"Hey, this is Company One."
"Could you please help me find Company Commander Zhou Zhenxing?"
Upon hearing the female voice coming from the microphone, Liu Wengao already knew who it was.
"Comrade Zhuo Lanyu, right? Company Commander Zhou has gone home to visit his family."
"He went home? When did that happen?"
Zhuo Lanyu's voice was noticeably louder.
Liu Wengao thought she was surprised by Zhou Zhenxing's sudden return home.
"He set off three days ago and should be home by now. Is there something you need from him?"
There was silence on the microphone.
"Comrade Zhuo Lanyu?" Liu Wengao thought the other party had hung up the phone.
"Why didn't he tell me beforehand?" This sentence seemed to be Zhuo Lanyu's own murmur.
Liu Wengao was aware of the ambiguous relationship between them and replied, "It was a last-minute decision by Company Commander Zhou."
Zhuo Lanyu continued, "Is he feeling any better?"
