Chapter 77 This money was originally yours.
"Jin-jie, are you still inside?"
Guan An, who had not received a reply from Su Jin, was clearly getting anxious outside.
Su Jin ran quickly to the door, not forgetting to glance at the closed bedroom door.
"I'm here."
After replying, he opened the door.
Guan An's face was tense, but he relaxed after seeing her.
"I just woke up. Why are you here so early?"
Su Jin calmly offered an explanation, and then went back to the room with him.
Guan An gestured to the bag he was carrying, "I've come to deliver breakfast."
Su Jin smiled and said, "You're so thoughtful."
There's really no need to be so thoughtful.
Guan An was actually worried that she wouldn't keep her word and would leave behind their backs.
Fortunately, his worries were unnecessary.
"Go wash up, then eat it while it's hot."
Su Jin subconsciously looked towards the bedroom, thinking that it was probably unlikely that Guan An would leave now.
So I did as he said, quickly washed my face, brushed my teeth, and then went out to have breakfast.
"These are steamed buns from your favorite shop. Do you think they taste the same as before?"
Guan An took the initiative to set out the bowls and chopsticks for her.
Su Jin looked at the steaming buns and wontons, and it would be a lie to say she wasn't moved.
Have you eaten? Let's eat together.
"I ate some of it before I bought it, these are all for you."
Since he said that, Su Jin naturally didn't stand on ceremony and began to eat heartily.
"Sister Jin, you look much thinner. You must have suffered a lot these past few years in the countryside, right?"
Su Jin shook her head. Even the most difficult times were over, and she didn't want him to worry or be sad.
"Actually, it's nothing. Although the conditions there are a bit tough, the people are very nice and they take good care of me."
Guan An imagined how lost and helpless she must have felt, having lost her memory in that unfamiliar place.
"When we have the chance in the future, we'll go back and properly thank those who took care of Sister Jin."
Su Jin remained noncommittal and continued eating her steamed bun.
Guan An regained his composure and looked at her, continuing, "Sister Jin, you said yesterday you wanted to go to the south. Did you find a better way out?"
Su Jin replied honestly, "No, not at all. I just want to find a city with a pleasant climate to recuperate properly. As for the rest, I'll let nature take its course."
Guan An didn't say anything, but took a thick envelope out of his shirt pocket and handed it over.
Su Jin asked in confusion, "What is it?"
"Open it and take a look," Guan An said mysteriously.
Su Jin put down her chopsticks, took the envelope, opened it, and then stared intently at it.
It was stuffed full of tickets.
It's definitely worth several hundred yuan.
"So much money? What are you going to do with it?"
Her first thought was that Guan An should bring money to help her.
But what Guan An said next left her speechless with astonishment.
"This money was originally yours."
"Are you kidding me? When did I get so much money?"
After finishing speaking, Su Jin calmly placed the envelope back on the table.
Although she really liked money, she couldn't accept it without a reason.
Guan An explained, "Sister Jin, have you forgotten? Four years ago, you taught us how to make a stain-removing soap."
Su Jin raised an eyebrow; of course she hadn't forgotten.
I just don't know why he suddenly brought this up?
However, since he brought it up, she also had some doubts.
"To be honest, I find it quite strange. A few days ago, I went to the black market, and there was someone selling stain-removing soap. If I'm not mistaken, it should be the one we made back then."
That's why she reacted with such surprise when that person tried to sell it to her.
