Chapter 44 Tie and Stockings
Bo Wei went upstairs.
Li He was casually leaning against the corner of the table, making a phone call.
Bo Wei stood not far away, waiting. She didn't know what the itinerary was for today, or what documents she needed to bring, since it was a last-minute arrangement by President Li. She planned to ask him after he finished his call so she could be prepared.
However, Li He didn't give her that chance. He looked at her, gestured to the table, and then went outside while making a phone call.
Bo Wei looked in the direction that President Li indicated, and saw a tie lying on his desk.
She watched President Li's retreating figure for a moment, then grabbed her tie and followed behind him.
Inside the elevator, Li He's gaze inadvertently fell on the tie in Bo Wei's hand.
He hung up the phone.
It was quiet; the elevator was completely silent.
Although this was not the first time Bo Wei had ridden in an elevator alone with President Li, and in fact, her perception of President Li had changed significantly during this time.
But when there were only two of them in a narrow space, she still felt that President Li's domineering aura occupied the entire space, making her feel a little uncomfortable.
She kept her eyes fixed ahead, not glancing around, because it would be awkward if they accidentally made eye contact.
"Mr. Li, what's the schedule for today? What do you need me to do?" Under the influence of Mr. Li's domineering aura, she almost forgot to ask this important question.
"Act according to circumstances, a life assistant."
Bo Wei understood that she might not be needed much, but she might be; it all depended on her judgment. She nodded.
Upstairs in the building, in the elevated passageway between the main building and the annex, Ji Mingxiu's gaze was drawn to a scene in front of the building's main gate.
A man and a woman with excellent figures and outstanding demeanor walked out of the group.
The woman's graceful figure was very familiar; it was Bo Wei.
At this moment, she stood dignifiedly and respectfully half a step behind a man.
From his angle, only his profile was visible. Despite being just a profile, the man was cold and handsome. As he walked, his domineering and confident demeanor exuded the superior aura of someone who had long held a high position.
The two walked to a black sedan, got in, and drove away quickly.
Mr. Li?
So he was Li He, the CEO of the Li Group!
He watched the departing car in silence, a faint sense of crisis rising in his heart.
Bo Wei had always given him a very strong sense of etherealness, a feeling that made him uneasy.
But just now, when she was beside that man, that ethereal feeling vanished completely.
"What are you looking at?" Lin Yiran stopped and called out to him.
"Hurry up, we're going to be late for the meeting. What are you looking around for?" Zhao Xiaoyu stopped and waved at him sharply.
Ji Mingxiu regained his composure, concealing the complex emotions in his eyes, and looked at Lin Yiran and Zhao Xiaoyu, who were waiting for him ahead.
He strode forward and said, "Let's go."
...
Inside the car.
Li He finally hung up the phone and looked to the side. The dark patterned tie was draped over her leg, creating a subtle contrast with the black stockings, which aroused endless imagination.
Bo Wei had been looking out the window. When she heard President Li's voice stop, she turned her head.
Seeing that his gaze was fixed on her legs, she instinctively closed them and quickly straightened up.
Her movements were a little too exaggerated, and a hint of embarrassment appeared on her face, because the action was a bit too defensive, while President Li was only looking at his tie.
Bo Wei quickly handed him the tie, "Mr. Li, this is a tie."
Li He calmly reached out and took the tie, leaning forward slightly to place it around his neck.
Then, tilting his head back, the man's long, sexy neck and large Adam's apple were very eye-catching as he slowly and deliberately tied his tie.
Even though Bo Wei didn't look at it intentionally, this scenery was all she could see out of the corner of her eye.
She snapped out of her reverie and continued looking out the window.
After driving for nearly an hour, we finally arrived at our destination, a resort.
A group of people had been waiting respectfully for a long time, and when they saw the car arrive, they stepped forward with smiles and eagerness.
A man who appeared to be a leader stepped forward and said respectfully, "President Li, President Huo and President Lu arrived ten minutes ago."
Li He nodded. "No need to come along. Just bring some fruit platters and snacks."
The man glanced at Bo Wei and immediately nodded, "Yes, arrange it right away."
At this point, the group stopped, and even Li He's bodyguards did not follow.
Bo Wei followed quietly behind President Li. Seeing that he was extremely familiar with this place, she knew he must come here often, or he must be the owner of this place.
The two arrived at a spacious, semi-open area.
Outside this area is a fenced-off area.
At this moment, two people were already seated at the tables and chairs in the lounge area.
"You're always the slowest, like an emperor ascending the throne, waiting for everyone to arrive before you come, to make yourself seem the most noble, right?"
Bo Wei looked over and saw that it was President Huo, and opposite him was President Lu.
Looking around, they couldn't see either of their assistants.
āIām always punctual.ā Li He stepped forward, turned on his phone, and placed it on the table in front of the two of them.
Huo Ran stopped looking at him and instead smiled at Bo Wei.
Bo Wei greeted him when he looked at her, "Hello, President Huo, hello, President Lu."
"It's great to see you again, Secretary Bo!" Huo Ran said warmly, getting up to pull out a chair for her.
Li He pulled out a chair next to him first and said to her, "Sit down."
Bo Wei felt bitter inside. Why was she the only secretary?
On the surface, however, he thanked Huo Ran and Li He in a generous and calm manner, "Thank you, President Huo, thank you, President Li."
Huo Ran scoffed at Li He softly and sat down again.
He looked at Bo Wei with interest and asked, "Secretary Bo, can you ride a horse?"
Bo Wei glanced at the venue outside, smiled and shook her head at him, "I haven't learned it."
"That's perfect, we have plenty of time today, how about I teach you later?"
Bo Wei was taken aback and subconsciously glanced at Li He, who was drinking tea with his head down and did not say anything.
"Why are you looking at him? He's not your dad, nor your homeroom teacher. I'm just leading you in exercise, not corrupting you."
Bo Wei looked embarrassed. "Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Huo, but it's not necessary. I'm not very good at this kind of sport."
Huo Ran leaned back, her voice strong and clear, showing that she was in excellent physical and mental health. "What are you afraid of? Women who can ride horses are so cool. When it comes to riding skills, Li He can't even keep up with me. You can learn from me and I'll teach you."
Upon hearing this, Li He glanced at him.
Huo Ran retorted, "What are you looking at! Am I wrong?"
He turned to Lu Xianzong to get his testimony.
Lu Xianzong sipped his tea elegantly and simply said, "Agreed."
It's not that he can't catch up, it's just that neither of them loves horseback riding as much as he does.
Huo Ran smiled at her and said smugly, "See? Even Brother Agrees."
Bo Wei: ...
Horse riding inevitably involves physical contact, which is definitely inconvenient.
Just then, a series of "clattering" sounds came from afar.
Bo Wei looked over and saw several people leading horses over.
From a distance, the horse appeared tall, powerful, and very robust.
