Chapter 73 Bo Wei, We're Together

Chapter 73 Bo Wei, We're Together

Jiang Chengli came out of his office, took the documents and went upstairs. He saw everyone gathered together chatting and assumed they were reminiscing about yesterday's happy times.

Without interrupting them, I went upstairs.

Upon seeing Assistant Jiang, everyone stopped and returned to their workstations.

Bo Wei also went to the tea room, and Zhou Yang picked up his cup and followed.

"Weiwei, I'm so sorry about what happened last night. I never expected something like that to happen."

Bo Wei smiled and said, "Why are you apologizing to me? I should be thanking you for helping me so much yesterday."

"After all, I was the one who asked you to go."

“That’s a different matter, but it’s not the reason I’m being bullied.”

Zhou Yang smiled, feeling somewhat relieved.

Bo Wei walked into the office with a cup of coffee and saw two tall, slender figures in suits standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, talking.

Bo Wei glanced at him and thought to herself that it was fortunate that Assistant Jiang was still there. She quickened her pace toward the desk.

After their conversation by the window ended, the two turned to look at her simultaneously. Jiang Chengli nodded to Li He, "President Li, I'll be going now."

Li He ignored him, turning his gaze back to the window with a relaxed demeanor.

Bo Wei carefully placed the coffee on the table, turned around, and saw that Assistant Jiang had already walked to the door.

She glanced at President Li by the window out of the corner of her eye, then quickened her pace to catch up with Assistant President Jiang at the door.

"come over."

Li He continued to look out the window, his tone indifferent, yet carrying the unquestionable air of a superior.

Bo Wei's breath hitched, and she stopped abruptly.

She paused for two seconds before slowly walking towards him.

He stopped three steps away from him. "Mr. Li, what can I do for you?"

Li He turned his gaze from the window and placed it directly on the silk scarf around her neck.

He stepped forward and naturally began to untie her silk scarf.

Bo Wei's eyes widened in shock. She covered her face with her handkerchief and hurriedly backed away.

Li He's hand stopped in front of her, he frowned as he looked at her, and stepped forward again.

He took a step forward, and Bo Wei took a step back.

Li He frowned again, glanced at her, grabbed her arms with both hands, turned her around effortlessly, and blocked her by the French window.

All of this happened in the blink of an eye; Bo Wei hadn't even had time to react before this situation arose.

Li He was tall and broad-shouldered, blocking her path like a mountain. His imposing presence made it hard for her to breathe.

Bo Wei's heart pounded wildly, her rhythm erratic. She turned her head away, unable to face him directly, and even her questioning voice trembled slightly, "Mr. Li, what do you want to do?"

Li He looked down at her and said calmly, "Let me see how your injury is. Why do you always like to struggle and run around? Just stay quiet."

"Mr. Li, this is very inappropriate, my injury..."

"What kind is appropriate?" He looked down at her domineeringly. "Untie it yourself?"

Bo Wei turned her head to one side: ...

Seeing that she remained silent, Li He raised his hand, casually hooked his fingers on her silk scarf twice, and then gently pulled it open, revealing the scarf in his hand.

There was some swelling, bruises, and purple marks around her neck.

His fingers gently touched the swollen mark on her skin, and he asked softly, "Does it hurt today?"

The slight touch on her skin caused an itch that made Bo Wei instinctively reach out and grab his fingers.

Suddenly, their eyes met, and Bo Wei seemed to be burned, abruptly letting go.

"Now that you've seen it and I appreciate your concern, can you let me down?"

Li He didn't move an inch, looking at her and asking, "Did you take the medicine I bought yesterday?"

"have eaten."

How does today compare to last night?

"Fortunately, it's not as serious as I thought. I guess it will be fine after taking the medicine a few more times."

"Yes, this injury will take at least a week to heal. Take it easy, don't eat anything you shouldn't, and drink plenty of water."

Bo Wei nodded hurriedly; his aura was so strong that it made it hard for her to breathe.

Seeing that he had nothing to say, Bo Wei tried to move to the side to escape his grasp.

"Don't move."

He raised his hand, put it around her neck, put the scarf back, and patiently tied it for her.

His clean hair was less than ten centimeters from her face, and he looked down intently, as if he were doing something very important.

After a while, he fastened the belt, slowly lifted his eyelids, and silently examined the object.

Bo Wei felt uncomfortable being scrutinized, her eyelashes blinking incessantly. "President Li, I'll go back to work now."

Li He didn't speak, but sighed inwardly. He had finally managed to lower her guard and successfully desensitize her, but now it seemed like she had reverted to her original state.

Sensitive, reject.

Do you hate him?

No!

Li He has always been insightful about people's hearts. He would never react like this if he truly disliked someone, even though he was her boss.

At least physically, she didn't dislike him.

That's a psychological issue; it might not be so much about dislike as it is about... avoidance.

Was it because it was too fast? Or was it because she lacked clear instructions and therefore lacked courage?

He leaned forward slightly, one hand resting on the glass window, the other brushing aside the stray hairs by her ear. His eyes were deep yet held a hidden light as he looked at her. "Bo Wei, let's be together."

It felt as if a giant bell had been forcefully struck Bo Wei's mind, "Boom!"

The echoing bells made Bo Wei feel dizzy.

She was utterly shocked! Incredulous!

I was stunned for a long time.

"Hmm?" His voice was hoarse, and beneath his calm exterior, his blood was boiling and every cell in his body was excited.

As if she were already his, he carefully scanned her lips, cheeks, ears, and the area around her neck.

It seemed that if she nodded, the kisses would fall like rain.
