Chapter 150 They broke up, they got married.
As night falls, the city's vibrant lights illuminate the night sky.
The brightly lit advertising signs flashed, illuminating the vivid faces of people leaving get off work and luring them inside to spend money.
Bo Wei and her companion left the barbecue restaurant after making a purchase.
From inside, she saw a familiar, tall figure under the big tree outside the door.
He had his back to us, his posture relaxed, one hand in his pocket, a cigarette between his fingers, and his head slightly lowered.
The man's handsome face and superior physique attracted many people's attention. Groups of girls were eager to make their move, but they hesitated because of his powerful aura.
Li He raised his hand and took a drag of his cigarette.
As she turned around, her gaze met Bo Wei's.
He looked away, exhaled smoke, stubbed out the cigarette, and threw it into the trash can.
He strode towards her, took her hand, and left.
Bo Wei was led away by him, and turned to look at Ji Mingxiu.
He simply stood there, watching calmly, and smiled at her.
A silent farewell.
Bo Wei withdrew her gaze and looked up at the person beside her, "Why are you here?"
"I'm picking you up." He led her to the side of the road, opened the car door, and put her in the passenger seat.
Bo Wei put down her bag and fastened her seatbelt.
When he came up, he asked again, "How did you know we were here?"
"I asked Ji Mingxiu," he said casually.
Bo Wei: ...
His moves are always unpredictable.
She frowned slightly when she smelled the faint scent of cigarettes on him. "Smoke less; it's bad for your health."
Li He glanced at her, then looked away, started the car, and drove off. He nodded, "Okay."
Instead of going home, she went to the mall and ended up buying more than a dozen sets of pajamas, dozens of pairs of stockings, and several sets of skincare and cosmetic products.
The next day, Sunday, was a day off from work.
Bo Wei woke up around nine o'clock.
Li He wasn't there.
Unless she wakes up with him, he'll make a fuss about it.
Otherwise, he would feel uncomfortable if he lay down for even a minute longer.
I got up, washed up, put on makeup, and changed clothes.
Going downstairs, I saw Li He sitting on the sofa.
Li He answered the phone with one hand and scrolled through the tablet on his lap with the other.
He caught a glimpse of her out of the corner of his eye, looked up at her, and beckoned her with his finger.
Bo Wei went downstairs, walked to his side, and heard Xie Wanning's voice on the other end of the phone.
Li He asked her, "These are some wedding venues Mom sent me. Do you want to take a look?"
Across from him, Xie Wanning heard him say, "Weiwei's up?"
Bo Wei heard it easily.
Li He pressed the speakerphone button directly.
"Good morning, Mom," she greeted him a little shyly.
"Hey, Weiwei, Mom has compiled a list of popular wedding venues recommended by people in our circle. Take a look and see if there are any you like. Just take it as a reference. If you have your own ideas, feel free to tell me. Your ideas will be the most important."
Bo Wei felt embarrassed. Li He's mother was too kind; she wasn't used to it yet. "Okay, thank you, Mom. You've worked so hard. Can Li He and I discuss it and tell you?"
"Okay, make a decision as soon as possible. This is the first step. Once the location is determined, it will be easier to carry out the subsequent work."
"Okay, sure."
After hanging up the phone, Li He pulled her onto his lap and looked her up and down. "Are you getting ready to go out?"
Bo Wei nodded, "Yes, I'm going shopping with a friend."
Li He looked at her without saying a word.
Bo Wei quietly looked back at him.
The two looked at each other silently.
After a long pause, Li He leaned back listlessly and asked, "When are you coming back?"
Bo Wei thought for a moment, "It'll probably be quite late, so we'll have to wait until after dinner."
Li He: ...
"Since we've been together, haven't we treated your friends to a meal yet? Let me treat you today."
Bo Wei: "...Don't you have anything to do? Why are you following me?"
Li He: "Don't I get to rest on the weekend?"
Bo Wei smiled and said, "Then you should rest at home. It's not appropriate for you to come along when we go shopping."
Li He: "I'm paying too, what's wrong with that? Ask your friend if it's appropriate."
Bo Wei: ...
"I don't want you to go. She'll feel uncomfortable if you go." Her expression was a mix of coquettishness and complaint.
Li He compromised, "Okay, I'll pick you up when it's over. Let's go have breakfast first."
Bo Wei nodded and got up to have breakfast.
As she left, she could even feel a pair of resentful eyes staring at her from behind.
When Bo Wei went out, she didn't go to see her friends right away. Instead, she went into a very famous hair salon.
It was already afternoon when I left the barbershop.
Lu Xiyun took a taxi and had just gotten out of the car when she saw a glamorous woman with big, chestnut-brown waves walking out of the hair salon.
The afternoon autumn sun shone on her, making her chestnut-brown hair and snow-white skin glow, as beautiful as a myth.
She exaggeratedly covered her mouth, "Holy crap, Bo Wei, what are you trying to do?"
Bo Wei approached, "What's wrong? Doesn't it look good?"
Lu Xiyun nodded frantically, "It's absolutely gorgeous! It's a complete transformation, but it's incredibly, incredibly beautiful!"
Bo Wei noticed the stares of passersby and quickly pulled her away.
"Come on, your birthday is in a few days. Pick out your own gift today."
Lu Xiyun kept looking her over and chuckled, "Then I won't be polite today."
When we're poor, we're poor together.
Now that she has money, her best friend can spend it without hesitation.
Bo Wei: "You're welcome."
She was willing to give up on Lu Xiyun.
I spent two hours shopping at the IFC Mall and bought Lu Xiyun her first luxury handbag.
Lu Xiyun was so happy that her face was beaming. "Sure enough, my best friend has become a rich woman, and my good days have begun."
Bo Wei sensed her happiness and felt happy too, "I'll buy you more in the future."
Lu Xiyun: "Okay!"
The two looked at each other. Bo Wei smiled sweetly, while Lu Xiyun laughed heartily.
We had steak for dinner. We were supposed to have hot pot for the gathering, but she had just gotten her hair done.
Lu Xiyun carefully put the bag away and happily rested her chin on her hand.
"Xiyun, I have something to tell you." Bo Wei suddenly stopped and looked at her.
Lu Xiyun nodded. "Mm."
"I broke up with my boyfriend."
Lu Xiyun still had a mysterious smile on her lips, and her voice was somewhat cute, "Break up? What do you mean?"
Bo Wei: ...
Lu Xiyun's mind was filled with images of her carrying that bag in various situations. She absorbed Bo Wei's words but didn't understand them.
It took her a moment to slowly realize what was happening, and her eyes immediately widened. "You said you broke up? With Ji Mingxiu?"
Bo Wei nodded.
Lu Xiyun took a while to process this, then said regretfully, "Actually, I had a feeling that you two would break up one day, but I didn't expect it to be so soon. Don't misunderstand, I didn't mean to curse you, it's just a vague feeling."
"Why?" Bo Wei asked, a little puzzled. Didn't everyone say they were a perfect match?
