Chapter 12

Chapter 12

The princess originally went back to her parents' home to spend a few days with her family during the Mid-Autumn Festival. When she heard the rumors from her personal maid, her expression did not change much, as if the rumors outside were that the man imprisoned in the house was not her husband.

The father-in-law also heard about it and felt humiliated. He came to his daughter angrily and drove her back without saying a word.

The princess returned to the palace in a state of both laughter and tears, and happened to meet Xin Weichen who had just come out. She was a little surprised that there was someone else imprisoned. She suddenly became curious and went to the small courtyard in the back mountain alone.

The two adult men in the room were looking at each other, and Lu Shenxing's balls went limp under King Jing's stare.

"You are actually Changzhou."

King Jing had a strange look on his face. Just now, when he had made a probing move, the opponent's moves were clever and his attacks were sharp. It was exactly the Changzhou he knew.

What about all the changes before that? An illusion?

There was no response. Lu Shenxing's brows were knotted. In order to prevent his identity from being discovered at the critical moment, he asked the system to activate the skill [Invincible Little Overlord] and turned into a brave and powerful general in a second.

Only after the operation was completed did the system inform him that there were side effects and he could not move for a day and two nights.

The sound of footsteps outside made Lu Shenxing and King Jing turn around at the same time.

As soon as the princess entered the courtyard, she saw the door of the house open and two people walked out, one in front and one behind.

"General Chang, why are you here?" The princess looked at King Jing and asked a seemingly innocent question, "What are you doing in the hut?"

Lu Shenxing went to see King Jing with a playful look.

King Jing raised his head and smiled, "General Chang and I are here to discuss the Mid-Autumn Festival banquet tomorrow."

No one would believe this, but the princess made an expression that said "So that's how it is". She was either extremely stupid or extremely intelligent.

"Your Majesty, Princess, I will take my leave."

Lu Shenxing clasped his fists and walked away with a swagger. The princess was a successful woman from beginning to end. She knew what she wanted, what she couldn't have, and what she couldn't have.

At present, King Jing cannot offend his father-in-law. If this matter becomes a problem, he will be busy.

Xin Weichen, full of thoughts, went to find Xin Liang. The rumors he heard on the way made him extremely panicked, but he did not dare to go to the prince to ask for clarification.

"Second brother, this is the medicine I asked someone to make for you." Xin Weichen held the bowl and said with a grin, "It's good for your eyes."

His nostrils flared slightly, and Xin Liang suddenly looked up. Although his eyes were covered with black cloth, he seemed to be staring at Xin Weichen with a gaze as sharp as a knife.

It felt like he was being tortured inch by inch. Xin Weichen became inexplicably frightened, his heart in his throat, and he wanted to escape.

"Third brother, I thought you were just too young to understand the world. It seems that second brother was wrong." Xin Liang didn't turn around. His voice was cold, "Don't let second brother hate you."

Xin Weichen's body swayed and the bowl in his hand fell.

Having misjudged the person again, Xin Liang felt cold all over and his breathing became faster. He walked on the street, tapping his bamboo stick, and sadness rose from the depths of his heart.

The middle-aged man in front was hit on the arm. He roared angrily, "You don't have eyes!"

The man stretched out his voice, "So he's a blind man."

Xin Liang was used to that kind of mocking tone and usually didn't care. But today he felt sour for no reason, and the black cloth on his face became wet.

A tear dripped from under the black cloth, running across the pale cheek, and the wind made it feel even colder.

Lu Shenxing bought two sesame cakes on the way, and when he came back he saw Xin Liang sitting alone at the door of his house, motionless, like a statue, as if in a daze.

"Why don't you knock and go in?"

Lu Shenxing squatted down in front of Xin Liang and glanced at his forehead. "Since you know you are blind, you should be more careful when you walk."

Xin Liang pursed her lips and said nothing.

Lu Shenxing noticed that the person in front of him had a red nose. He frowned and asked, "Have you been crying?"

Xin Liang naturally knew what he was referring to and said calmly, "The wind is strong and it's freezing."

That means crying. Lu Shenxing gave Xin Liang a brotherly hug without saying anything. When he was about to let go, he found that his clothes were grabbed.

"...Don't rub your snot on me."

Looking down at the black hair on his chest, he could feel the rise and fall of his heart. Lu Shenxing shuddered and quickly pulled Xin Liang away, stuffing a sesame cake into his hand and saying, "Here you go."

Xin Liang pinched the hot pancake and said in a voice so low it was almost inaudible, "Can I take back what I said?"

"What?" Lu Shenxing stopped opening the door and looked at the young man behind him curiously. His intention to tease him was dispelled by the other party's pleading look.

"Okay, you can take back whatever you want."

Xin Liang seemed to have waited for what he wanted. The corners of his lips curled up slightly, and he breathed a sigh of relief. The aura of his whole body became much softer.

After taking a bite of the pancake, Lu Shenxing asked vaguely, "Xin Liang, did you ask Tong Yi to do what's being said outside?"

Xin Liang hummed.

"The prince won't do anything to me." Lu Shenxing curled his lips. Once he left, the other party would be waiting for death.

Xin Liang didn't ask any more questions and followed him in.

Wang, who had been bedridden for many years, got out of bed, dressed elegantly and appropriately, and was cleaning flowers and plants in the yard with several servants. They were talking and laughing, and she looked very energetic. Her words and actions did not seem like those of a person who had been ill for a long time.

Lu Shenxing's expression changed slightly, but soon returned to normal.

"Zhou'er is back." Wang's gaze moved from Lu Shenxing to Xin Liang, her eyes kind.

Xin Liang was kept and sat in the hall somewhat stiffly.

Wang waved the servant away and asked, "Has Master Xin married yet?"

Xin Liang replied, "Not really."

"It's Zhou'er's blessing to have met you." Wang sighed, her eyes misting over, unable to discern clearly what was within. "Richness, poverty, marriage, life and death..." She paused, gazing into the distance. "It's all fate."

Xin Liang almost knocked over the teacup by accident.

After taking off his shoes and socks, Lu Shenxing lay down on the bed and couldn't move. There was no sign or hint at all, it just happened out of the blue.

He wanted to open his mouth and call out "Xin Liang", but his tongue was as stiff as stone in his mouth and he had no feeling.

I don't know how long it took before I heard knocking sounds approaching.

Xin Liang walked to his bedside but didn't speak for a long time. Lu Shenxing waited for a while. The warm breath was getting closer and closer to him, almost ready to touch him at any time.

There is a sigh in my ear, helpless, confused, cautious, nervous, painful, and full of many emotions.

"I think I like you."

Lu Shenxing heard it clearly, and the next moment his lips felt wet. The wetness did not disappear immediately, but instead pressed and rubbed gently.

"Can I kiss you? Just once?"

Lu Shenxing cursed in his heart, "Fuck, you're asking me after we've already kissed. Wasn't it just one time? How many fucking times?"

No, the point seems to be wrong.
