Chapter 190 I Can Do It
"Get out!" Long Yu said viciously.
The driver of the white car got in gratefully and sped away.
She was flustered and speechless; heaven knows how afraid she was of these things while driving.
"It's alright. Driving speeds in the city aren't high, so even if there's a minor collision, it'll be nothing," Shen Yanzhou coaxed softly. "Besides, that driver clearly did it on purpose."
"Intentionally hit me?" Yan Buyu had only heard about these things online. She didn't drive much and had never encountered them herself. "Nian Ke also said that people always cut her off when she drove her pink car on the road."
“There are quite a few people like this,” Shen Yanzhou said, not avoiding the issue. “It’s okay if you encounter them. As long as you ensure your own safety, you don’t need to worry about anything else.”
If you need to change your car, change it; if you need to pay compensation, pay it.
"Call your older brother immediately, you don't need to worry about anything."
“You can call me too,” Long Yu said as he got into the car. “Brother Long is happy to handle these kinds of things.”
"Are you scared?" Si Jingxu asked softly. "Have the driver come back and take you and your brother home. Long Yu and I will ride in our own car."
The sudden stop on the brakes was truly terrifying.
Including the last few minutes, I felt panicked, my hands trembled, and I broke out in a cold sweat.
But after recovering, there was nothing wrong.
My brother is right. People like me who follow the rules shouldn't be afraid of those who don't.
Drive your car carefully, and solve problems when they arise.
Otherwise, there would be even more bad drivers on the street, and they would only bully more girls who drive peacefully.
“It’s okay,” Yan Buyu said, gripping the steering wheel again. “I can handle it.”
For the next part of her journey, she first took Long Yu home, and then took Si Jingxu home.
Finally, he drove his car leisurely, carrying Shen Yanzhou, back home.
“Buyu is amazing; he learns everything very quickly,” Shen Yanzhou said, much more relaxed than before. “You have a strong ability to heal yourself; your older brother is proud of you.”
“Big brother, if you say that, I’ll feel proud too.” Yan Buyu drove the car into the garage, and the black Bentley stopped next to his pink car. “I’m pretty good at backing into parking spaces now, aren’t I?”
Shen Yanzhou patted her head. "You're doing great. You've got a personal driver now."
After Si Jingxu returned home, he was almost sober.
Judging by the time, Yan Buyu should cook some noodles for Shen Yanzhou before washing up and looking for him.
He simply took his phone into the bathroom, just in case.
Just as I was finishing the wash, my phone rang.
He raised an eyebrow. Little Feather has really shown some promise today.
He picked up his phone in a cheerful mood, but his smile froze. "Why are you making a phone call in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?"
Long Yu chuckled, "You answered so quickly, were you waiting for your sister's call? I won't say much, just a couple of words, won't keep you waiting."
"Speak." Si Jingxu pulled a bath towel over his shoulder.
"Don't mention that car your sister was in. I had someone check it out. The driver has quite a few criminal records, but the damage wasn't serious, so it's unlikely to cause any trouble."
"Just make a scene, that'll do." Si Jingxu wanted to punch someone just thinking about how Yan Buyu had turned pale with fright.
“This is what I wanted to tell you,” Long Yu said, taking a drag of his cigarette. “Don’t you think it’s karma? Not long after he cut off his sister’s car, he got into a car accident after crossing two intersections. He’s in the hospital now, and it’s probably pretty serious.”
Such swift retribution?
Is it really that much of a coincidence?
Suddenly, the image of a black Land Rover without license plates flashed through Si Jingxu's mind.
After the driver of the white car left, it sped off in the same direction.
Accident or enemy?
"Alright, that's all for now. I'll keep an eye on things and not take up any more of your time. I've been so busy getting you drunk today that I haven't let you say a few words to your sister yet. Let's make it up to her later."
Long Yu's gloating voice was cut off.
At the same time, Yan Buyu sent a message asking if he had fallen asleep.
Si Jingxu, who wanted to sweet-talk his girlfriend and seek comfort, temporarily put the matter out of his mind.
At 12:30 a.m., when everything should have been quiet, Song Jingyi's living room was bustling with activity.
"Huh?! You broke his leg? How could you be so useless?" Ah Cheng's chatter was as loud as five people combined.
Mu Zi stood in the middle with her arms crossed, not even glancing at him.
Acheng continued his rant, "I told you women that you're too soft-hearted. If I were in that situation, I'd blow him to bits on the spot, leaving only some shards and a broken leg. You know, you don't know how many precious little girls the boss has, do you?"
"Shut up." Song Jingyi flicked his cigarette ash. "If you make any more noise, get out."
Ah Cheng grumbled and shut his mouth, reluctantly sitting cross-legged on the sofa.
“Brother Yi, there are a lot of security cameras there. It would be very troublesome to cause an explosion,” Mu Zi explained.
Song Jingyi raised his hand to stop him, "You did very well. This is the capital city, not some lawless area. Cutting off a child's car is a fair deal, even if it means breaking a leg."
Acheng's whining grew louder.
Let him go, he'll make sure no one notices. Mu Zi is one of them, what was it again?
Oh right, womanly compassion.
"Tell me, how was she today?" Song Jingyi gestured for Mu Zi to speak.
"Miss is very happy today. Si Jingxu invited her to lunch, and she was noticeably more lively in the afternoon than in the morning."
With his eyes closed, Song Jingyi followed Mu Zi's description as if he were witnessing her perfect day.
It was a wise choice to have Mu Zi follow Yan Buyu.
Previously, when A-Dong was assigned to accompany him, his daily itinerary consisted of: what time he got on the bus, what time he got off the bus, what time he left home, and what time he returned home.
Women are indeed very perceptive; they even observe whether a woman is happy or not.
"Hmm, very good," Song Jingyi said, opening his eyes. "From now on, you and Adong will stay with her and protect her."
"Yes, Brother Yi."
Mu Zi is gone.
A bald man popped up next to Song Jingyi and said, "I want to go too, boss. Let me go with her for two days. I guarantee I'll remember more details than Mu Zi. I'll tell you everything about what the little girl eats and drinks, what time she goes to the bathroom, and whether she poops or peees."
Song Jingyi lowered his eyes and stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray.
"Acheng, come here." His voice was flat.
Ah Cheng chuckled and leaned closer, "Boss, you agree, right?"
Song Jingyi moved with lightning speed. Before Acheng could react, he grabbed the back of Acheng's neck, lifted his head up, and then forcefully pulled it down.
With a 'bang', A-Cheng's forehead hit the wooden tabletop.
He grunted, got up, and stepped aside, standing ramrod straight.
Blood trickled down his brow bone, but he didn't dare raise his hand to wipe it away. "I'm sorry, boss."
"I'll only say this once, since you've been with me since you were little," Song Jingyi said calmly, without any expression. "Watch your mouth when you talk to her. Go and learn how to respect women."
"Yes, boss, I understand." Acheng didn't chatter as usual, took a few steps back, and turned to leave.
"Chen Mo," Song Jingyi called out.
"Brother Yi".
"Backup gift, I'm going to visit Ling Huiwen tomorrow."
"Yes, Brother Yi, are there any requests?"
Song Jingyi thought for a moment, then smiled slightly, "Send some of my mom's favorite foods."
