Chapter 492 Song Jingyi's IF Route (12)
Shen Yunqi could tell from her expression that she was tired.
He is not a good person and does not do good deeds.
But the girl in front of me seems different.
He took off his leather jacket and threw it on the ground backwards. "Kid, sit there."
Song Tingyu turned her head, blinked, and after only a second of consideration, said, "Thank you, brother."
Shen Yunqi felt a tightness in his chest; something was off.
"You don't look like someone from the North," Shen Yunqi asked. "Are you here to study?"
"No, I came to meet an online friend," Song Tingyu answered honestly.
Shen Yunqi frowned deeply. "Aren't you afraid of being scammed? Don't you know how sophisticated scams are these days? What if they kidnap you and sell you abroad?"
Song Tingyu would find it annoying if others lectured or criticized her.
But she inexplicably felt a fondness for this older brother in front of her.
“I came with my family and we weren’t scammed. My online friend is just a young girl.”
"What do you mean you can't fake it? You just came here like that, all naive and clueless?" Shen Yunqi asked, sounding like a worried old father.
Song Tingyu lowered her head and remained silent.
Shen Yunqi touched the tip of his nose, realizing he might have been meddling too much. He coughed lightly, "Um, you're in high school?"
"Ah, first year of high school." Song Tingyu looked up. "Brother, what about you?"
"Sophomore year."
"Why aren't you studying properly and instead coming here to drink?" Song Tingyu retorted.
"Me? I did go, but it wasn't...it was the weekend, wasn't it?" Shen Yunqi became more and more uncertain as she spoke.
"You don't study properly," Song Tingyu pouted, "and you're still blaming me."
Shen Yunqi had no way to refute it.
How did I get scolded by a child?
After being sleepy for half an hour, the two talked a lot.
The moment the elevator doors opened, I felt like I hadn't had enough.
"Don't meet people you met online anymore. There are too many bad people around," Shen Yunqi said earnestly. "They specifically target people like you who are good-looking and naive."
“I’m cunning,” Song Tingyu said. As she stood up, she first lost her balance because her legs were numb, and then she twisted her ankle.
She bent over, grimacing.
"What's wrong? Is your leg numb?" Shen Yunqi leaned down to look at her.
"I sprained my ankle."
Shen Yunqi: ...Still an idiot.
He picked up the leather jacket that had been lying on the ground, turned the side that had been touching the ground towards himself, and draped it over his back.
He then squatted down in front of Song Tingyu and said, "Get on."
What are you doing?
"I'll carry you, you silly girl. I'm in a good mood today, so I'll take you to your family. Get on." Shen Yunqi said without turning his head.
“I’m not a little fool,” Song Ting said in a puffed-out voice, then jumped onto Shen Yunqi’s back.
Shen Yunqi was pressed down slightly, and chuckled, "Not a little fool, but a little meatball."
From afar, Song Tingyu could see that the door to her and Qin Nianke's private room was wide open, and several people were standing at the door.
"It's over," she muttered to herself.
"What's wrong?" Shen Yunqi glanced at him and immediately understood. "Did you run away from home without your family's knowledge?"
The person behind remained silent.
Shen Yunqi got a little angry. "You're such a child, you're infuriating! Fine, I'll go over there and explain to them that you were trapped in the elevator and didn't go out running around."
“You don’t look like a good person, but you’ve done a pretty good job.” Song Tingyu blurted out.
Shen Yunqi is a bit of a joke. Doesn't he seem like a good person? Where?
Inside the private room, Qin Nianke stood to one side, sobbing uncontrollably.
Acheng stood on the other side with a bruised and swollen face.
Song Jingyi and Si Jingxu sat on the sofa with sullen faces.
"Young Master Si, President Song, we're checking the surveillance footage. We'll have the results soon. It's absolutely safe here. Miss will be fine," the manager said softly, sweat beading on his forehead.
"Brother Yi, Miss is here." Chen Mo gestured for the people at the door to disperse.
Song Jingyi looked up and was stunned for a moment.
What a coincidence!
"Hi~ Brother." Song Tingyu gave Shen Yunqi a fawning smile as she rode on his back.
Song Jingyi wanted to laugh, but he suppressed it.
"Young Master Shen, what's wrong with you...?" The manager's forehead twitched.
What's my fortune today? Why are all these gentlemen gathered together?
"Are you her brother? She sprained her ankle, come and help her up," Shen Yun asked Song Jingyi.
"What happened?" Song Jingyi immediately got up, caught his sister, helped her sit on the sofa, and squatted down to check her ankle.
“She went to the restroom, went to the wrong exit, took the southernmost elevator, and got stuck,” Shen Yunqi explained for her. “Her leg went numb, and she twisted her ankle.”
"Thank you, Yunqi." Song Jingyi stood up.
Shen Yunqi was taken aback. "You know me?"
"I've heard of the renowned Second Young Master of the Shen family," Song Jingyi said with a smile. "Thank you for taking care of my sister."
“I’m leaving,” Shen Yunqi turned around, then came back. “You’re her brother, you have to keep an eye on her. It’s scary that a minor has come all this way to meet someone she met online. If something happens, do you think you can afford to regret it?”
Song Jingyi nodded slightly. "Thank you."
Knowing he had said too much, Shen Yunqi was too embarrassed to say anything more, so he waved and left.
"Qin Nianke," Si Jingxu called out coldly.
Qin Nianke was startled. "I was wrong, cousin."
Only then did Song Tingyu have time to look at the very handsome man.
No wonder Nian was afraid of him; his dark face is quite frightening now.
“Um, Cousin Nianke, this isn’t her fault. I don’t know the way and didn’t know the restroom had two entrances. Plus, the elevator was broken. She’s not responsible.”
Si Jingxu turned his head to the side, and the girl was looking at him with her head tilted to the side.
Those bright, stubborn eyes were silently accusing themselves.
It was as if if he said another word to Qin Nianke, she would curse him the next second.
He chuckled softly, "Well, I won't talk about her anymore."
Qin Nianke stopped crying. Is it over?
"Young Master Si, thank you for your help today. I've found the person, so I won't bother you any longer." Song Jingyi said as he stood up to take his leave.
Si Jingxu stood up. "Jingyi, my mother and Aunt Qingzhi have such a good relationship, and our two families are old friends. There's no need to be so polite."
Song Jingyi sneered inwardly, "What a fake man."
Ultimately, they couldn't escape the arrangements of fate.
I just didn't expect this day to come so soon.
So annoying.
Before he could speak, Si Jingxu shifted the conversation to Song Tingyu, "Jingyi, this is...my younger sister?"
Song Jingyi never mentioned in public that Song Tingyu was a relative's child.
He is now capable of standing up to Song Shuchen and protecting his sister.
He was even more unwilling to let his sister suffer such injustice.
He readily admitted, "Yes, it's my sister."
However, he didn't give Si Jingxu any more time. He walked up to Song Tingyu and squatted down. "Get on, brother will carry you home."
After saying goodbye to Qin Nianke, Song Tingyu obediently did as she was told.
Si Jingxu stood at the door, watching them leave.
Qin Nianke said in a soft voice, "Cousin, I want to go home too."
"What's her name?" Si Jingxu asked.
“Tingyu, Song Tingyu.”
“Listen to my words…” Si Jingxu murmured a few times, and a different feeling arose within him.
At this moment, knowing she was in the wrong, Song Tingyu leaned on Song Jingyi's broad back, turned her head to look at his profile, and said guiltily, "Brother, when did you arrive?"
