"Get me a stool, I'll sit here."
When the man saw Si Gui helping him to sit on the table, he quickly stopped and pointed to the corner of the wall.
Su Qingci instantly understood what he meant. He was afraid that others would look down on him because he was sick, so he was actively controlling his distance from others.
I guess he was looked down upon by others because of this.
"Uncle, please sit here!"
The other person waved their hand sheepishly, "I, I'll just sit wherever."
Su Qingci stepped forward and took his other arm for support.
The other person stiffened, looked up at her in surprise, and a hint of sadness flashed in Su Qingci's eyes.
The other person doesn't resemble Su Changqing or even Su Chang'an in the slightest.
He looked at least ten years older than Su Changqing, because he was thin, with loose skin hanging on his face, and his bluish-purple face was full of wrinkles and furrows.
Remembering that Si Gui had previously revealed that his surname was Liao, Su Qingci immediately deflated.
But Si Gui and Su Jindong look too alike, and the coincidence of their names and the fact that the other party wants to buy a long-distance ship is too much. Although Su Qingci was a little disappointed, she decided to wait and see.
"Uncle, how are you feeling?" Su Qingci asked dryly.
"Oh, it's an old problem."
Seeing Su Qingci looking at him, the man sighed and said, "When we were young, we were always at sea. Everyone is in the same situation. As we get older, our whole body aches, our muscles and bones ache."
Hearing his heavy breathing, Su Qingci asked, "Is it decompression sickness?"
The other person nodded. "Yes, he's sleepy, has poor eyesight, feels tightness in his chest, and can't breathe properly."
“Now, our family is relying on Sigui to keep us going. We are so grateful to you this time. If it weren’t for you, our family would have collapsed. Thank you so much.”
Su Qingci quickly shook her head, "Uncle, you're too kind. No matter who it is, they couldn't just stand by and do nothing in this situation."
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Su Qingci got straight to the point, "Uncle, if I may ask, what is your name?"
The man was a little confused, but he honestly replied, "People call me Dazhi Tou. If you don't mind, you can just call me Uncle Dazhi."
Su Qingci's heart skipped a beat. "Uncle Dazhi, please don't be offended. I just wanted to ask, is your formal name the same as your formal name?"
The man paused for a moment, then looked up at the blue sky outside the door. "The book title."
"I haven't used it in so long, I've almost forgotten about it myself."
The man's thoughts drifted back to a long, long time ago, to a time when a boisterous, loud female voice liked to call him by his full name.
With anger.
It looks fierce.
Eager.
Slowly, with gritted teeth.
"Su Changzhi!!!"
"Su Changzhi~"
“Su Changzhi..…”
“Su...Chang...Zhi!”
"I think his name is Su Changzhi!"
Su Qingci's pupils dilated, and she abruptly stood up. "Su Changzhi?"
The man looked at Su Qingci with some surprise, "Yes...yes, wh...what's wrong?"
Looking at the other person's face, which was full of hardships, Su Qingci felt a pang of sadness in her heart.
He said he had almost forgotten his own name, but he hadn't forgotten to try to get home.
"I...."
Su Qingci took a breath. "My name is Su Qingci. My father's name is Su Changqing. I also have a grandmother named... Li Yueniang."
Su Changzhi was taken aback; he didn't know why Su Qingci was telling him all this.
"Oh~"
It took him about five or six seconds to slowly come to his senses. He suddenly looked up at Su Qingci, his eyes flashing with a dazzling light. Then, he stood up shakily, leaning on the table, and asked, "What did you say?"
Su Qingci repeated herself again, word by word, with a nasal tone, "I said, my name is Su Qingci, my father's name is Su Changqing, and I also have a grandmother named Li Yueniang."
Si Gui, standing to the side, was completely bewildered as she watched the two people communicating in sign language.
Liao Fengmei, who was carrying a kettle of hot water, was stunned when she entered the room, and the rattan kettle in her hand crashed to the ground with a bang.
Her worst fears came true.
A loud bang snapped Su Changzhi back to his senses. He looked at his wife at the door and called out to her with concern.
"Feng Mei?"
Liao Fengmei also came to her senses and quickly picked up the thermos from the ground. Fortunately, only the stopper on the spout was loose, and some tea had spilled out. The bottle was not broken.
She forced a smile. "Look at me, so clumsy! Luckily, I was protected by the vines and didn't get hurt. Otherwise, Sister Erying would have scolded me!"
"Sigui, what are you standing there for? Hurry up and put down the bowl and pour the tea. I'll go inside and get the plate."
As she spoke, Liao Fengmei placed the thermos on the table and hurriedly went into the room.
Once inside the room, the smile on her face vanished, replaced by pain and sorrow.
She always knew what her husband was thinking, and she knew that he longed to go home.
When they first got married, she sometimes wondered if she was being too selfish when she saw her husband getting up at night to sigh, as he wouldn't sleep. She was his wife and should support him.
But she was also afraid that if her husband went back, he would never come back, and then what would happen to her and her child?
Two years ago, her husband bought a boat, and everyone was happy except her...
Even after the fishing boat had an accident, she felt relieved, as if a burden had been lifted.
Her husband is very accomplished; he is literate and educated. One can imagine that their family situation over there must be quite good.
