Chapter 385 You're just too eager to prove yourself.

Chapter 385 You're just too eager to prove yourself.

Shen Buyu scratched his palm and said the same thing again, "I haven't even graduated from university yet, you guys are thinking too far ahead."

“Anyway, you can’t listen to him,” Si Jingxu tilted his head, his gaze tender and affectionate. “I want a hug.”

"Do you want some water?" Shen Buyu pretended not to hear. "I'll get you some water."

Si Jingxu leaned back lazily in his chair, one hand resting on the back, watching with a smile as his little feather fled in panic.

There were just too many people; otherwise, she wouldn't have been so shy.

"Stop looking, my sister went to walk the dog." Song Jingyi walked over and filled Si Jingxu's glass with wine. "Drink up, Jingxu."

Si Jingxu chuckled lightly, "Sometimes I really feel that you and she are truly siblings, you two are exactly alike when it comes to teasing people."

Song Jingyi liked this way of putting it: "My sister is still too gentle. It would be better if she were a little fiercer."

Girls are gentle and weak, and everyone wants to bully them.

Si Jingxu raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

Actually, Little Feather is getting fiercer.

She calls herself by her full name much more often now.

Last time he was mean to Qin Nianke, Xiao Yu Mao yelled, which startled him.

He didn't tell anyone about this.

He secretly went home and opened a bottle of champagne.

Shen Buyu was playing with the puppy in the yard, and Shen Zhiye was keeping her company.

"So, you've already conducted one round of selection, and there are still more than thirty students competing for it, right?"

“Yes, Dad,” Shen Buyu sighed. “Next Monday is another round of written tests, followed by an oral exam.”

Shen Zhiye frowned. "It must be so hard."

It's just two learning opportunities, not even internships, yet it puts so much pressure on the kids.

“Don’t be so nervous,” Shen Zhiye said. “It’s just a learning opportunity, not an internship. They only look at grades, and your grades are fine.”

"It's hard to say," Shen Buyu said, stroking Jinbao absentmindedly. "I'm still a little nervous. My classmates all say they don't care and aren't studying, but they're all really working hard behind the scenes. I'm not sure what to do."

“No problem,” Shen Zhiye encouraged her. “You’re even bringing a tutor with you when you go out to play. You’re much more demanding than them.”

Shen Buyu chuckled. "Dad, I need a prize to motivate myself."

Shen Zhiye's eyes lit up. Had his daughter finally asked him for something?

"Yes, yes, yes! Whatever you want, Dad will prepare it for you."

"If I get that chance, Dad, will you treat me to ice cream?"

Shen Zhiye was a little disappointed; it was too small. "How about I open an ice cream shop for you at home?"

“I don’t object, but Mom and my brother might disagree.” Shen Buyu shrugged. “Are you going to talk to Mom?”

Shen Zhiye paused, then said, "Never mind, let's go eat out."

Shen Buyu concealed his nervousness very well.

She hadn't mentioned it to anyone except Shen Zhiye.

But someone still discovered the clues.

Early Monday morning, Shen Yunqi knocked on his sister's door.

He urged her, still half asleep, to wash up and change her clothes.

Thinking she was late, Shen Buyu didn't even check her phone and hurriedly went to pack up.

After she finished her work, she glanced at her watch; it was six o'clock.

Six o'clock? ??

"Shen Yunqi!! Why did you wake me up at 5 a.m.?!"

She thought it was a cloudy day, but it turns out it's just too early and the sky hasn't brightened yet.

Shen Yunqi's shoulders trembled with laughter. "We'll be late if we oversleep. Let's go."

Shen Buyu stood at the door with his bag on his back and smiled.

Shen Yunqi got a bicycle.

It's the brand that they had at home when they were kids.

Shen Yunqi took a long stride, braced himself on the handlebars, and smiled nonchalantly, "Get in, little meatball."

"You're the little meatball." Shen Buyu laughed as she sat in the back seat, tightly gripping Shen Yunqi's clothes.

Just like when we were kids.

"What do you want for breakfast? Fried dough sticks, fried pancakes, or sweet cakes and steamed buns? Do you want ramen?" Shen Yunqi slowly rode his bicycle to the morning market street they used to frequent when they were children.

"Anything's fine with me, everything smells delicious." Shen Buyu suddenly pointed to a spot, "Sweet rice cake with tofu pudding."

"Let's go." Shen Yunqi kicked the pedal twice.

The stall was packed with people, and all the seats inside were occupied.

Several small low tables were placed at the entrance.

Shen Buyu sat on the small stool and looked at Shen Yunqi with a smile, "We've both grown up, but the stool hasn't."

Shen Yunqi stretched out his trouser leg. "If this thing gets too long, would you still dare to sit on it? Hurry up and eat."

The morning market is the place with the most local flavor.

The sounds of vendors hawking their wares could be heard everywhere, noodle shop chefs stood at the doorway pulling noodles to attract customers, and the aroma of fried meatballs would occasionally waft into the nostrils.

Shen Buyu took two sips of tofu pudding. "Why are you up so early?"

"To ease the tension of a certain child," Shen Yunqi took a bite of the sugar cake and glanced at it, "the fillings in sugar cakes are so small now."

"Who's nervous?" Shen Buyu straightened up and looked around. "Who? Who is it?"

"Don't bother looking, he's an idiot." Shen Yunqi chuckled. "Are you nervous?"

Shen Buyu snorted with a sullen face, "I'm an idiot."

“Actually, I was nervous the first time I went to sign the contract.” Shen Yunqi stopped teasing her. “But you were with me the whole time, so I thought I had to stand up for myself in front of you, and then I wasn’t nervous anymore.”

"I feel like I'm a failure. I was just taking the exam." Shen Buyu sighed and put the spoon down against the rim of the bowl.

“You’re just too eager to prove yourself.” Shen Yunqi put down his chopsticks and looked at his little sister. “Pressure will naturally make you nervous.”

He's been through it all; he knows it all too well.

Everyone around me is exceptionally talented.

I wanted to achieve something quickly so that I wouldn't feel ashamed when I stood with them.

"Hmm," Shen Buyu hummed in response.

Her brothers are all so wonderful.

For her right now, getting this opportunity to learn in the translation department seems to be a new starting point.

New proof.

“You’re already amazing,” Shen Yunqi said, raising his hand to gently pinch the tip of her nose. “No one’s child gets scholarships every year. Don’t just focus on their strengths; look down at your own shining points too.”

Shen Buyu felt a little better.

"Brother, why don't I eat first, and you can praise me while you're at it?" Shen Buyu picked up his spoon again, taking a bite of sweet rice cake and a bite of tofu pudding.

Knowing that he had coaxed her back, Shen Yunqi felt relieved.

It was worth it for him to set eight alarms and get up at five o'clock.

As Shen Yunqi rode his bicycle to the school gate, he magically pulled a bottle of yogurt out of his pocket.

"Here, have some nutrition."

He smiled faintly.

Clutching the yogurt tightly, I walked towards school.

When she was little, she was in poor health, and her mother always tried to help her improve her health.

Drink one bottle of pure milk or yogurt every day.

Sometimes my brother doesn't drink.

At first, she thought her brother didn't like drinking it, but later she found out that he did it to save money for their mother.

It was only provided for her.
