Chapter 18 You are unconscious. Why should I come to see you? To see your body?

On the other side, Leng Yan flew to Han Qing's residence on a sword.

In Han Qing's courtyard, Leng Yan looked at Han Qing who had already woken up. She asked lightly, "Awake?" Han Qing looked at Leng Yan's usually stern face and smiled gently.

Han Qing smiled gently and said, "Well, he woke up after only three days."

Then Han Qing looked at Leng Yan and asked, "But, I heard Qingyu say that you didn't come to see me while I was unconscious?"

Leng Yan said nonchalantly, "I was in seclusion during that time and just came out today." Then Leng Yan changed the subject and said, "But, you asked me to come and see you. What did you want me to see? When you were unconscious, should I see your body or just sit there and wait for you to wake up?"

Han Qing laughed and said, "Yan'er is still as ruthless as ever." Leng Yan said nothing after hearing that.

At this time, Han Qing spoke again: "But Yan'er, don't you worry about the head brother at all?" Leng Yan said: "He is the strongest person in the world of cultivation. Why should I worry about him?"

At this time, Han Qing took out the chessboard and placed it on the table, inviting Leng Yan: "Yan'er, would you like to play a game of chess with me?"

Leng Yan agreed, and the two sat opposite each other, completely absorbed in the battle on the chessboard. Leng Yan held the black pieces, Han Qing the white. The black pieces made Leng Yan's hands look slender and white. Neither of them spoke, only the gentle "click" of one bony, slender hand and the other pale, slender hand occasionally placing pieces on the board.

A disciple accepted by Han Qing accidentally passed by the yard and saw two people playing chess in the yard, so he leaned over the door frame to look inside. The monks had sharp ears and eyes, so even though they were some distance away, they could still see the direction of the chess pieces on the two sides on the chessboard.

They were thrilled. Their master, despite his exceptional skill, rarely played in front of them. They hadn't expected to see him play chess today. They stared at the two men sitting across from each other at the chess table. One stood proud and aloof, like a bamboo in the mountains. The other, with a cold expression between his eyebrows and eyes, gazed down at the chessboard, like a proud snow lotus.

Many disciples were drawn to the two's contradictory yet striking auras. One disciple whispered, "Don't you think Master and Senior Sister are a perfect match? They really do seem destined to be together." Another disciple murmured in agreement.

Some other disciples focused their attention on the chessboard. Some of these disciples were young ladies and gentlemen from official families, and their attention was all on the chessboard.

As more and more people gathered, Han Qing waved his hand to set up a soundproof formation around. Leng Yan raised her hand and waved to break his formation. She held the chess piece in one hand and placed it on the chessboard, and with the other hand she broke the formation, saying, "If they want to see, let them come and see. It won't be a problem." As the words fell, the chess piece also fell on the chessboard with a "click" sound.

The disciples outside the door heard Leng Yan say that they could go in and take a look, and they all ignored their own masters and entered the courtyard, surrounding the two of them. Han Qing saw the disciples approaching and raised his head to give them a warning look.

The disciples, receiving the warning look from their master, immediately shut up and quietly walked over. Leng Yan was unaware of all this as her attention was completely focused on the chessboard. Therefore, she completely ignored the frantic looks from some of the surrounding disciples.

The disciples exchanged glances with each other: Master loves him so much, why didn’t the senior sister look up just now?

Some of the disciples continued to stare at Leng Yan's face: "Big Sister is so beautiful, no matter how many times I look at her, it's still not enough, I'll suffocate if I look at her any more." But they still didn't want to look away.

After a long while, Leng Yan said in a cold voice: "Draw."

The surrounding disciples immediately became excited. It was a draw! The eldest senior sister could actually draw with the master. If it were them, they would have lost long ago.

Han Qing said calmly, "One more round." Leng Yan didn't refuse. After a long moment, another "draw" broke the silence. Han Qing wanted to play another round, but Leng Yan had already stood up, saying she had to go back to prepare for the Shengyuan Ceremony in a few days, and refused.

After Leng Yan left, the disciples also dispersed. Han Qing looked at the chessboard on the table, which had not yet been cleared. He picked up a white piece and examined it in the sunlight. Seeing it become crystal clear under the sunlight, Han Qing chuckled and said to himself: "Yan'er, do you want to be the chess master or a chess piece at the mercy of others?"
