After Chapter 452, we'll be a family of four.

After Chapter 452, we'll be a family of four.

Shen Buyu recovered very well. Apart from a few sharp pains during the initial contractions, she didn't find it particularly difficult to endure.

With the careful care of her family, she was soon able to get out of bed and walk around.

She went to the nursery, where the two babies were eating.

"Look, doesn't it look just like you?" Ling Huiwen said softly. She's grown up a lot these past few days, and it's even more noticeable now.

"It's amazing, it changes every day." Shen Buyu tilted his head and looked at it.

On the first day, her eyes were still red and she couldn't even open them.

Now, just a few days later, she is fair-skinned, delicate, and exquisitely beautiful.

“The younger brother is impatient,” Lan Xinyan said, pointing to one of them. “He drinks milk faster than his older brother.”

Two babies, the same amount of milk.

One gulp and it's done.

An elegant and leisurely one.

The twins thus began to show different personalities.

“I feel like he was playing with his own umbilical cord,” Shen Buyu said with some regret. “I should have asked the doctor to put a label on it.”

“They’re just kids, why are you labeling them?” Shen Yunqi came to see her sister and nephew after get off work. “Whoever they are, they all look the same to me.”

“Then let’s stick them on,” Shen Buyu chuckled. “They all look the same, so we still need to distinguish them.”

"Haven't you thought about naming the child yet?" Shen Yunqi flicked his finger at the silent forehead. "You're already starting to get the 'pregnancy brain' that lasts for three years?"

Shen Buyu: ... "You say I'm stupid? I'm going to tell my older brother and have him dock your pay."

"I was wrong, I was stupid, okay?" Shen Yunqi admitted his mistake very well. "You've been standing for too long, go back and lie down. Let me see my nephews."

Shen Buyu returned to his room, and Shen Zhiye also arrived, serving soup.

"Dad, why don't you give the kids some nicknames to call them for now?" Shen Buyu lay down on the bed. "I don't want to think about it."

Shen Zhiye laughed, "Okay, if Dad wants to use his brain, you can just use your mouth to drink the soup."

It's a good thing that his daughter asked him to give the children nicknames.

But he was also a responsible in-law; he couldn't leave the Si family uninformed, since they cherished their two children like the apples of their eyes.

“Your father-in-law and I will think about it together. You and Jingxu will decide on the details later, and we will not interfere.”

The two fathers listed a bunch of nice-sounding names, and finally chose 'Sui Sui' and 'An An'.

The meaning is simple: they just hope their grandchildren will live in peace and safety year after year.

Sui Sui is the older brother, calm and quiet. He occasionally opens his eyes to look at the world, but most of the time he is sleeping.

An'an is the younger brother. He is impatient and loves to cry. He cries after eating and after waking up. He has a loud and distinctive voice.

My brother is often woken up by him.

"Are you feeling unwell?" Shen Buyu was already able to hold the baby, and she gently hugged the tiny child. "An'an, Mommy's here. Where do you feel unwell?"

“He just has a bad temper,” Si Jingxu said, watching from the side. “He’s so noisy that you can’t get any rest.”

An'an cried even louder when she heard her father's words.

Shen Buyu glared at Si Jingxu, "Speak properly, they can all understand you."

What could such a tiny thing understand? But he didn't dare to utter a sound.

You shouldn't get angry when your wife is in postpartum confinement.

Shen Buyu spent forty-two days in the hospital during her postpartum confinement period before returning home.

After getting off the car, Si Jingxu carried Sui Sui, and she carried An An. The family of four stepped into their home together.

"Sui Sui, An An, we're home. This is the home where you'll live with your mom and dad," Shen Buyu said softly.

She carried the baby around the living room and then around their bedroom. Si Jingxu then had the nanny take the baby from them.

“You haven’t fully recovered yet, you can’t hold the baby for too long,” Si Jingxu said, picking her up in his arms. “Your husband is holding you.”

“I’m all done with my postpartum confinement,” Shen Buyu said, still wrapping her arms around his neck. “It’s so nice. From now on, we’ll be a family of four.”

"Yes, a family of four."

Shen Buyu's friends all found out about her giving birth that very day.

However, she was too weak at the time, and the baby was too small. Adults have a lot of bacteria on them, which might be unhygienic. So everyone discussed that they would not go to the hospital to see her for the time being, and would only contact her by phone.

But now they're home, the babies are healthy, and their friends have made plans to visit them.

Long Yu and his family of three arrived early.

“Oh my, my nephews,” Long Yu said, looking at the two babies in the crib with a smile on his face. “Your dad’s photography skills are terrible. You two are much better looking than in the photos.”

"Get out of here," Si Jingxu said lazily. "You came to my house and spoke ill of me in front of my son."

"Sui Sui, An An, I am Uncle Long Yu. Remember me, Uncle Long Yu, your dearest and most beloved Uncle Long Yu." Long Yu acted as if he hadn't heard Si Jingxu's words.

Two-year-old Long Xiaobao glanced at his silly father, sighed, and ran to Shen Buyu, saying, "Auntie, you're so pretty."

Shen Buyu smiled broadly, "Our Xiaobao has the best taste, doesn't he? You're so handsome too. When your younger brothers grow up, you can play with them."

"Auntie, I want a little sister." Long Xiaobao snuggled in Shen Buyu's arms and said softly, "I want a little sister."

“Go ask your parents,” Si Jingxu said, looking at Lin Xia. “They’re always talking nonsense to the child.”

"Little nephew, you're really getting all resentful these days," Lin Xia teased him, then asked Shen Buyu, "When are you having the banquet?"

"The parents all think the baby is too small to be taken out, and they'll wait until he's 100 days old."

Lin Xia nodded, "That's right. When Xiao Bao had his one-month celebration, he caught a cold right afterward. It's better to be a little older; it's safer that way."

Qin Nianke arrived late with Huo Qingci.

"My sister! You're amazing, you gave birth to two babies!" Qin Nianke gave Shen Buyu a big hug. "I need to wash my hands and disinfect them before I go hug my nephews."

"Go ahead and get in line." Shen Buyu had recovered well after giving birth and was in a good mood. She even found Huo Qingci more agreeable. "Hello, Deputy Director Huo."

Huo Qingci's temples throbbed. "Let's not address each other by our titles in private, Cousin-in-law."

Shen Buyu raised an eyebrow. Just as Si Jingxu had said, Old Huo had gotten the hang of it.

No wonder he's the youngest deputy director-general; we should learn from him.

With four nannies and four full-time baby caregivers at home, plus both sets of parents and brothers, Shen Buyu doesn't feel tired at all taking care of the baby.

Sometimes she doesn't even get a chance to hold him.

But she still insists on playing with her two children for a while every night, telling them stories, and hugging them one by one.

She didn't want to be a hands-off mom.

She didn't want to become the second Meng Qingzhi.

No matter the relationship, if one party doesn't contribute, the relationship will run into problems.

Time flies, and Chen Buyu's maternity leave is over. She will be returning to work soon.

Si Jingxu held her waist tightly, saying, "Wife, I'm experiencing separation anxiety."

Shen Buyu closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
