Chapter 739 Provocation
Su Jin greeted him generously as "Uncle Zhao".
Zhao Fenglin was all smiles.
"I apologize for the intrusion and for disturbing Uncle Zhao and Aunt Sihua," Su Jin said deliberately, while also changing how she addressed Li Sihua.
"How could that be? I told you before that you can come over whenever you have time."
When Li Sihua received her call in the morning, she was both surprised and delighted.
I came back early to prepare the meal.
As the couple talked, they beckoned Su Jin to the dining room.
Although there were only the three of them, the table was still full of food.
"Girl, these were all made by your Aunt Sihua herself. Try them and see if they suit your taste."
Su Jin and Zhao Fenglin were meeting for the first time, but Su Jin didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable at all.
"Looks like I'm in for a treat today!"
She never makes mistakes in interpersonal relationships, especially since the other party is very friendly to her.
"How is your recovery going?" Li Sihua asked with concern.
Su Jin replied, "I'm completely fine now."
Li Sihua and Zhao Fenglin exchanged a glance and nodded in unison.

Before he could finish speaking, Li Sihua immediately added, "I think girls shouldn't be fighting and killing each other."
Zhao Fenglin retorted in disagreement, "Who says women are inferior to men? Su Jin's awareness in this regard is far superior to yours! As the saying goes, like father, like daughter!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the previously relaxed dining table fell silent for a second.
Li Sihua even kicked him under the table.
Before Zhao Fenglin could explain, Su Jin's voice rang out.
"Uncle Zhao, do you know my father?"
Zhao Fenglin was slightly taken aback at first, then smiled awkwardly, "I don't know him. I was just saying it offhand."
Seeing Su Jin's probing gaze, Li Sihua quickly added an explanation, "Your Uncle Zhao usually doesn't think things through, so don't take it to heart."
"So that's how it is. I thought Uncle Zhao knew my father."
Su Jin said with some disappointment.

Zhao Fenglin became noticeably more cautious in his speech afterward, and Su Jin did not show any unusual behavior.
Halfway through the meal, Su Jin changed the subject.
“My father and mother passed away more than ten years ago. Since then, I have lived in the family compound and have not received much guidance from my elders. A few days ago, Aunt Sihua said something to me that made me think a lot. I think it makes a lot of sense, which is one of the reasons why I came to visit today.”
When Zhao Fenglin and Li Sihua heard her mention her parents, they almost simultaneously put down their chopsticks and their expressions turned serious.
"Which aspect are you referring to?" Li Sihua immediately asked to confirm.
Su Jin said very sincerely, "It's about feelings. Aunt Sihua is right. Since I chose to be with Xiao Yunfeng, I should take on the responsibility of taking care of his life. I was too selfish before, only thinking about doing what I wanted to do."
When Li Sihua heard her say that, instead of feeling relieved, her face tightened.
Su Jin took in her reaction. "So I'm thinking of sticking to my post until the very end in the action team. After I get married, I'll apply for a transfer, or I'll stay home and be a good wife and mother."
