Chapter 149 Princess, please trust me a little

Leng Yan returned to the inn and found Qi Zhian still awake, sitting at the table waiting for her. Qi Zhian heard the sound from inside the house and immediately looked over. When she saw Leng Yan, her expression instantly relaxed.

Leng Yan looked at her and asked, "Why aren't you sleeping yet?" Qing Sheng immediately raised a paw and said, "Sister, this bunny knows. This sister is worried about you, so she's sitting here waiting for you to come back."

As soon as these words were spoken, Qi Zhian's face turned red instantly. She covered Qingsheng's mouth and said, "What nonsense are you talking about." While speaking, she looked at Leng Yan carefully, wanting to see Leng Yan's reaction.

But Leng Yan only hummed lightly and said nothing more, not even her expression changing at all. Leng Yan did not take the little rabbit's words to heart. After all, she knew Qing Sheng was a false beast, and false beasts never told the truth.

Just when Qi Zhian felt panicked, Leng Yan said: "Then you go to sleep, I will practice." After that, without waiting for Qi Zhian to react, he put a cushion on the ground and sat down to meditate.

Seeing that Leng Yan ignored her, Qi Zhian had no choice but to climb into bed and go to sleep. She originally thought that she would not be able to sleep tonight, but she fell asleep not long after. When she heard Qi Zhian's steady breathing, Leng Yan opened her eyes quietly in the darkness.

Then her figure flashed and disappeared in the inn. When she appeared again, she was already on the roof of the inn. Leng Yan sent out her spiritual sense and explored the imperial city and figured out the situation.

After she withdrew her consciousness, Tian Dao said, "My lord, you've fallen out with them today. Aren't you afraid they'll threaten you?" A flash of spiritual power flashed through Leng Yan's hand, and a small blue ball of light, transformed from Tian Dao, appeared in her hand. Leng Yan flicked the blue ball of light and said, "Are you crazy? I'm afraid of what they might do."

In her opinion, among Wen Shi and his companions, only Wen Shi still posed a threat to her, and the rest of Qingyu and his companions posed basically no threat to her now.

The small ball of light that Tiandao had transformed into rolled around in Leng Yan's hands, and he said in a rather coquettish tone: "Sir, how is it possible? I am the smartest." Leng Yan poked Tiandao and said as if talking to himself: "I wonder who did you learn this from?"

Tiandao heard it but pretended not to know, so the atmosphere became quiet. Leng Yan looked at the bright moon in the sky, wondering what he was thinking.

After spending half the night on the rooftop of the inn, Leng Yan returned to her room. She looked at Qi Zhian, who was sleeping soundly on the bed, with a calm expression in her eyes. The first time she saw Qi Zhian, she saw everything that had happened to her. Therefore, she knew that Qi Zhian was hiding something from her.

After a long time, Leng Yan closed his eyes again and began to practice. So what if he had concealed something? It had nothing to do with him.

The next day, when Qi Zhian woke up, she found Leng Yan still meditating. The morning light shone through the window onto Leng Yan's face, casting a soft golden glow over her and softening her icy aura. Qi Zhian stared at her, transfixed, until Leng Yan opened her eyes and their gazes met, only then did she react.

Her face turned red. She didn't expect that she would be so stunned by Leng Yan. That would have been fine, but she was caught by Leng Yan. It was so embarrassing. Then she looked at Leng Yan cautiously again, and decided that she was too beautiful to look at. She could never get enough of looking at her. Leng Yan didn't know what she was thinking. She stood up from the futon and asked Qi Zhian if she slept comfortably last night.

To hide her embarrassment, Qi Zhian nodded immediately. Leng Yan didn't ask any more questions, and the surroundings fell silent again. Finally, Qi Zhian asked Leng Yan what her plans were for the day.

Hearing Qi Zhian asking what plans she had, Leng Yan thought for a moment and finally said, "Today I will take you to see the person who replaced your identity." Then he looked at Qi Zhian and asked, "You must go. If you don't want to, you can wait for me in the inn. I will take care of her and then take you to the palace."

When Qi Zhian heard Leng Yan ask this question, she clenched the quilt tightly in her hands, then looked up at Leng Yan and said, "I'll go with you, Yun Qing." She emphasized the last two words deliberately as if to comfort herself.

Leng Yan nodded and said, "Okay, I'll go out first. You get up and wash up." Then she turned and left the room. Watching Leng Yan's skirt brush against the threshold, Qi Zhian felt a sense of emptiness in her heart. Leng Yan went downstairs and ordered some light food for the waiter to bring up later.

After washing up, Qi Zhian ate the breakfast brought by the waiter, then looked at Leng Yan and said, "Yun Qing, I'm fine now. I can leave now."

Leng Yan nodded, put down the teacup in her hand, stood up and left, and Qi Zhian followed immediately. Leng Yan paid the bill and left the inn with Qi Zhian. After leaving the inn, Leng Yan took Qi Zhian to the carriage parked on the side of the road.

The two sat down and the carriage slowly started moving. Qi Zhian didn't know where Leng Yan was taking her, but she remained silent and didn't ask. After the carriage had traveled a distance, someone stopped it. Then the two heard soldiers outside the carriage say, "A prisoner escaped last night. Today, we're conducting a routine inspection. Please get out of the carriage and let it be checked."

As soon as these words were spoken, Leng Yan, who had been pretending to sleep with her eyes closed, opened her eyes and looked at Qi Zhian, only to see that Qi Zhian was also looking at her nervously, with a look full of panic.

Leng Yan said softly, "Don't panic, it's okay." Looking at Leng Yan, Qi Zhian felt inexplicably relieved. The officers and soldiers outside the car didn't hear the conversation inside, but seeing that the people inside the car were slow to respond, they exchanged glances, and then one of them spoke again.

But the moment the words fell, everyone felt a gust of wind rushing towards them. Just when they thought they were about to die, the wind stopped in front of them. Then a voice as cold as ice in the twelfth lunar month rang out: "Shut up!"

The officers and soldiers looked closely and saw two young ladies standing in front of the carriage, both of them with a slight anger on their faces. Seeing that they were two beautiful women, the officers and soldiers' impatience instantly disappeared.
