Chapter 120 Is the hat yours too?

Chapter 120 Is the hat yours too?

When it comes to making money, Yan Buyu gets all excited.

She leaned towards Si Jingxu, her eyes shining, "Are we going to invest in a tourism project?"

Others are greedy for money, but Si Jingxu finds it troublesome.

Her blatant love for money, though unspoken, is actually quite endearing.

He finished eating, pushed the bowl aside, and took a tissue to wipe his mouth.

He mimicked her gesture, leaning slightly to her side. "Yes, Ms. Yan, would you be interested in going to check it out together?"

The simple greeting, "Little Yan Zong," made Yan Buyu happy.

Her mouth stretched almost to her ears in a wide grin, and her eyes were bright and crescent-shaped.

Si Jingxu was momentarily stunned.

"When shall we set off, Brother Jingxu?"

Si Jingxu raised his chin. "Finish your meal, and I'll tell them to get ready."

Even eating without saying a word became a source of motivation.

She also sent a message to her older brother to let him know.

Her older brother told her to have fun with Si Jingxu and decide whether to invest based on her own feelings.

If there's a profit, it's hers; if there's a loss, her older brother will cover it.

"Such a good person is hard to find even with a lantern," Yan Buyu replied to his older brother with a cute cat emoji asking for a hug, feeling overwhelmed with emotion, "I'm so lucky."

"So you finally realize how good Brother Jingxu is?" Si Jingxu had finished his business and came to find her when he overheard this sentence.

I wanted to tell the truth, but seeing how happy he was, I remained silent and didn't explain.

He can think about a bowl of noodles all night long. If he knew she was praising his older brother, who knows what kind of trouble he would cause.

"Brother Jingxu, you're so kind," Yan Buyu said, putting away her phone. "Can we set off now? What should I bring?"

"When you go out with your brother Jingxu, you only need to bring yourself." Si Jingxu's good mood continued.

It all started when I ate that bowl of noodles.

He brought a driver, and his assistant Zhou Ze sat in the passenger seat.

Yan Buyu and Si Jingxu sat in the back row.

Once in the car, Si Jingxu handed her a business plan, saying, "Take a look at it first."

Without saying a word, he took the book and carefully turned the pages one by one.

Si Jingxu leaned to one side, propping his head up with one hand as he looked at her.

"Brother Jingxu, there are so many ancient towns now, is this one competitive?" Yan Buyu looked up and asked, but was stunned.

After finishing his meal, Si Jingxu went to change his clothes.

He was wearing a black casual shirt, with the top few buttons undone, and his body was slightly turned to the side.

From her angle, she could see just the right amount of his slender, defined collarbone and a small patch of well-defined pectoral muscles.

It looks like it was all pre-designed.

Although Qin Nianke often shares videos of muscular men with her on social media.

But there's still a difference between seeing it through a screen and seeing it face-to-face.

At twenty, Yan Buyu couldn't hold on any longer.

Her face immediately turned red.

Si Jingxu narrowed his peach blossom eyes slightly, the corners of his eyes curving upwards, gazing at Yan Buyu's every move with tender affection.

I didn't miss a single expression on her face.

Seeing her blushing face, the smile on his lips gradually widened.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything?" he asked knowingly. "Is the air conditioning too hot?"

“Ah, no,” Yan Buyu immediately turned his head and coughed lightly, “I was just about to ask you something.”

She closed her eyes and recalled, "Beauty really can be a trap."

"No rush, think about it slowly." Si Jingxu had plenty of patience.

"Oh, right, I was asking you if the development of this ancient town is cost-effective. There are so many ancient towns all over the country now, does this one have any advantages?" Yan Buyu remembered and asked again, but did not look to the side.

They were all acquaintances, and she was really afraid of being mistaken for a female hooligan.

“Hmm, that’s a good question,” Si Jingxu replied slowly and deliberately. “After today, you can experience it for yourself.”

Since he said that, Yan Buyu felt relieved.

What she could think of, Si Jingxu's men had already thought of long ago.

Otherwise, it wouldn't have been delivered to him.

There is a particularly difficult stretch of road leading to the ancient town.

There were many stones, and the area was pitted and uneven.

However, Si Jingxu's car was very good; when the speed slowed down, one could only feel a slight bump inside the car.

Yan Buyu glanced out the car window and was startled.

Next to it was a huge pit, bottomless, with only lush, dense trees visible.

The landscape is entirely green, and the color deepens as you look down.

Instead of feeling vibrant with life, I felt a sense of fear, like being in the deep sea.

From her perspective, their car looked as if it were driving right up to the edge of the road.

"Is that a huge pit over there? Right next to the road, with no guardrail?" she exclaimed.

That's far too dangerous.

Si Jingxu glanced at it as well, "Yes, so the first thing we did after receiving the investment was to build roads."

Without saying a word, he nodded and said, "If rural areas want to get rich, they must first build roads."

“Miss Yan, don’t be afraid. Our car is about a meter away from the edge.” Zhou Ze in the front seat spoke up at the right time, relieving Yan Buyu’s anxiety and panic.

But she dared not look outside anymore.

The springtime imagery that had been swirling in my mind vanished, replaced by a mind full of calculations.

Should this pit be filled in or should a fence be built instead?

Fences are certainly cheaper to build, but they are not safe.

Filling in the gaps would require a huge investment.

How much money would that require?

Si Jingxu just watched her, sometimes frowning, sometimes taking out her phone to look something up.

That's so interesting.

No wonder his grandfather keeps urging him to get married and have children; it would be quite fun to have a kid like that in the family.

Upon arrival, they saw people standing at the town entrance to greet them from afar.

It wasn't a large event, but you could tell it was well-made; there were banners and a drum and gong team.

Yan Buyu regretted it; she should have brought a mask.

As if on cue, someone handed over a large sun hat.

“The sun is strong,” Si Jingxu said, pulling out another pair of sunglasses as if by magic. “These are my sunglasses, you can make do with them.”

Something is better than nothing.

"Is the hat yours too?" Yan Buyu asked as he put it on.

Si Jingxu chuckled softly, "Does your brother Jingxu seem to like men who wear pink ribbon-tie straw hats?"

Yan Buyu's hand, which was tying the rope, froze. "Then this is someone else's hat?" She was starting to not want to wear it anymore.

“There’s no one else,” Si Jingxu said, reaching out his hand and deftly tying a pretty bow with his well-defined knuckles. “I bought this for you. It’s new. You can ask Zhou Ze if you don’t believe me.”

Zhou Ze, who had been listening to the commotion behind him, immediately spoke up, "Yes, Miss Yan, this hat was personally selected by my boss yesterday. I picked it up from the store, and I still have the invoice with me."

"Oh, I see," Yan Buyu blushed and gave Si Jingxu a charming smile, "Brother Jingxu is so thoughtful."

Si Jingxu raised an eyebrow. "You were just cursing me in your heart, weren't you? Tell me, what did you say about me?"

"I swear to God, I'm not that kind of person." Yan Buyu avoided looking at him. "Shall we get off the bus?"

"Wait a moment." After the car came to a stop, Si Jingxu got out first.

She thought she was going somewhere else with the car and was waiting for the driver to start the engine.

She saw the man who had just gotten out of the car walk straight to her side without greeting the people who were there to greet him. He reached out and opened the car door for her, saying, "Get out of the car, little princess."
