Chapter 148 Just call me Grandpa
Si Jingxu waited so long that even the flowers withered.
At 2 PM, I finally got to eat the dumplings my girlfriend brought me—dumplings she made herself, which I couldn't stand up to, but were incredibly delicious.
"Brother Jingxu, this box has beef filling, and that one has seafood. Which one do you like?" Yan Buyu opened the food box and introduced it to him.
Si Jingxu wiped his hands, picked up a dumpling, and took a bite.
"Delicious and beautiful." He chewed slowly, his eyes fixed on Yan Buyu, unsure whether he was referring to the dumplings or the person.
He remained silent, his face slightly flushed.
"Ahem," Shen Yunqi coughed lightly, pretending to check the injury as he leaned closer, "How have you been feeling these past two days, Young Master Si?"
Shen Yanzhou also took two steps and stepped aside to block his sister. "Jingxu, the doctor said you're fine. Why aren't you home resting?"
Si Jingxu ate another dumpling and said lazily, "Home isn't as lively as the hospital."
He was so upset.
Why is it so hard to find a relationship?
For the past few days, I had to keep it a secret; I dared not say anything, and I didn't even dare to look at it openly.
Now that it's public, his two older brothers are completely wary of their brother-in-law.
What kind of situation is this?
"Brother Jingxu, there's meat in that pink box down there. Don't just eat dumplings."
Si Jingxu looked over and saw his beloved girlfriend peeking out from behind Shen Yanzhou.
So cute!
I really want to go over and hug her.
But the next second, Shen Yanzhou miraculously moved a step, blocking that cute little head once again.
“Yanzhou,” Si Jingxu said helplessly, “I know that Shen Yanzhou is angry with him.”
His brother-in-law told him he needed to pursue a girlfriend, and he remembered that.
"What do you know?" Yan Buyu was completely confused and peeked out from the other side of Chen Yanzhou again.
"Come here and I'll tell you." Si Jingxu knew that happiness was in his own hands.
His girlfriend is shy, so he can't be shy; he has to bite the bullet and go for it.
“Oh,” Yan Buyu glanced at his older brother and then walked around to Si Jingxu’s bedside, his eyes gleaming with a thirst for gossip. “Tell me.”
Si Jingxu put down his chopsticks, wiped his hands with a towel, reached out and grasped hers, gently squeezing it. His voice lowered, "I'll talk to your older brother."
The next words were interrupted by a knock on the door.
Si Jingxu frowned; they had arrived just in time.
Old Master Si walked ahead, remarking, "So many people."
Without saying a word, they followed the sound and looked in that direction.
The elderly man, with his completely white hair, rosy and radiant complexion, and full of energy, wore a white Zhongshan suit and leaned on a golden nanmu dragon-head cane in his right hand.
His eyes lacked the cloudiness of an elderly person; instead, they possessed a calm and clear quality, sharp and confident.
Si Chengli followed closely behind, his gaze sweeping over his son holding the girl's hand, a smile flashing across his eyes, before looking at Shen Yanzhou, "Oh, isn't this Yanzhou?"
Shen Yanzhou stood upright and nodded politely, "Grandpa Si, Uncle Si."
He then turned his head to call his younger siblings, "Yunqi, Buyu, these two are the old master of the Si family and Chairman Si. Come and greet them."
Shen Yunqi and Yan Buyu obediently greeted each other.
Si Chengli looked at Yan Buyu with eyes full of affection, his tone gentle and smiling, "Little Buyu, why call me Chairman Si? Just call me Uncle Si, like last time."
"Uncle Si," Yan Buyu said softly.
Si Zhendong had met Shen Yanzhou, and he had a very good impression of the young man.
He lamented at the time that it would have been better if this child were from the Si family.
Then he looked at Shen Yunqi next to him. He had never seen him before, but he was good-looking.
Finally, I looked at Yan Buyu. She was thin and small, and looked quite young. She spoke softly and was very beautiful, with eyes that seemed to speak volumes.
This is the girl his grandson has been thinking about for years.
Si Zhendong sat down on the sofa and said to Si Chengli, "Look at other people's children, their siblings have such a good relationship. Our family should learn from them."
Si Chengli smiled and said yes.
"I heard you've returned from England. You're not planning to go back?" Si Zhendong sounded just like a caring elder.
He couldn't even take care of his injured grandson.
“Yes,” Shen Yanzhou replied politely. “From now on, I will focus on China. I will go back when my younger brother is ready to take over.”
Si Zhendong praised Shen Yanzhou highly, saying, "He's really good. He doesn't forget his roots, he can share the burden of the family, and he even knows how to help his younger brother. This kid is really good."
Shen Yanzhou exchanged a few polite words in return.
Yan Buyu looked at his elder brother with increasing admiration.
Everyone who sees him praises him; he's such a wonderful older brother, he's from her family!
Suddenly, Si Zhendong changed the subject, "This is your sister? How old is she? What school does she go to? Where does she go?"
Si Jingxu: Grandpa, you can be a little harder.
Shen Yanzhou: So he came for the younger sister.
Shen Yunqi: This family is really hard to talk to.
The question was directed at Shen Yanzhou, and he naturally answered, "She's my younger sister, twenty years old, a junior in college, studying in Beijing."
“It’s good to stay at home,” Si Zhendong said. He prefers quiet children; his own are all too noisy. “Has anyone bullied you at school? Tell Grandpa. Grandpa still has connections in Beijing.”
Shen Yanzhou glanced at his younger sister, his expression knowing without a word.
He stepped forward and replied respectfully, "Thank you, Master Si. I'm doing well at school; no one is bullying me."
Si Zhendong pretended to be angry, "Hey, it's fine if they call me 'Old Master,' you can just call me 'Grandpa.'"
He said that he had introduced so many girls to his grandson, but his grandson hadn't met a single one of them. He almost thought his grandson was gay.
Now that he's finally met the girl his grandson likes, he'd better treat her well.
Yan Buyu's ears were slightly red, and he stood there helplessly.
Si Jingxu felt sorry for him and called out with a hint of dissatisfaction, "Grandpa."
Shen Yanzhou smiled and blocked Yan Buyu's words, "Grandpa Si, Uncle Si, I brought my younger brother and sister to visit Jingxu. Now that he's alright, I'm relieved. I have things to do at the company, so I'll take them back first so as not to disturb Jingxu's rest."
Si Zhendong wanted to keep the person and chat for a few more minutes.
Si Jingxu said, "Grandpa, Yanzhou has something to do at home, let's talk another time."
The old man finally gave up.
Yan followed behind his older brother like a little tail, politely saying goodbye, and glancing back at Si Jingxu before leaving.
I met his gaze.
He raised an eyebrow at himself with a flourish.
She smiled slightly, turned and left.
The moment the door closed, Si Jingxu's face darkened. "Are you two being silly?"
Si Zhendong sat down by his grandson's hospital bed. "This girl is quite good. She's well-behaved, obedient, and polite. She does whatever her older brother asks her to do."
Si Jingxu picked up a cold dumpling and said, "You've seen her, don't do that again, she's easily embarrassed."
"Could you take him home? Grandpa will prepare a gift for him," Si Zhendong said.
Si Chengli, who had been silent for a while, laughed. "Dad, stop talking. It seems your grandson hasn't been dealt with yet."
