Chapter 70: The Blood Kiss Cleans Up the Blood.

Chapter 70: The Blood Kiss Cleans Up the Blood.

"Will you like me more if you feel sorry for me?" Shen Jiuxu licked the corner of his mouth, then took his hand and touched his face.

"Won't."

Jiang Yu said seriously, without any expression, "I'll only like you more if I'm happy with you, otherwise I'll only hate you."

"Do you really hate me?" Shen Jiuxu pursed his lips and whispered, "But I don't hate you."

“If we’re going to stick to the facts, you can hate me too.” Jiang Yu thought for a moment, not fooled by his sweet talk, and said solemnly, “So, don’t get hurt, especially when I can’t see you.”

Shen Jiuxu didn't speak, but bent down to kiss him. Jiang Yu didn't mind, but secretly made a note of it. The room became very quiet, and a few breezes blew in from the window through a small crack.

“I really like your eyes, they’re beautiful and pure, especially when you look at me in bed,” Jiang Yu said, emphasizing each word. He said it deliberately because he was afraid that Shen Jiuxu might do something that would endanger his own life in order to save him.

He always said he was stubborn, but Shen Jiuxu was not to be underestimated. Two people who could walk together naturally had some similarities.

Jiang Yu could often tell what Shen Jiuxu was thinking at first glance. If Shen Jiuxu's eyes were injured and he couldn't see, he would definitely do the same.

People are always like this: they want to do something, but they don't want others to do it.

I like your eyes too.

Shen Jiuxu gave a wry smile, knowing what he meant, but his thoughts differed from Jiang Yu's. However, as long as Jiang Yu remained oblivious, everything would be fine. The truth came to light after Jiang Yu's eyes recovered, and he was prepared to bear the consequences.

The two people leaned against each other, like duckweed clinging tightly to each other on the water's surface. Rain kept hitting the center, but it couldn't shake them in the slightest.

"Squeak—"

Lian Quesheng's face suddenly appeared through the crack in the window. "You're awake. It seems my arrival was indeed timely."

"What's up?"

Shen Jiuxu quickly pulled Jiang Yu over, wrapped him in the blanket, turned around, and flicked his finger, slamming the window shut. Lian Quesheng's nose bumped right into it.

"I didn't see anything."

Lian Quesheng said aggrievedly, "My parents rushed over as soon as they heard that Jiang Yu was injured. They said they brought something for Jiang Yu and asked me to come and call you."

"Please thank Sect Leader Lian and Uncle Lu on my behalf."

Shen Jiuxu helped Jiang Yu put on his clothes and examined his complexion. In the past few days, the various precious medicinal herbs that Lian Quesheng brought and the large amount of chicken, duck and fish that Zhou Yongyin raised himself had improved his complexion a lot, but it was still a little pale.

Seeing that he hadn't made a move, Jiang Yu couldn't guess what he wanted to do. She looked up and was about to speak when Shen Jiuxu kissed her again.

"Add some rouge."

So Jiang Yu went out with his red lips. As soon as Lian Chisu saw him, she felt uncomfortable. Although she had just beaten Lian Quesheng to vent her anger, she still couldn't calm herself down completely.

The thought of losing those eyes that were so similar to Ye Jianqing's made her feel that she wouldn't be able to face Ye Jianqing when she died.

She failed to take good care of the only treasure Ye Jianqing left behind, which was a child with whom she shared blood ties.

"Jiang Yu, it's me. Can you recognize my voice?"

Lian Chisu looked distressed, and her voice lowered considerably. Hearing the completely different tone from before, Lian Quesheng wondered if he was not her biological daughter, or if his mother had been possessed by someone else.

"Sect Leader Lian, Bailuzhou is a thousand miles away from here. Thank you for coming to see me in person. I'm sure you've caused me a lot of trouble," Jiang Yu said with a smile. But as soon as he finished speaking, Lian Chisu became unhappy.

"What are you saying? Even if there are other things, I have already handed them over to them to handle. You don't need to worry, just focus on recovering."

"Thank you for your trouble, Sect Leader."

“Quesheng’s letter to me didn’t say anything. I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t come here in person. I just beat him up. Such a serious thing happened. You young people don’t see many situations and have little experience. Uncle Zhou is getting old. We should have called an elder who can take charge to help.”

Despite her dissatisfaction, Lian Chisu said righteously, "Next time, if anything happens, be sure to tell me and your Uncle Lu, and we will definitely come."

"Mother, you weren't like this when I was injured!"

"You brat, you're telling your mother about such a small thing as a cut on your finger? If I had come any later, it would probably have healed by now." Lian Chisu smacked him on the head. "All you ever do is argue and complain. If Jiang Yu were half as clueless as you, he would have called all the relatives over by now."

Jiang Yu smiled without saying a word, while Lian Quesheng remained silent. Only after Lian Chisu's anger subsided did he dare to speak, "By the way, Mother, didn't you say you had a gift for Jiang Yu?"

"I had completely forgotten about it until you mentioned it!"

Lian Chisu hurriedly took out a long box from her collection bag. "This is a portrait of your mother. I was thinking of bringing it over to show you—"

She suddenly realized that Jiang Yu was now blind, so what use would the portrait be if it were opened? Lian Chisu glared at Lian Quesheng fiercely, feeling even angrier. It was like he was deliberately bringing up a sore spot.

"My mother's portrait?"

A hint of surprise flashed across Jiang Yu's face. "I thought I would never see her in this lifetime. Thank you, Sect Leader Lian. I will only be able to see her again once my eyes have recovered."

“It’s alright, the portrait has always been here anyway. Did the doctor say when it will be healed?” Lian Chisu regretted it deeply. She picked up the tea on the table and drank it all in one gulp. Then she tossed the cup to Lian Quesheng, indicating that he should pour her another cup.

"I don't know, it will probably take some more time." Jiang Yu's hand touched the long and narrow box, his longing for it deepening. "But this is also good. Without outside interference, it's a good opportunity to cultivate one's character."

"You're really optimistic. As long as you've figured it out, you'll definitely get better someday," Lian Chisu comforted him. When Jiang Yu walked out the door, she could tell that his spiritual energy was chaotic and weak, and she estimated that it would take a lot of effort for him to recover this time.

"Yes, thank you for your concern, Sect Leader Lian."

"Jiu Xu must be tired these days. He's been busy for a long time and he's worked hard. When I came, I sent a message to the leaders of the other major sects, saying that they will send disciples to look after this place year-round. So you can put your minds at ease and focus on recovering from your injuries."

Lian Chisu sighed. The situation here was indeed thorny. She had just heard Lian Quesheng say that the only way at present was to wait for Jiang Yu to ascend to immortality, but his current condition was not good, so it was probably a long way off.

The Xianchen Sword recognized its master. Otherwise, they could have placed their hopes on other disciples, which would have given them more options and eased the burden on Jiang Yu's shoulders.

She glanced at Lian Quesheng, who was still smiling happily, and suddenly felt that it was good that the child was innocent; at least he wouldn't have to live such a tiring life.

People are always selfish, even in the closest relationships, and letters are no exception.

"Thank you, sect leaders."

Jiang Yu appeared quite calm. He wasn't unaware of what Lian Chisu meant, but since the people there had been settled, he didn't need to worry too much for the time being.

"Don't be impatient about ascension. If you go astray and become possessed by evil spirits, it will be a bad thing."

Large, dark clouds drifted in from the horizon, and soon it got dark outside. Zhou Yongyin saw that it was about to rain, so he called them to hurry back inside.

The ground was quickly soaked, the leaves were stuck to the rain, the thick roots were full of water, the broken branch soon sprouted green buds, and the withered flower buds became plump and glossy after the rain.

Shen Jiuxu sensed something inside the house, and his heart stirred. Jiang Yu leaned against him, and all that could be heard was the sound of rain dripping from the eaves outside and Shen Jiuxu's steady, strong heartbeat.

He was pushed down onto the bed, and Shen Jiuxu's warm breath fell on Jiang Yu's neck. Soon, kisses followed one after another. Jiang Yu's arms wrapped around Shen Jiuxu, and the two were inseparable, enjoying each other's bodies in this tranquil environment.

Shen Jiuxu's kiss was hot, his chest was hot, his legs were hot, and even other parts of his body were hot.

But Jiang Yu is different.

He already had a chronic illness due to his failed ascension three years ago, and he was always feeling cold. Now, the spiritual energy he had overdrawn had made him feel weak all over.

Shen Jiuxu would always add an extra layer of clothing for him, and when he slept, he would let him lean against his chest, warming him with his burning skin, so that he could have a soft and warm Jiang Yu the next morning.

The icy Jiang Yu was entangled by the scalding Shen Jiuxu. He was like the surface of water that had melted in spring, being moistened by that ray of sunlight that belonged only to him, and his whole body was covered in sweat.

"Are you still cold?" Shen Jiuxu asked him, burying his head in his hands, and then slowly licked away the sweat dripping down his chest.

Jiang Yu shook his head. The peculiar feeling of being surrounded by complete darkness made him feel as if he had fallen into a bottomless cave, where a lush tree with many ravines grew. Its long vines wrapped around his body, making it impossible for him to break free.

"With you here, it's not cold."

Jiang Yu leaned her head closer, looking like a well-behaved cat that had folded its claws. It was all white except for some bright red marks, which made it even more irresistible and made people feel like it was seducing them.

Shen Jiuxu laughed, and as he listened to the increasingly loud rain outside, he quickened his pace.

He stroked Jiang Yu's wrist while leaning down to kiss him again. Shen Jiuxu deliberately kissed him harder, making Jiang Yu feel uncomfortable all over from his caresses. Jiang Yu bit his lip, and the taste of blood spread between them.

"hiss--"

"Lick the blood clean." Shen Jiuxu slowly tapped the corner of the bed with his fingers, while his other hand intertwined with Jiang Yu's fingers, and he said in a low voice.

Jiang Yu stuck out his tongue and slowly sucked the blood from there. Blood also got on his face, so he licked it again.

After a while, Jiang Yu figured the blood had stopped, but unexpectedly, Shen Jiuxu bit him hard again and kissed him again.

The mingling of blood made Jiang Yu dizzy, but his body gradually warmed up and his complexion improved. Shen Jiuxu looked down at him, a smile playing on his lips. At that moment, a flower bud sprouted from his head, emitting a rich fragrance.

Author's Note: For some reason, this reminded me of the Ice and Fire duo [sunglasses]

Congratulations to Shen Jiuxu on receiving a new nickname—Kissing Monster

The paper formatting isn't finished yet, but I had to work the night shift at the hospital and couldn't continue revising. I just wrote a little bit during my meal break, and I've just finished it. I'll make up for the two chapters I owe everyone later. [crying][crying][crying]
