Chapter 199 My Brothers

Chapter 199 My Brothers

Unable to sleep, she tossed and turned, afraid of waking the two people, and feeling inexplicably irritable all day, so she decided to go for a walk.

I carefully got up, put on my big coat, and quietly stepped out of the tent in the dim light of my phone screen.

The lights in the other tents were all off, and she walked even more quietly, afraid that she might fall and make a loud noise that would wake others.

Only after she was far away from the tent did she breathe a sigh of relief and slow down to feel the mountain breeze.

Before I knew it, I had arrived at the place where I had caught fish that afternoon.

She remembered there was a large, flat rock there and wanted to sit on it for a while.

The stone is behind the big tree.

She had just turned around when she paused.

The best spots have been taken.

A robust figure sat there.

The cold moonlight cast a chilly glow, making the scene seem utterly lonely.

The man saw her too.

It was awkward to remain silent. She felt uncomfortable going over there, but going over there would make her seem petty.

When she was caught in a dilemma, a figure beckoned to her, "Little girl, come and sit down."

"Brother Jingyi".

Without saying a word, he slowly walked up from one side and said, "Let's sit for a while. I'll find an excuse to go back later."

Song Jingyi was carrying a wine bottle, with several empty ones lying crookedly beside him, indicating that he had been sitting there for quite some time.

Can't sleep?

"Can't you sleep?"

The two spoke almost simultaneously.

Song Jingyi smiled, the most genuine smile Yan Buyu had ever seen him smile.

"Hmm, I can't sleep." Song Jingyi then asked her, "What about you? Why are you having trouble sleeping?"

"Ah, I... I'm not sleeping well." Yan Buyu wanted to come up with an excuse, but when she looked at Song Jingyi, she suddenly changed her mind.

"You're not sleeping well," Song Jingyi said in a low voice, his long eyelashes casting a shadow. "You're having nightmares."

It is a declarative sentence, not an interrogative sentence.

"Hmm," he replied without speaking.

Song Jingyi's hand, gripping the wine bottle, tightened suddenly, his hand trembling slightly, his knuckles turning white.

The sound of the click was particularly noticeable in the quiet night.

"What's that sound?" Yan Buyu looked toward the suspected source of the sound.

Song Jingyi silently tossed the bottle aside. "It's nothing. Are you hungry?"

"It's okay," Yan Buyu said, but there was one thing: she had been playing games all night and had drunk a lot of beverages, but hadn't eaten much.

"Brother Yi." Chen Mo, who had been silent for a long time, suddenly appeared.

Yan Buyu was startled.

She had no idea there were people in that shadow.

Song Jingyi gave him a reproachful look, "Next time you come out, make some noise first."

Chen Mo felt awkward for a moment, "I'm sorry, Miss Yan, I startled you."

"Oh? It's nothing, I wasn't paying attention." Yan Buyu quickly waved his hand.

"Miss Yan, here's a blanket for you, and here's some food."

Chen Mo walked up to her, put down a bunch of things, and then slipped back into the shadows.

"Ah... um... thank you." Yan Buyu didn't know Chen Mo's exact location, only a general direction.

Song Jingyi was amused by her, "Eat up, and if you're cold, cover yourself with this clean blanket."

“That’s not what I meant,” Yan Buyu quickly explained, afraid of being misunderstood. “I was just thinking that he looks…rough, but he’s so thoughtful.”

She had only exchanged a few words with Song Jingyi, and no one had asked her to do anything.

But the moment Song Jingyi finished speaking, he took all of these things out.

Food, drinks, blankets, and a pink Hello Kitty portable nightlight.

So, even someone as burly as Chen Mo has a little girl inside him, right?

Song Jingyi chuckled softly, his eyes sparkling. "Yes, Amo likes pink too."

Chen Mo's face was dark in the shadows. He didn't like it; those were things Yi-ge had asked him to prepare before they set off.

He likes black because it's dirt-resistant and doesn't show blood.

Without saying a word, he tore open a bag of chocolate bread and chewed it in small bites.

The stream flowed faster at night, adding a touch of mystery and a hint of fear compared to the daytime.

She would never dare to go into the water at this moment.

"Is anyone bullying you at school?" Song Jingyi stopped drinking, stretched out one leg and bent the other half, supporting himself with one hand behind him, his posture relaxed, like a friendly older brother asking a child about their grades.

"No," Yan Buyu smiled, "My brothers are quite capable, no one dares to bully me."

The softest spot in Song Jingyi's heart felt like it had been through a thicket of thorns—it didn't bleed, but it ached terribly.

My brothers

These words, though not heavy, struck my heart, hurting more than bullets.

He looked up at the sky, where the nearly full moon was missing a piece, as if mocking him.

Take a deep breath to suppress the soreness in your nose and heart.

"Little Fish, have you been happy in your life?" Song Jingyi asked, tilting his head.

Yan Buyu was taken aback, meeting his gaze with a mixture of familiarity and confusion.

That's a rather awkward way of putting it.

"No response." Si Jingxu's voice rang out before she could answer.

Yan Buyu turned around in surprise, "Brother Jingxu!"

Si Jingxu, wearing a coat and with his phone's flashlight on, came looking for her.

"Jingxu is here, so you have someone to keep you company. I'm going back." Song Jingyi stood up, nimbly flipped over, and jumped directly off the rock that was more than a meter high.

Yan Buyu's eyes lit up. "Impressive skills!"

Si Jingxu and Song Jingyi met face to face.

"Looking for your sister?" Song Jingyi spoke first. "Go ahead, I'll head back now."

"Brother Jingxu, what brings you here?" Yan Buyu made room for Si Jingxu. "You can sit here."

Si Jingxu walked up to the large rock and sat down, glancing at the things on the ground. "Given by Song Jingyi?"

“Hmm, his subordinate is quite attentive,” Yan Buyu said, his expression suddenly changing. “You’re not jealous, are you?”

Si Jingxu put his arm around her shoulder, holding her tightly in his arms, and looked down with a half-smile, "In your heart, is your brother Jingxu such a petty person?"

He blinked silently, without saying a word.

"You really think so?" Si Jingxu said in a hoarse voice.

The mountain wind was a bit chilly late at night, but his embrace was warm and firm.

She remained silent as he held her tightly, surrounded by his scent.

My heart suddenly started racing.

Si Jingxu looked down at her in his arms. The warm light of the moonlight and the night lamp shone on her face, giving it a warm golden glow.

She was already beautiful, but she became even more radiant and captivating.

Even now, she was wearing a large windbreaker and wrapped in a fluffy pink blanket.

Si Jingxu could no longer restrain himself and leaned down to kiss him.

Having mentally prepared herself, she remained silent, closed her eyes, and obediently complied.

Si Jingxu was incredibly soft-hearted, and his movements became even gentler.

Song Jingyi stood in front of his tent, turned around, and could only see the two people embracing.

He squinted.

“Amo,” he called.

"Brother Yi".

"Go and get those two Shen brothers up." With that, he turned and went into his tent.

Chen Mo also looked in Yan Buyu's direction and instantly understood what Yi Ge meant.

Someone has to take charge.
