the day when he could show off his skills in front of her.

He opened his eyes and saw Bo Wei's dazed expression, and was satisfied as he prepared to deepen the kiss.

Bo Wei snapped out of her daze, opened her eyes wide, and quickly stopped him.

Slightly parted red lips, snow-white teeth, shallow breathing, and a wary look in her eyes.

This made Li He's eyes darken even more.

"Mr. Li, I'm going home." Bo Wei hurriedly packed her bag, turned off the desk lamp, grabbed her phone, and stood up to leave.

Li He kept his eyes on her, and when he saw that she had finished getting ready, he went straight to take her hand.

Bo Wei looked at his hand in confusion, "What are you doing?"

"I'll take you back." He led her towards the elevator.

Bo Wei felt exhausted. "President Li, I can just take a taxi home myself. Didn't we already talk yesterday? You said you wouldn't pressure me anymore."

"We talked, but it didn't achieve the result I wanted. I'm not pressuring you now."

“…President Li.” She took a few deep breaths.

"I don't want to drag this out any longer. Let's just leave it at that." Her voice was strained and nasal. "I'm so tired."

Li He stopped and saw her reddened eyes.

My heart softened suddenly, and I stepped forward to stand in front of her.

"Why are you crying?" He softened his voice. "Did something terrible happen, or is it the end of the world? It's just that two men like you at the same time. Other women are secretly happy, but you're so ungrateful."

Bo Wei looked up at him, her surprised eyes brimming with tears, which streamed down her face as she tilted her head back.

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say.

Li He looked at the lips that he had just kissed and which were still red with blood, and then lowered his head to kiss them again.

Bo Wei was caught off guard and kissed by him again. She was so angry that she pushed him away forcefully, "Li He!"

Li He was pushed away, pursed his lips, and his roguish demeanor, combined with his handsome face, was exceptionally alluring.

"I only promised not to pressure you, I never said I would give up on you."

Bo Wei: ...

...

The Maybach stopped at the entrance of the residential area.

Compared to yesterday's furious outburst, today he stopped much more politely.

Bo Wei got out of the car, and he was still looking in her direction.

"Thank you, Mr. Li." She closed the car door.

He rolled down the car window and said to her, "I'll handle this. Just wait."

Bo Wei was puzzled; the Maybach had already left.

Li He is a strange person; he can be good one moment and bad the next. What exactly does he mean?

With a strange feeling, I went upstairs and arrived at my front door.

The sight of her neighbor's shoes scattered all over the hallway, along with two days' worth of uncollected trash, annoyed her.

The door opened, and the room was completely dark. Was Ji Mingxiu not there? Or was he asleep?

He found the switch with practiced ease.

'Snap,' the light came on.

Her gaze swept across the room, and her expression froze instantly. It felt as if a chill had swept through her heart, leaving her feeling cold all over.

Ji Mingxiu walked towards her, his gentle expression tinged with nervousness.

Looking at her, her expression was as calm and indifferent as ever, revealing no emotion.

He clenched his fist; his palms were sweaty.

He walked up to Bo Wei, smiled at her, and took her hand. "Come in."

Bo Wei was led into the house by him, the door was closed by him, and he led her towards the living room.

Petals were laid from the doorway into the living room, which was decorated with pink balloons and ribbons, creating a romantic and cozy atmosphere.

In the center was a large bouquet of roses, filling the room with their fragrance.

On the wall, the word 'marryme' spelled out by balloons signifies the theme of the evening.
