Chapter 1
Fu's Hall.
Jin Chaochao looked at the man sitting on the sofa with curiosity.
He had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, three-dimensional facial features, and was wearing a black suit, which made him look ruthless, aloof and indifferent.
This is her soon-to-be husband, the one she must marry.
Fu Tingyuan also narrowed his narrow eyes and looked at Jin Chaochao.
The woman had long hair tied into a ponytail and was wearing a tattered cloth shirt that was patched all over, but fortunately it was washed very clean.
Old Master Fu was sitting on the other side of the sofa. Seeing that neither of them spoke, he gave a dry laugh and explained, "Ting Yuan, Chao Chao is your fiancée. This marriage was decided when you were in your teens. Now that Chao Chao has come to fulfill the engagement, you should prepare to marry her."
Fu Tingyuan said in a cold voice: "What era is it now? Why do you still care about child marriage? I think we should just give up!"
Jin Chaochao immediately shook her head, "I can't back out. When we got engaged, we had already consulted our ancestors. If we don't fulfill the engagement, we will be punished by the gods."
Fu Tingyuan listened to her excuses and his face became even uglier. "You can even make up such a reason to marry me. Do you know who I am?"
Fu Tingyuan - the outside world's evaluation of him is: an old fox in the business circle, smart and cunning, decisive and ruthless in doing things.
There are countless women in this world who want to marry him.
Jin Chaochao nodded solemnly, "You are Fu Tingyuan. My grandma has been telling me since I was a child that I must marry you when I grow up."
Fu Tingyuan felt like he had punched cotton.
He even felt like laughing.
This woman was not familiar with him at all, yet she actually wanted to become Mrs. Fu.
He rubbed his brows impatiently, stood up and looked at Mr. Fu, "I won't get married!"
Mr. Fu's face turned cold.
"If you don't listen, don't call me grandpa anymore."
Fu Tingyuan frowned and refused to listen.
Old Master Fu walked up to Fu Tingyuan and said earnestly, "At that time, you personally worshipped Chao Chao's ancestors. According to the rules of Xuanmen, you are already their son-in-law."
Fu Tingyuan sneered coldly: "In order to get me to get married, you actually found such an excuse."
Mr. Fu was so angry that he was about to vomit blood.
When he was a child, Fu Tingyuan was in poor health and fell ill every other day.
When he was twelve years old, he had a high fever for more than ten days and his life was hanging by a thread. With the guidance of an expert, he sought help from the secluded Xuanmen clan.
The old woman at that time only made this one request, to arrange marriages for the two children.
On the night of the engagement, Fu Tingyuan's illness was miraculously cured, and he never fell ill again since then.
Every time he mentioned this matter to Fu Tingyuan, he couldn't remember it at all and thought he was lying to him.
Jin Chaochao frowned in distress. The next second, she seemed to have thought of something and took out a scroll from her bag and handed it to Fu Tingyuan, "Look, this is the marriage certificate!"
Fu Tingyuan took the scroll doubtfully, unfolded it and took a quick look at it.
There were a lot of words written on the marriage certificate, and he just read a paragraph at random.
"A marriage certificate is presented to the Heavenly Court. It is reported to the Nine Heavens and to the Underworld. It is reported to all the saints and communicated to the three realms. The ancestors of the heavens bear witness. The heaven and earth are the mirrors, and the sun and the moon are of the same mind. If you betray the beauty, you are deceiving the heaven. If you betray the beauty, you are violating the will of the heaven. The crime of deceiving the heaven is death."
The signature is Jin Chaochao and Fu Tingyuan!
Fu Tingyuan stared at the words "Heaven" and "Heavenly Palace" with a look of sarcasm on his face.
He returned the marriage certificate to Jin Chaochao, and not wanting to get involved any further, he quickly left using the excuse of being busy with work.
Facing Jin Chaochao, Mr. Fu spoke awkwardly and said, "Girl, why don't you stay at our house first. Let grandpa handle this matter, you just need to wait patiently."
Jin Chaochao could only agree now.
Mr. Fu arranged a room for her next to Fu Tingyuan.
The room is fully furnished except for some daily necessities.
Fortunately, Jin Chaochao carried them with her.
In the exquisite and warm bedroom.
Jin Chaochao was packing her things when the door behind her was suddenly pushed open with force.
A girl, about twenty years old, rushed in carelessly.
Fu Xiaoan raised his chin and stared at Jin Chaochao arrogantly, "Oh, so it's you who wants to be my sister-in-law. You are young, but you are incredibly brave and courageous."
Jin Chaochao stopped what she was doing and turned around to look at Fu Xiaoan.
She was wearing all branded clothes, and the jewelry on her fingers and neck were all worth a fortune. Her already pretty face was lightly made up, and she looked as delicate as a little princess.
But beneath such a delicate appearance, there was a strong aura of blood between his brows.
Jin Chaochao ignored her ridicule and sat down gracefully on the sofa.
She looked at Fu Xiaoan and said nonchalantly, "How about we make a bet!"
Fu Xiaoan's tone was full of disdain: "What are you betting on? Betting that you can become my sister-in-law?"
Jin Chaochao picked up the teacup on the table, poured herself a glass of water, and said with a smile, "I bet you'll have a disaster tonight."
Fu Xiaoan's hair immediately blew up when he heard this, his eyes widened, "You cursed me?"
Jin Chaochao shook his head, "I forgot to introduce myself to you. I am the only descendant of Xuanmen. I know a thing or two about fortune-telling, physiognomy, divination, feng shui, and catching ghosts. I am just kindly reminding you because we may have a relationship in the future."
Fu Xiaoan didn't believe it at first, but when he saw Jin Chaochao's eyes, they were dark, bright and steady, and it didn't seem like he was joking.
Only then did she carefully look at the woman in front of her.
Although he was dressed in rags and had nothing valuable on him, he gave people a feeling of being so clean that he was not stained by dust.
Especially those eyes, shining like the little sun. When I looked into their eyes, I felt a sense of comfort for no reason.
Fu Xiaoan was shocked by his own thoughts.
Her face instantly turned red. "Why should I believe you? It's a different era now, and you're still deceiving people under the banner of metaphysics. I won't be fooled!"
Jin Chaochao put down the teacup, leaned back on the sofa and smiled, "You can choose not to believe me, but don't regret it later!"
Fu Xiaoan's heart was instantly in turmoil.
I heard that there was a little girl whose origin was unknown and was going to marry Fu Tingyuan.
She thought the little girl was simply wishful thinking.
If you want to be her sister-in-law, you must be both virtuous and academically excellent, stunningly beautiful, have a great personality, and be extremely smart.
Someone like Jin Chaochao, who is poor and unsophisticated, is not worthy at all.
But Jin Chaochao came up and said that she was in a great disaster.
Meow...
Whoever you send this message to will be panic!
Fu Xiaoan bit his teeth and comforted himself.
This must be a despicable trick that Jin Chaochao used to scare her.
She couldn't believe it.
Go, go, go, get out of here quickly.
But she walked out of the room feeling uneasy.
Will something bad really happen to her?
