Chapter 234

Chapter 234

He returned to the kitchen and saw the pot was still bubbling. He took out his cell phone to check the time and discovered that only six minutes had passed since his wife left the house.

After Zhang Ruoming had the dream just now, he felt so weak that he could hardly walk.

He was exhausted after just going to the kitchen.

I sat back on the sofa and picked up the cup of water on the table. I found that my hands were shaking so badly that the water in the cup spilled all over the floor.

He put down the water cup, lay down on the sofa, and felt a little more relaxed.

But after just a few minutes, he fell asleep again.

In the dream, the house was pitch black, but outside was brightly lit.

He heard the sound of mung bean soup cooking and wanted to get up from the sofa, but his body felt like a mountain was pressing down on him and he couldn't get up no matter how hard he struggled.

He wanted to speak, but no words came out. He seemed to be possessed.

He struggled hard, sweating all over and soaking wet.

"Honey, what's wrong with you!" The woman returned home with the child and saw the man lying on the sofa, sweating profusely and his clothes soaked.

Just then, the child in her arms started crying again.

The sleeping man couldn't be woken up no matter what.

Just as she took out her cell phone and was about to call for help, Zhang Ruoming sat up from the sofa.

His hair was soaked and stuck together, and his eyes were filled with fear: "Wife, the mung bean soup is burnt."

The woman coaxed the child while walking to the kitchen to turn off the fire.

The mung bean soup was not burnt, but the water was almost boiling away.

"Honey, Hanhan started crying as soon as she came in. Maybe you got into trouble with something unclean outside." She walked out the door holding the child.

After leaving Zhang Ruoming, the child stopped crying.

As soon as he gets home, he makes a lot of noise.

She had taken her child to the hospital before, and the doctor checked her and found that the child was healthy and had no problems.

The woman suspected that her husband had brought the dirty things upon her.

Zhang Ruoming wiped the sweat off his face and said, "Don't talk nonsense. It's a different era now. Superstition is not acceptable. Take your child to see a doctor. What does the doctor say?"

The woman spoke truthfully, "Hanhan is fine. He made a fuss about going out as soon as he got home. Mom just called me and asked me to go back. I'll sleep there tonight. Please be careful!"

Her parents' home is in the same village, only twenty minutes' walk away.

The woman took the child's clothes and went out.

Zhang Ruoming always felt a chill on his back. After experiencing two nightmares and watching his wife take their son away, he gritted his teeth and went back to the bedroom to take a shower.

By the time he came out of the shower, it was already half past ten in the evening.

He looked out the window and always felt like something was staring at him.

Thinking of what Jin Chaochao said during the day, he remembered that the agent put the talisman paper in his pocket just in case.

He rummaged through his clothes, found the talisman paper and business card, and stuffed them under his pillow.

He wanted to see if there were really ghosts in this world.

Because of what happened just now, he couldn't fall asleep at all.

I tossed and turned in bed, and couldn't help but look out the window.

Before he knew it, it was 12 o'clock and Zhang Ruoming looked towards the glass window again.

It was already pitch black outside, with not a single ray of light to be seen; instead, the bedside lamp in the bedroom seemed depressing and dazzling.

Just when he was about to look away and get a good night's sleep, five faces as pale as paper suddenly appeared on the glass window.

He was so frightened that he sat up from the bed. When he looked up again, there was nothing on the window.

"Damn, this is weird!" He stood up and went to the window to look out.

The whole village was pitch black, which was completely different from what we usually see.

Although this is a village, it is also the suburbs of the city. There are many buildings around and there are street lights at every intersection. It doesn't make sense that it's so dark that you can't see anything.

He wanted to put on his clothes and go downstairs to take a look.

But he felt inexplicably afraid, and finally he returned to his bed trembling, covered his head with the quilt and went to sleep.

He thought that as long as he fell asleep and stopped thinking about random things, everything would be fine.

After an unknown amount of time, Zhang Ruoming actually fell asleep.

Not long after he fell asleep, he felt difficulty breathing and his neck seemed to be strangled by something.

He was so scared that he reached under the pillow.

After finally finding the talisman paper, he took it out without thinking and hit his neck with it.

"Ah!" After a woman's scream, Zhang Ruoming opened his eyes from his confusion, covering his neck with his hands and gasping for breath.

He was sure that he was not dreaming.

Turning on the light, he stumbled into the bathroom. Looking into the mirror, he clearly saw two bluish black handprints on his neck. He was so frightened that his legs went weak.

Jin Chaochao received a call from Zhang Ruoming at three in the morning.

The voice on the other end of the phone was shaking. "Ms. Jin, I'll sell this land to you. It's the price you say."

Jin Chaochao replied: "Then I will go there to handle the formalities tomorrow. The money is ready."

Zhang Ruoming was about to cry, "Can you come over now? I'm scared!"

"Didn't I give you the talisman paper? After you use it, I guarantee you'll be fine until dawn."

Hang up the phone.

Zhang Ruoming walked carefully to the window. The street lights outside were bright, and several houses in the distance still had lights on.

This is what a normal city night looks like.

He returned to bed, covered himself with the quilt, and held his head until dawn.

After Jin Chaochao arrived, Zhang Ruoming quickly arranged for the transfer to her.

After the transfer was completed, he clasped his hands together and said to Jin Chaochao very politely: "If you move that piece of land, it will not affect the lives of the surrounding residents, right?"

"Don't worry. Since I can buy it, I naturally have a way to manage this land, and it won't affect others. But you, the evil energy has entered your body, and you might get a serious illness." Jin Chaochao told the truth.

Zhang Ruoming grabbed Jin Chaochao's sleeve in fear, "Lady, help me!"

After all, you won’t cry until you see the coffin!

Now he is completely convinced.

He never wanted to see those horrible faces again.

Jin Chaochao took out a peace charm and handed it to Zhang Ruoming. "One hundred thousand for one. It guarantees you safety and success. Do you want to buy it?"

"Buy, buy, buy!" Zhang Ruoming could feel that his body was very weak. He was out of breath after walking a few steps. Occasionally, he felt inexplicably anxious and short of breath. He was very different from his usual self.

Not to mention one hundred thousand per ticket, even if it was one million, he would still buy it.

Jin Chaochao helped Zhang Ruoming fold the talisman paper into a triangle. "Keep it well. It can save your life at a critical moment."

Zhang Ruoming took it with both hands as if he were holding a treasure, and vowed to keep it well.

Jin Chaochao saw that his attitude today was very different from yesterday, and couldn't help but laugh, "I will set up an altar here tonight and collect all the ghosts. If you are curious, you can come and see."

Zhang Ruoming was indeed curious.

In the afternoon, Yan's mother and Jin Chaochao were preparing offerings for the evening.

In order not to attract other people's attention, workers were temporarily hired to build a shed to cover the situation.

Jin Chaochao set up the altar, which was filled with food, incense, candles, stoves, and gold ingots, all placed in boxes.

Night falls.

Jin Chaochao was a guest at Zhang Ruoming's home.

Mrs. Zhang prepared a table of dishes for the guests. "Miss Jin, it's a good thing I took the children back to my parents' home last night, otherwise I don't know what would have happened."

Adults are fine, but the key is that children cannot stand being frightened.
