Chapter 121 Why Don’t I Feel Anything

She remembered that her name was Mingyan, and she had come to Jihua Temple to kill the people there, the enemies who had wiped out her entire family. She couldn't remember anything else.

Leng Yan looked at the Frost Sword in his hand with a cold expression, then got up and got out of bed.

At night, a powerful spiritual power fluctuation suddenly appeared in the backyard of Jihua Temple, instantly waking up Minghui and Minglan who were still asleep.

They hurried out of the house and ran into Mingjing who had just come out. Minglan saw Mingjing and Minghui and asked sharply, "Who of you did this?" But the two people opposite them lowered their heads and said, "Master, I don't know about this matter."

Although Minghui said this, she knew in her heart that it was Mingjing who did it. Although she didn't know why he did it, as long as their goals were the same, it was enough.

Minglan looked at her two disciples viciously and said, "Let me solve this matter first and then I will investigate slowly." After that, she rushed towards the place where the spiritual power was fluctuating.

When Minglan arrived, she saw Leng Yan standing in the open space, with her black hair draped behind her, holding a sword in her right hand, and her expression was as cold as ever.

Leng Yan saw Minglan sweep the Frost Sword in her hand, and a sword energy came towards Minglan. Minglan quickly took out her own dustpan to resist Leng Yan's attack.

But Leng Yan was a cultivator in the middle stage of the Mahayana period, so her attacks were not so easy to block. So Fu Chen's attack was easily broken up when it encountered Leng Yan's sword energy, and then he went straight to slash at Minglan.

Seeing this, Minglan immediately mobilized her spiritual power to resist, but the shield she had formed was shattered by Leng Yan with just one sword strike. Leng Yan then swung another sword, and before Minglan could dodge, she was struck by the sword and sent flying backwards. She finally collided with the wall and spat out a mouthful of blood. Then she dropped her head and fell silent.

Seeing that she didn't move, Leng Yan walked over with some confusion. When she got close to Minglan, she saw her eyes open instantly. A soft sword appeared in the water and stabbed towards Leng Yan.

Leng Yan immediately dodged sideways but her arm was still cut by the sharp blade. Leng Yan frowned slightly and didn't care. Then, without hesitation, she thrust the sword in her hand straight into Minglan's heart, piercing Minglan through.

Now Minglan was completely dead. Seeing this, Leng Yan drew his sword and let his hand hang down. Soon, blood flowed to the back of his hand, then slid down the back of his hand and fell onto the sword, and dripped onto the ground along the tip of the sword.

Leng Yan looked at the dead Minglan in front of her without saying anything. The next moment, the spiritual energy around her began to surge continuously, and in an instant, all living things within 300 meters were wiped out.

Then, her spiritual power gradually stabilized. Leng Yan placed her hand on her chest. She felt so strange. Why did she feel nothing in her heart? It was as if she couldn't feel any emotions at all. Who was she? Why did she appear here? Why did she kill them?

This series of questions lingered in Leng Yan's mind, but her mind was blank and she couldn't figure out the reason.

Finally Leng Yan fainted.

When Wen arrived at Jihua Temple early that morning, he saw this scene: Leng Yan kneeling on a cushion before the Buddha statue. Her features were picturesque, but her expression was cold and distant. A section of her long hair lay on the ground behind her, like the hem of her dress. She looked like a deity from heaven, descended to earth. Holy, aloof, distant, and inviolable.

Wen Shi walked over and called softly, "Yan'er." Leng Yan looked up, her eyes devoid of emotion, filled with aloofness. Leng Yan looked at Wen Shi and asked, "Who are you? Why do you know my name?" Seeing Leng Yan's unfamiliar gaze, Wen Shi reached out and pulled Leng Yan up from her kneeling position on the futon, smiling gently and saying, "I am your husband."

As soon as these words came out, Leng Yan stared at Wen Shi. After a long time, the Frost Sword in Leng Yan's hand stabbed towards Wen Shi.

Wen Shi did not dodge when he saw this. When the tip of Leng Yan's sword was about to pierce his chest, Leng Yan's sword was stopped by a powerful spiritual power and could not move forward even a little bit.

Seeing this, Leng Yan raised her eyes to look at Wen Shi, who still had a gentle smile on his face. Then Leng Yan retracted the Frost Sword and said to Wen Shi, "If you have a brain problem, get treatment as soon as possible."

As she was about to walk out, she was about to walk out. Just as she reached Wen Shi's side, Wen Shi grabbed her wrist. Leng Yan dodged the moment she felt Wen Shi's movement, but Wen Shi was faster than her. Before Leng Yan could react, she was pulled into Wen Shi's arms.

When Leng Yan reacted, she was already in Wen Shi's arms. All she could smell was the faint peach blossom scent on Wen Shi's body. It wasn't unpleasant, but Leng Yan felt disgusted for some reason.

Leng Yan gathered spiritual power in his hands and was about to pat Wen Shi when he felt a touch on his forehead by the person in front of him.

Then Leng Yan felt a sharp pain in her head. The sudden pain made her unable to react and she lost her balance and fell forward. Seeing this, Wen Shi immediately embraced Leng Yan in his arms.

Leng Yan had already adapted to the situation. She rubbed her still aching head with one hand and quickly withdrew from Wen Shi's arms. She pointed the Frost Sword at Wen Shi and asked coldly, "Who are you and what is your purpose?"

If her head hadn't been hurting so much, her sword would have already stabbed Wen Shi.

Wen Shi looked at Leng Yan's reluctant expression and said jokingly, "Yan'er, are you okay now?" Then he walked towards Leng Yan. Seeing this, Leng Yan no longer hesitated and swung out several sword energies despite the severe pain.

But without exception, Wen Shi dodged them all. The last time, Wen Shi disappeared directly on the spot, and the next second Leng Yan quickly flashed to the side.

As she dodged, Wen Shi appeared behind her where she had been standing. Leng Yan felt her blood surge. She had a splitting headache from Wen Shi's previous incident, and now she was forcing herself to use her spiritual energy. This accelerated the flow of Wen Shi's spiritual energy within her, causing her blood to surge.

Then Leng Yan used her sword to prop up the ground and spat out a large mouthful of black blood. Leng Yan held the sword with her hair scattered on her forehead, looking a little embarrassed. But in Wen Shi's opinion, Leng Yan now looked a little more broken. It made people want to stain her.
