Granny Yu came out of Liu Dazhu's house with a very unpleasant expression.
She knew the saying "when people leave, the tea grows cold," but she never expected the tea to grow cold to this extent.
Before leaving, Da Tou held Liu Dazhu's hand and asked him to look after Yu's mother and son.
It's only been a few years, and Liu Dazhu has already turned his back on us.
Now she can only try to stall Tang Liping.
Perhaps, as she said, she was just frightened and will be fine after a while.
"Qingci, you're not eating it again?"
Li Li looked at Su Qingci with a worried expression.
"You haven't eaten for two meals, how can your body take it?"
Su Qingci stared at the food on the table, her face deathly pale. "I can't eat, and I don't dare to eat."
She had just come out of the farm's toilet and was terrified.
Seeing that her partners were all there, Su Qingci explained her plans.
"It just so happens that we've almost run out of food. I'm telling you all that I probably won't be able to eat with you anymore."
"Don't get me wrong, don't think that I'm looking for you guys to team up with just because I'm working in town."
"As you all know, I'm going to work in town soon. I'll go in the morning and come back in the afternoon."
“You guys have to finish your early morning work before you come back for breakfast, but I probably come much earlier than you.”
"I have to finish eating and go to town by six or seven o'clock while you are still working."
"It's also possible that there won't be enough time, so we won't eat."
“I don’t come back for lunch, and I’m not sure when I’ll be back in the evening; it might be early or it might be late.”
"So I thought I'd just make myself something to eat, so you guys don't have to wait for me."
Luo Song and Lu Linping exchanged a glance and both seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
They had wanted to eat separately from Su Qingci for a long time, but they were too embarrassed to say so, since the iron pot they were using was still hers.
Now that Su Qingci has brought it up herself, it has relieved a huge worry for them.
Su Qingci would occasionally add some oil and fat to their meals, and in the beginning, everyone had some money in their hands.
Since I ate it, I ate it.
They've almost run out of money, and they feel bad if Su Qingci cooks something nice for them and they eat it for free.
We're really struggling to afford the money we have to contribute to the family celebrations.
So, they all felt quite pressured eating with Su Qingci.
In the countryside, you can only earn 10 work points a day, which is only four or five cents in cash.
Sometimes they have to split the cost of a meal by two or three cents. If this continues, they won't be able to support themselves even after a year of work.
But we still had to say something polite: "We're not afraid of the trouble. We're free tonight anyway, so waiting won't hurt."
"But let's do it whatever is convenient for you."
"If you feel it's inconvenient, it's fine to separate. We're all friends, and we know what kind of person you are."
"What misunderstanding could there be?"
Su Qingci nodded, "Alright, everyone can talk things out."
After saying that, he pushed his rice bowl into the bowl and let the three of them share it.
She then turned around and went back into the house.
After lying there for a few minutes, I became increasingly irritable.
While everyone was resting after dinner, she took out her bicycle and headed towards town.
It's been a long time since I've been to Old Wei's place.
When I took the Warring States Bronze Dragon away last time, I promised him that I would send him food twice more.
It was midday, and it wasn't market day, so there weren't many pedestrians in the town.
They secretly entered the farm through a secluded alley and began filling their baskets with things.
There were no more chickens or ducks, but we laid out about fifty eggs. Last time we slaughtered a pig, and there was quite a bit of pork.
She no longer looks down on pork raised on animal feed.
They packed over ten pounds of the finest pork belly and foreleg meat.
They also packed two bundles of handmade noodles, three pounds of flour, two cans of youth milk powder, and some green beans, eggplants, and other vegetables.
Old Wei was overjoyed to see Su Qingci.
He lowered his voice and said, "Oh my, Su girl, you've finally arrived."
"I thought you had forgotten about me."
"Come in, come in quickly."
"Congcong, look who's here."
Holding his toy car, Congcong slid off the straw mat.
"Sister Su~"
After shouting, she shyly hid behind her grandfather's bottom.
Su Qingci smiled and took out two White Rabbit milk candies, handing them to him.
Congcong looked up at his grandfather.
"Take it if your sister gives it to you, and say thank you."
Seeing that his grandfather had spoken, Congcong carefully took the candy and said thank you.
Old Wei patted his grandson's head and told him to go play on the mat.
Su Qingci began taking things out one by one.
Looking at the few good pieces of meat, Old Wei licked his lips and carefully pulled a cloth bag out from under the bed.
"I've also received a few porcelain bowls recently, but their quality is so-so."
"I don't know if you want it, but I'll show it to you."
"Yes, why wouldn't I want to?"
Su Qingci glanced at it and saw that there were two plates and a delicate rice bowl.
The plate is from the Guanglichangji brand, and it should be from the late Qing Dynasty, during the Guangxu era.
It has an outer painting, and the color, painting skills, and condition are all good. There are a total of ten blue dragons painted inside and out.
But it should still be quite common now, and many people still have them at home; they're not very valuable.
However, that small bowl turned out to be a Qianlong imperial enamel bowl with apricot blossoms and swallows design.
Su Qingci's little hands trembled slightly with excitement.
It's important to know that porcelain with enamel decoration is inherently of a higher status, unlike other official kiln wares which were born with a prestigious position.
The pigments used in enamel painting at that time came from the West. The production process involved first firing white porcelain in Jingdezhen, then transporting it to Kyoto where it was painted by master painters in the imperial palace, and finally firing it in the imperial palace.
