help
“Duke,” Lina said, her eyes red-rimmed, clearly having cried, “I need your help.”
"Help?" Tiff chuckled softly, closed the book in her hand, stood up, and approached her. "What do you need me to do?"
"I would like to ask you to help me erase the record of purchasing poison."
Tiff raised an eyebrow, and Lina explained, "They all know my father died of poisoning, and if they send people to investigate, they'll definitely find out that I bought it."
“Of course,” Tiffany said, a smirk playing on her lips as she looked her over. “However, you’ll need a scapegoat.”
"Who do you want to be your scapegoat?" Tiff's eyes held a hint of mockery.
“Naturally, it’s my uncles and aunts. Whoever talks the most in court will become my scapegoat.” Lina knew she was the first suspect because she had reported that man to the court a few years ago. “You can do it, Lina, don’t let me down.” Tiff pinched her chin, her words sounding like both a question and a threat.
"Don't worry."
"Miss, you're finally back." The maid rushed to Lina's side after she got off the carriage.
Before the maid could speak, Lina turned to her and asked, "Has anyone come to the house?"
The maid hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
Lina walked in; all her relatives were inside, as was the judge who had come to investigate the case.
Lina stared blankly at the judge walking toward her.

Fortunately, when they learned that the lawyer defending her was sent by Tiff, they shut up. Then Lina picked a scapegoat to take the blame for herself, and she was released and successfully inherited the title.
