Chapter 63 A Tremendous Event
It was late at night.
Su Jin opened her eyes from the darkness.
He got out of bed with the lightest movement, picked up the bundle placed beside the bed, and tiptoed away.
The room is divided into two parts, with the outer part being the living room.
She had just reached the bedroom door when she saw Guan An sitting on the sofa, staring at her without moving.
He didn't even turn on the light; he just sat there, completely upright.
Even though Su Jin had a good mental fortitude, she was still taken aback.
"Are you sick? Sitting here in the middle of the night without the lights on, are you trying to scare someone to death?"
He rubbed his rapidly beating heart while cursing rudely.
Guan An wasn't surprised at all by her appearance. "If you hadn't come out, you wouldn't have been scared."
Su Jin sensed the hidden meaning in his words and quickly regained her composure. "I'm going to the outhouse."
By the moonlight, Guan An looked at the bundle she was carrying. "She has to carry a bundle to the outhouse. It seems there's something very valuable inside."
Su Jin: "..."
This kid has been smart since he was a child. Even if she insists on denying that she knows them, she can't hide it from him.
"Mind your own business! It's you who have committed a crime by imprisoning me here!"
Guan An suddenly relaxed and stretched, "Then go find the police to arrest me."
That statement is both irritating and arrogant.
Of course, he also has the right to be fearless.
"The toilet is over there, go ahead."
They actively cooperated with Su Jin's lies.
"I don't want to go anymore."
Knowing that escape was hopeless, Su Jin prepared to go back and try to think of another way.
Guan An said, "I think you can't sleep. Why don't we have a chat?"
"I don't know you, there's nothing to talk about," Su Jin emphasized again, her attitude cold and distant.
“Even if we didn’t know each other before, we do now. Oh right, I haven’t introduced myself yet. My name is Guan An, the fat guy today is Qian Wei, and the skinny one is Wu Mang. We all live in the military family compound.”
Guan An ignored what Su Jin thought and continued talking to himself.
“Since you are family members of military personnel, you shouldn’t treat me like this,” Su Jin said, expressing her incomprehension.
Guan An explained, "Because you look so much like the person we're looking for. She's been gone for almost four years, and we've been looking for her for almost four years."
Su Jin's eyelids twitched, and she could hear the helplessness and longing in his words.
“I understand how you feel, but we can’t just pick anyone and pretend it’s her.”
Guan An's probing gaze fell on her. Although there was only faint moonlight in the room, he could still clearly capture the emotions on her face.
"Don't you want to hear just how similar you are to the person we're looking for?"
Su Jin said coldly, "I don't want to."
Guan An laughed instead, "In this respect, you are exactly the same. Sister Jin is the same; she never asks questions about things she shouldn't."
Su Jin was speechless.
Guan An watched her continue, “We grew up with Sister Jin. During the years we lived in the family compound, we had a lot of fun. Sister Jin led us to do many amazing things. She was our leader.”
As he spoke of these things, Guan An's face lit up with an irrepressible gleam.
Su Jin's lips twitched.
This kid is getting more and more exaggerated.
The so-called earth-shattering event was nothing more than the three of them getting into trouble outside, and her cleaning up their messes.
