Chapter 477 Intuition

Chapter 477 Intuition

Su Jin's brain went blank, and nothing remained. Time seemed to stand still at that moment.

Her eyes were fixed on Xiao Yunfeng's handsome face, which was so close to hers.

My heart is pounding wildly, a testament to the excitement of this moment.

"Uncle, what does this mean?"

He managed to make a sound with difficulty.

Xiao Yunfeng noticed her nervousness and then looked at their current surroundings.

“You were willing to be my girlfriend before, so I didn’t think there was any need to clarify.”

Su Jin caught the smile in his eyes, and her rationality quickly returned to most of her body.

It seems she's been tricked by him again?

"I agreed to pretend to be my uncle's girlfriend before so that the Liu family would give up on me. Now I don't want to get involved with any ridiculous rumors about my uncle."

She blurted out an angry sentence, using all her strength to suppress all the excitement she had just felt.

Xiao Yunfeng looked at her puffed-up cheeks, so cute that he wanted to pinch them.

Are you really that unwilling to be my girlfriend?

He made a sarcastic remark with a half-smile.

Su Jin shook her head vigorously, "I don't want to."

If they really get together, who knows what people outside will say.

Even if she didn't care about these things, she absolutely could not allow herself to succumb to this man before she found out the real reason for her father's sacrifice.

Xiao Yunfeng's smile froze for a moment, but it returned to normal the next second. He let out an exaggerated long sigh, "Well, it seems I still have to keep working hard."

Su Jin was now completely certain that he was just teasing her on purpose, so she casually retorted, "It's no use trying. My uncle is my elder, and I prefer someone young and imposing."

A crack appeared on Xiao Yunfeng's face.

She used to say he could be her "dad," but now she's calling him an "elder." This heartless little girl didn't say that when she kissed him while drunk.

Su Jin sensed the "fierceness" in his gaze and urged him somewhat guiltily, "Didn't Uncle say there were landmines ahead? Let's go take a look!"

After she finished speaking, she strode forward, and even the tension she felt earlier had been greatly reduced by the conversation.

Xiao Yunfeng gritted his teeth, but still followed closely behind.

The two walked for another ten minutes or so, and still nothing happened.

Su Jin pondered whether they should change direction. Although they were safe as long as they hadn't encountered any landmines, they hadn't come to this place to admire the trees and grass.

"It seems that my uncle's intuition isn't very accurate either."

He muttered something under his breath, then suddenly felt something under his foot step on with a cracking sound.

Although the sound wasn't loud, it sent a shiver down her spine and made her tense up instantly.

The next second she stiffly raised her head, met Xiao Yunfeng's gaze, and said very slowly, "Uncle, I think I've stepped on a landmine."

She had clearly checked the area with surveying tools before coming over, but the surveying equipment didn't react at all, which was something she hadn't expected.

Xiao Yunfeng was not surprised, shocked, or flustered at all. Instead, he quickly lowered his gaze and placed it on her right foot that had stepped out.

"Don't move yet."

He calmly offered a reminder, then squatted down and parted the weeds on both sides to check the situation below.

Seeing his completely calm demeanor, Su Jin's initial tension instantly subsided.

"Is it a landmine?"
