Chapter 132 Can I apply for a handshake?
Yan Buyu blushed as red as a ripe apple, her back pressed tightly against the window.
Now, whenever she gets close to Si Jingxu, her heart races uncontrollably; she's afraid of that feeling.
Si Jingxu took a deep breath and tried to calm his voice. "Come here, sit down, let's talk."
"Let's just say it here, Brother Jingxu." Her voice was so soft it was barely audible. "Or maybe we shouldn't say anything at all; the doctor told you to rest."
"No words." Si Jingxu raised his hand, pulled on his shoulder, frowned and hissed.
Yan Buyu rushed over immediately, "Did you hurt yourself? I'll go call the doctor."
Si Jingxu wasn't faking it; the pain from a fractured scapula was quite intense.
However, he didn't give Yan Buyu a chance to leave. He grabbed her hand and, enduring the pain, said in a hoarse voice, "Don't move."
As soon as Yan Buyu withdrew his hand, he cried out in pain.
She could only stand there, her body stiff.
The heat emanating from her hands was something she couldn't ignore.
Si Jingxu tilted his head to look at her, "I'm just having surgery, and you're already backing out?"
"No, Brother Jingxu, let go first, let's talk this out." Yan Buyu wanted to pull his hand back, but was afraid of hurting him.
“No,” Si Jingxu said bluntly, “If I let go, you’ll run away. Now I’m limping, where am I supposed to catch you? You have to give me a clear explanation.”
Forgot about that, his foot is still injured.
All the injuries on his body came from her.
He softened and remained silent.
She turned slightly to look at Si Jingxu, speaking slowly, "Don't rush, okay? I won't run away. Can I sit next to you?"
Si Jingxu hummed in agreement, loosely grasped her hand, and then tightened his grip again once she turned around and sat down.
The childlike gesture made Yan Buyu's lips curve into a smile.
“Buyu, I’m not kidding you, I really like you,” Si Jingxu said bluntly, “Be my girlfriend.”
He lowered his head without saying a word; there were abrasions on the back of his hand that looked painful.
If it weren't for him, I would be the one lying here now.
It might get even worse.
He also protected the lucky clover very well.
She admitted that she had long harbored different feelings for Si Jingxu.
She lowered her head, trying to find reasons to refuse, "But I told my family that I wouldn't date before graduating from university."
Si Jingxu paused for a second, then said, "It doesn't have to be made public before graduation."
She looked at him with a puzzled expression, "What do you mean?"
"Let's keep it secret," Si Jingxu said with a helpless tone. "We won't let your brothers know, we won't let Uncle Chen and Aunt Lan know, just the two of us will know, okay?"
"Someone's knocking on the door, I'll go check it out." Yan Buyu took the opportunity to withdraw his hand and open the door.
Si Jingxu was extremely anxious; she had escaped again.
The nurse pushed the cart in, saying, "It's time to take your medicine."
Si Jingxu's face darkened. "Do you have any painkillers?"
"Yes," the nurse replied, "we have both anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medications."
Si Jingxu looked at Yan Buyu and said coldly, "Does it hurt you? It's not just about picking someone out after they've been hurt."
The nurse was taken aback and didn't know how to respond.
He suppressed a laugh and reached out his hand, "Give it to me."
The nurse breathed a sigh of relief and pushed the cart out.
Yan Buyu held the medicine in his hand and poured himself another glass of warm water.
"Take your medicine, Brother Jingxu."
The hand in front of me was delicate, and the few pills in its palm looked adorable.
Si Jingxu said goodbye, childishly refusing, "I won't eat."
Without saying a word, she followed him over, saying, "I won't agree if you don't eat it."
"You agree just because you took it?" Si Jingxu looked up at her, saying as he went to get the medicine. "If you go back on your word after I finish taking it, I'll make a scene at your house."
Without saying a word, she handed him the water and watched him obediently finish his medicine. Then she whispered, "If you keep threatening me with this every time we have a disagreement, then I'll just refuse to agree."
The gloom on Si Jingxu's face vanished. He grabbed Yan Buyu's hand and kissed it lightly. "No, Brother Jingxu isn't that kind of person."
His eyes and brows were softer than usual, and his voice was irresistibly alluring.
Yan Buyu blushed again, much to her chagrin.
We need to find some other topic to talk about.
She took out the lucky clover. "You said you didn't believe in these things, so why did you pick it up?"
Si Jingxu smiled handsomely, "I don't believe it, but my girlfriend does. I have to protect your hope."
He remembered the bright eyes in the child's eyes as he lay on the ground picking grass and held it up.
I couldn't bear to see her disappointed.
His casual remark landed heavily on Yan Sheyu's heart.
Her nose tingled with emotion. "Thank you so much, Brother Jingxu. If it weren't for you, I would have been the one who got hit."
"Okay, don't worry, your boyfriend isn't the kind of person to take advantage of kindness. Don't bring this up again." Si Jingxu was in a great mood, touching her hand and face intermittently.
Yan Buyu blushed from head to toe, and pushed Si Jingxu's hand away. "There's one more."
"Okay, go ahead and say it." Si Jingxu was willing to discuss it.
"You...you can't keep doing this." His hands felt like they were electrified; the skin he touched felt tingly and numb.
"What can't I do?" Si Jingxu asked knowingly, tilting his head to tease her.
"It's like holding hands or touching faces," Yan Buyu said, blushing. "We still need to keep our distance."
What kind of talk is that?
"You mean, we're already in a relationship, but you're going to keep your distance from me?" Si Jingxu laughed in exasperation. "Listen to yourself, is this a serious statement?"
“Well, at the very least, you can’t be physically abusive all the time,” Yan Buyu backed down, “especially when my family might be around.”
Si Jingxu chuckled, "Why don't I ask for permission before I start touching you?"
“Okay.” Yan Buyu readily agreed, “We’ll do as you say, Brother Jingxu.”
Si Jingxu closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and felt pain even in his shoulders.
Why do you have to talk so much when you're already full?
Silly children can't tell the difference between right and wrong.
He got himself caught up in it too.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Yan Buyu leaned closer. "Where does it hurt? Your shoulder or your foot?"
Si Jingxu looked over with a mournful expression, her voice hoarse, "It hurts everywhere."
He wasn't stupid; he suspected he was faking it.
But she knew all too well how much it hurt when the stone hit her. She coaxed her softly, "The painkillers won't take effect for a while. How about I find you a movie or TV show to distract you?"
That's exactly what she did.
When she experiences menstrual cramps and painkillers don't provide quick relief, she watches TV dramas or variety shows.
"I don't watch that stuff." Si Jingxu wanted her to comfort him, and his tone became even more pitiful. "Can I hold your hand?"
Like a big, pitiful dog begging for a hug.
Yan Buyu couldn't help but burst out laughing.
No one had ever told her that Si Jingxu was so adorable.
She reached out and gently placed her hand on the back of his, rubbing it lightly. "Approved."
Si Jingxu smiled, then turned and grasped her hand, their fingers intertwined.
"President Si, President Shen and Young President Shen are here." Zhou Ze knocked on the door and came in, just in time to see the two of them holding hands sweetly.
Without a word, he quickly withdrew his hand, stood up, took two steps back, and leaned against the window.
Its speed is comparable to that of a cheetah.
