Chapter 44 What's wrong with people these days?

Before answering, Su Jin glanced around to make sure it was safe before asking, "What is that?"

The man took something out of the canvas bag he was carrying and spread it out in front of her.

After Su Jin saw it clearly, her expression became somewhat strange.

"This is a stain-removing soap. It can be used to wash clothes, towels, and even for bathing. It's not only powerful at removing stains, but it also smells wonderful," the man enthusiastically promoted, his words brimming with promises.

In those days, laundry soap was almost the only thing people used to wash clothes; laundry powder was still relatively rare.

The stain-removing soap in the man's hand was significantly brighter than ordinary laundry soap. As he spoke, he deliberately stretched his hand out in front of Su Jin so that she could smell the unusual fragrance of the stain-removing soap.

Su Jin asked, "Is this thing really that useful?"

The man nodded firmly, then deliberately lowered his voice, "You can't buy it on the market, it's exclusively supplied to the military, how could it not be good?"

"Since it's exclusively for military use, how did you get the supplies?"

Su Jin's seemingly curious gossip caused the man's expression to stiffen.

"I have my own channels. If you want it, it's fifty cents a dollar, and I guarantee it will work!"

Su Jin shook her head. "No."

"Why are you asking so many questions?" The man looked unhappy after the sales pitch failed, and his attitude immediately turned sour as he quickly put the stain-removing soap back in its place.

Su Jin didn't mind; no one knew this better than her.

Just a few steps from the black market, a man's impatient shouts suddenly came from not far away.

"Catch him! Thief! Catch him!"

Su Jin turned around and saw two people chasing each other, one in front of the other, running happily.

However, the skinny guy in front was obviously faster, darting past her like a gust of wind.

She was worried about being hit, so she deliberately took two steps to the side, making sure the road was completely clear.

Following behind was a man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a suit.

The man was panting heavily; despite the cold weather and his thin clothing, his face was still covered in sweat.

He was clearly exhausted and had to stop to breathe heavily.

"Stop him! People in front... help me stop him!"

With his last remaining strength, he shouted, trying to find a passerby who could help him.

But to his disappointment, no one was willing to meddle.

"If anyone can help me stop him, I'm willing to give him all the money in my bag!"

In desperation, he shouted.

He was forced into this situation with no other choice; there was a very important document in his bag, and losing it would be a huge problem.

The next second, Su Jin's eyes met his without warning.

How much money is in the bag?

man:"……"

Su Jin reminded him, "If you keep dawdling, the person will wander off."

After realizing what had happened, the man replied breathlessly, "A few dozen yuan."

Before he could finish speaking, Su Jin moved.

Although she was dressed like a bear, she was surprisingly fast on the run.

The man stared in disbelief at her fleeing figure, completely at a loss for words to describe his feelings.

She could have helped earlier, but she insisted on waiting until he said those words.

What's wrong with people these days? Don't they have any sense of justice at all?

However, the thief had created quite a distance between himself and Su Jin, making it virtually impossible for him to catch up.
