Chapter 4
The gloomy atmosphere that had been shrouding the park has dissipated, and the wind blowing from Nanjiang City at night is filled with warm currents.
Li Yang's physique has been like a furnace since he was a child. In fact, he is quite afraid of heat, but he doesn't sweat easily and at most he feels dry all over.
Coming out of the park, Li Yang met a man whom he had just met and was not familiar with, but who would pay him a salary and pay for his five insurances and one fund in the future.
Wandering around in casual clothes.
Li Yang didn't really want to say hello and planned to slip away, but when their eyes met, the man came up to him and asked, "Have you eaten?"
Li Yang didn't answer, "Why are you here?"
But Zhou Du didn't seem to be curious about why he was here. "Take a walk after dinner."
"Do you live here?" he asked.
Zhou Du shook his head, looking calm: "My home is in Xijiang New District."
"..." Li Yang said "oh".
It’s quite a long walk from the west to the old district of Jiangcheng in the east.
"Is everything packed?"
He nodded and said, "I'm out to buy bed sheets and daily necessities." Then he was about to go into an old shop on the roadside.
Zhou Du held him and said, "No need to buy anything. There are plenty in the kindergarten. Just go back."
This time Zhou Du didn't let him drive, and Li Yang sat in the passenger seat.
Li Yang left his luggage at the guesthouse before leaving, and Zhou Du drove over first. He went upstairs to pick up his luggage and check out, and then returned to the car. A bag of bread and milk was stuffed into his arms. They were just bought and heated in the microwave, and they were still warm.
"Fill your stomach first, and then eat something else when you return to kindergarten." After Zhou Du fed the food, he circled the steering wheel with his right hand and turned the car around.
Li Yang glanced at the man driving the car. The street lights passing by outside the car window flickered across his profile. Li Yang thanked him and took a bite of the soft, milky bread that was bigger than his face.
Zhou Du's driving skills were also fast and steady, but his control was much better than Li Yang's. At nine o'clock in the evening, the number of vehicles on the second half of the suburban highway decreased significantly, and the traffic was smooth and stable.
Li Yang stood aside quietly watching the road being repeatedly pressed by the wheels, his eyelids feeling heavy and twitching.
But he didn't sleep and stayed up until the car drove into the kindergarten.
Back in the small villa, Zhou Du went into the open kitchen, washed his hands, opened the refrigerator and inspected it. "Is noodles ok?"
"I'll do it myself." Li Yang stepped forward to take action.
Zhou Du had already taken out the ingredients, put water in the pot and turned on the fire, then turned around and said, "The water won't boil that quickly, let's go upstairs to the room and pack our luggage first."
On the third floor, Zhou Du went back to his room to get him some daily necessities. Li Yang entered the opposite room, and the first thing he did was to put down his luggage and rush into the bathroom to wash his face with cold water to wake himself up.
It wasn't as if he wasn't completely asleep in the car, but from time to time he would be dragged into a dream as soon as he closed his eyes.
That was a dream he had occasionally had since he was a child. In the dream, there was an ancient man whose face could not be seen clearly, wearing a crescent-shaped white robe, a green crown and jade-like hair, and standing tall and straight.
When he first dreamt about her at the age of three, he felt a strong sense of familiarity, as if they knew each other. He also had a natural affinity for men, and whenever he dreamt about her, he would pull off her long, elaborate robes and report to her what he had done recently.
Li Yang has never shown this side of himself in real life, and it is impossible for him to behave like this.
Every time he woke up, he would feel annoyed and ashamed, but the next time he fell asleep, his mind and body were still out of his control. He did not think about who the other person was or why she always appeared in his dreams, and he naturally became close to her.
As I grew older, I had this dream less and less frequently.
But just now, he had another dream while half asleep and half awake on the way back, and he inexplicably felt that the man in ancient costume in the dream and Zhou Du who sat next to him in the real world were slowly overlapping. He tried hard to see the man's face in the dream, but still couldn't see it clearly, but Zhou Du next to him in the car gave him the feeling that he was the same person.
Li Yang struggled back and forth between dreams and reality all the way, and is still a little confused.
Another handful of cold water was poured on his face. Li Yang came out of the bathroom and saw Zhou Du coming from the opposite door. He picked up the remote control on the coffee table and pressed the on button for the air conditioner.
The room cooled down, and Zhou Du threw the neatly folded four-piece suit into his arms, "Can you make your own bed?"
Li Yang hugged a quilt with a cloud pattern and didn't move.
Zhou Du said lazily, "There are extra sheets and quilts in the kindergarten's nap room. Just use them. I've put the toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, and shampoo on the table for you. The slippers are at the door. What else do you need?"
"…" Forget it. Li Yang shook his head.
"I'll go cook some noodles and come down to eat in ten minutes."

Li Yang changed the bed sheets, put on the pillow, and went to the bathroom to take a shower. When he came out, his old cell phone was reading out the incoming call number, urging him to go downstairs to eat.
He wiped his wet hair hastily and ran downstairs.
On the table was a large bowl of steaming beef noodles with a poached egg. A man sat opposite, swiping his phone with one hand. When he heard footsteps, he just raised his eyes and continued swiping.
Li Yang pulled out a chair and sat down, picked up the chopsticks and ate quietly and with big mouthfuls.
Although he knew that the overlap was just an illusion, the man in the dream could not be Zhou Du, and Zhou Du could not know what he had done in the dream, but Li Yang still felt an inexplicable discomfort in his heart, and even the atmosphere was a bit strange.
Li Yang eats quickly and cleanly without wasting any food. This is his habit.
He ate the poached egg until the last two or three bites, picked up the bowl to drink up the soup, and when he put the bowl down, the inside was smooth, without a single noodle residue left.
He was carrying the dishes to wash when Lu Xiaoguo's voice came from far away, "Boss, you're back?"
No one answered. Zhou Du put away his phone and went upstairs. Li Yang was still in front of the pool, soaking in the water, but he wanted to become invisible.
When Lu Xiaoguo entered the room, he saw Li Yang washing dishes. He complained while changing his shoes, "What were you guys eating just now? Why didn't you call me?"
She has been organizing documents in the office until now, and just returned to the dormitory, and she hasn't eaten a single bite yet!
"Noodles." Li Yang spoke briefly.
"Is there any more?" Lu Xiaoguo looked into the pot hopefully.
Washed very clean.
Teacher Guoguo was angry: "How could this happen!"
Li Yang put the washed dishes on the drain rack and wiped his hands with a tissue. "I was the only one eating just now, so I made a single portion."
"Oh, yes, the boss goes home to eat." As long as the boss doesn't favor one over another and doesn't think about her, an old employee who has worked hard for him, when there's food, it's fine. "I'll just have some instant noodles."
Lu Xiaoguo took out a box of Sichuan pepper instant noodles from the locker, turned around and saw Li Yang's home slippers: "They are the same style as the boss's."
Li Yang grumbled and prepared to go upstairs.
But Lu Xiaoguo stopped him, "Well, could you please help me water the vegetable garden? Other vegetables don't need watering, only the winter melon in the northwest corner needs water. I forgot to water it today..."
Li Yang remembered that she said at noon that she couldn't find anyone to talk to this summer vacation and was so bored that she became friends with Dongguachu.
She scratched her ear. "In fact, we haven't taken good care of all the plants in our garden. They are all grown beautifully thanks to God. Only the winter melon looks like it has been hit by frost recently."
The electric kettle was boiling behind her, and Li Yang nodded. While Lu Xiaoguo was cooking instant noodles, she told him where the faucet was outside and asked him to use the hose to water it.
There was no headlight in the vegetable garden, so Li Yang went out with a flashlight, pulled the water pipe and walked to the northwest corner, where he saw a winter melon with wrinkled skin lying in a pile of vegetables. Except for it, the other vegetables were all growing well.
Is this what happens when you become friends with Lu Xiaoguo?
