Chapter 30 The Villain Accuses First

Chapter 30 The Villain Accuses First

Yan Buyu was truly hungry.

I was just thinking of asking Aunt Jiang to cook noodles for me, but now that there's something ready, it saves me the trouble of troubling my family.

When I sat down at the restaurant, I was greeted by a heavy insulated bag containing six small lunchboxes.

Open them one by one.

He remained silent.

Did your aunt just make this casually?

Four dishes and a soup plus a box of rice?

Even the late-night snacks at Si Jingxu's house are so elaborate?

But I must say, it smells really good.

Longjing shrimp, tomato beef brisket, crab meat lion's head meatballs, stir-fried bamboo shoots, plus a bowl of pickled bamboo shoot soup.

My stomach started rumbling.

Apart from the stir-fried bamboo shoots, the other dishes suited her taste perfectly.

Suddenly I realized that one box of rice wasn't enough.

A mouthful of rice paired with a bite of lion's head meatball filled my stomach a little, and my irritability dissipated somewhat.

We still need to eat our fill.

He sighed silently.

A soft laugh came from behind, "Eating such a satisfying midnight snack instead of sleeping so late at night."

"Brother, you're back." Yan Buyu turned his head and saw Shen Yunqi, who was slightly drunk and had several bright red marks on his neck.

He paused without saying a word, then looked away.

He and Wang Yaqi have already reached this point.

Shen Yunqi casually pulled out the chair next to her and sat down. "What do you want to eat? Give me something to eat."

"Oh, I'll go get you some bowls and chopsticks."

He got up and grabbed a set of cutlery, then shared more than half of the rice with him. "Eat up."

Shen Yunqi didn't stand on ceremony with her, shoveling rice into his mouth and picking up a large mouthful of beef.

"Who cooked this? It tastes pretty good. It's not from our family." Shen Yunqi mumbled through his mouth, chewing his food.

"Hmm, someone gave it to you. Eat slowly." Yan Buyu pushed the pickled bamboo shoots and pork soup in front of him. "Here, take this."

Shen Yunqi stopped eating, glanced at his younger sister, took a sip of soup, and casually asked, "Buyu, don't you like Qiqi?"

Yan Buyu, chewing on a shrimp, turned to look at him, puzzled. "Why do you say that?"

“Sigh,” Shen Yunqi said without looking at her, and took another bite of rice. “Qiqi said that when I wasn’t around, you treated her… never mind, I won’t say anything more.”

That half-finished sentence is infuriating.

Yan Buyu put down his chopsticks, his expression turning cold. "What did she say?"

Shen Yunqi swallowed what was in his mouth before looking at Yan Buyu. "It's nothing, Buyu. Do you feel hostile towards her because you think she took your brother away? Don't worry, you will always be your brother's good sister, forever. No one will ever take your brother away."

He understood without saying a word.

The guilty party accuses the innocent first.

Fearing that she would be the first to complain, Wang Yaqi twisted the truth to her brother and smeared her reputation.

As it turned out, my brother actually believed it.

A surge of anger rose within me, with nowhere to vent it.

He never speaks his mind to his own people, but he always says whatever comes to mind: "Brother, your girlfriend is a bad person. She's two-faced. When you're not around, she treats me terribly and makes sarcastic remarks, saying that I only rely on you. Now she's trying to play the victim."

Shen Yunqi was taken aback; this was exactly what Wang Yaqi had said about her.

My younger sister, whom I raised myself, isn't the type to lie.

But Wang Yaqi cried very pitifully today, and her delicate and touching demeanor didn't seem like an act.

He couldn't tell for a moment who was telling the truth.

Yan Buyu was a little angry, angry at Wang Yaqi, and even more angry at Shen Yunqi.

She suddenly stood up and snorted coldly, "You're a fool to believe her and not me, brother."

He took two steps and then turned back, snatched the bowl and chopsticks from Shen Yunqi's hands, and said fiercely, "I wouldn't even feed my food to a dog!"

This was the first time Yan Buyu had ever gotten so angry since they met.

She was so angry that she wouldn't even feed him.

Shen Yunqi smacked his lips.

He didn't say he didn't believe her.

The phone rang twice; it was a voice message from Wang Yaqi.

"Honey, you're not angry with your sister, are you? Don't yell at her. She's just too dependent on you, so she's hostile towards the girls around you. Ultimately, it's because she's too close to you. You need to teach her a lesson."

"Also, your sister might argue with you, saying that I treated her badly. You have to understand that she's young and doesn't know how to handle her relationship with you. It's normal for her to throw mud at me. Don't be angry, just go along with her. We have to learn to get along well."

Shen Yunqi's brows furrowed more and more tightly.

Wang Yaqi accurately predicted Yan Buyu's behavior.

Furthermore, upon closer examination, something about what she said didn't make sense.

Her words implied that Yan Buyu's feelings for him went beyond those of a brother and sister.

I picked up my phone and dialed directly. The other end answered quickly, "Baby."

Shen Yunqi tapped the table. "What do you mean by that?"

Wang Yaqi paused, "Honey, is your little sister angry with you?"

“Don’t talk about that,” Shen Yunqi interrupted her. “You think my sister sees me as more than just a brother, right?”

“Not entirely,” Wang Yaqi’s voice was still sweet. “You and your sister have a good relationship and have been together for so many years. She’s young and has never been in a relationship. It’s normal for her to have feelings for the opposite sex that she’s close to.”

“Wang Yaqi,” Shen Yunqi’s voice turned cold, “watch your words. Buyu and I are just like siblings. She only sees me as family, nothing more. She’s young, and it’s inappropriate for you to talk to her like that. I don’t want to hear such things again.”

Wang Yaqi's heart sank; she had said the wrong thing.

In Shen Yunqi's heart, Yan Buyu was still more important than himself.

Fortunately, she didn't like Shen Yunqi; she only liked his money.

For the sake of money, saying a few sweet words is no big deal. "Okay, okay, don't be angry. I misspoke. I just care about you too much. I was just jealous for no reason. Okay, baby, don't be angry. How about this, I'll make you noodles tomorrow, okay?"

Shen Yunqi hung up the phone, looked at the cold food on the table, and looked up at the upstairs.

I don't know if she's full yet.

He then chuckled softly twice; he didn't get angry, he just cleared away the dishes.

His sister has been this cute since she was a child.

Who knows which bastard will benefit in the future?

She was sitting on the bed, trying to comfort herself, when there was a knock on the door.

I have a pretty good idea who it is.

That doesn't make sense.

But the knocking was persistent, and fearing it would disturb Shen Yanzhou, she reluctantly opened the door.

Shen Yunqi, dressed in a floral shirt, stood outside the door with a bottle of hot milk in his hand. He grinned and said, "Didn't you eat enough earlier? I heated up some milk for you. Drink it before you go to sleep."

"I won't drink it!" Yan said angrily, arms crossed over his chest. "Give it to your girlfriend who's twisting the truth!"

Shen Yunqi smiled even more brightly, "Alright, don't be angry. I believe you, not her. She's just afraid that I'll focus all my energy on you and ignore her. She's just jealous."

"You two can talk however you want, it's none of my business!" Yan Buyu said, still feeling unsatisfied. "Anyway, I still have my older brother!"

After saying that, he slammed the door shut.

Shen Yunqi's nose almost got damaged.

Well, I still have to coax her, otherwise such a good sister will just be a bargain for Boss Shen.
