Chapter 23 Drawing the Sword (1)

On the second day, the disciples of Qingyuan Sect who were going to attend the ceremony gathered at the sect square early.

Leng Yan, the senior sister, stood at the front of the team. All participating disciples of the Qingyuan Sect wore the sect's uniform. The Qingyuan Sect uniform was white, with bamboo embroidered in gold thread on the chest and right shoulder. Around the waist was a black, gilded girdle. The outer robe was black with white crane stripes on the cuffs.

Leng Yan's sect uniform was different from that of the other disciples. Hers was white, with a black bamboo painting on the right chest and shoulder. Her waistband was black, embroidered with silver cloud patterns. Her outer robe was entirely black, with gold-embroidered lotus flowers on the hem and cuffs. Her uniform stood out among the disciples, all wearing white outer robes, making her instantly recognizable.

Leng Yan's sect uniform was designed specifically for her by Qingyu and the others, with the goal of making it instantly recognizable. When Leng Yan first received it, she was a bit suspicious if she'd gotten the wrong uniform, but the disciples assured her it was, and she had no choice but to wear it. As a result, Leng Yan almost never wore it within the sect, save for important events.

After everyone arrived, Leng Yan explained what they should pay attention to in the next period of time. The disciples listened carefully. At this time, Leng Yan saw Qingyu and the other two coming, and the three of them walked towards this side together.

Qingyu was wearing a turquoise robe, with her black hair casually draped over her back. She held a folding fan in her hand with a faint smile on her lips.

Han Qing was dressed in a purple robe, his black hair neatly tied up with a lotus jade crown, his face was stern and he never smiled.

Gong Cang was dressed in Miao style. The silver ornaments on his body and head reflected silver light under the sunlight, and he looked lazy.

The three of them walked together with a powerful aura, carrying a strong sense of intimidation. This was the temperament exuded by the strong.

Leng Yan usually hangs out with Qingyu and the others, and since she's known as the most beautiful woman in the world of cultivation, she doesn't think they're particularly attractive. But to the other disciples, they're quite good-looking. Those disciples whisper about how good-looking Qingyu and the other two are.

Qingyu and the other two pretended not to hear. They looked at Leng Yan with surprise in their eyes. Although they saw Leng Yan many times in their daily lives, they were still amazed every time they saw Leng Yan's face, and they would sigh in their hearts that there was such a beautiful woman in the world.

As Qingyu and the other two approached, all the disciples bowed in greeting. Qingyu said, "That's enough. Don't worry about these empty formalities." After thanking Qingyu, everyone straightened up. Only a few people understood that Qingyu's words were meant for Leng Yan.

Qingyu and the other two were the first to board the flying boat, followed by Leng Yan, and behind Leng Yan came the other disciples. After everyone boarded the flying boat, it began to slowly rise, and when it reached a certain height, it began to speed forward.

Leng Yan sat on the side, surrounded by disciples, and chatted with them casually.

At this moment, a disciple squeezed into the crowd, bowed to Leng Yan, and said, "Big Sister, the elders asked you to go upstairs. They have something to tell you." Leng Yan looked up at the deck, and her eyes met with Qingyu, one of the three people sitting there. Qingyu gave Leng Yan a gentle smile, and Leng Yan looked away.

He said, "I understand, thank you." Then he looked at Qin Du who was sitting next to him and said, "Wait for me here, I will come back and take you to draw the sword." Qin Du nodded, and although he felt unwilling in his heart, he still did not stop.

Leng Yan stood up, and the disciples around her made way for her. Leng Yan walked forward, and when she approached the three people, Han Qing waved his hand, and the four of them were enveloped by the formation.

Leng Yan looked at the three people and asked, "What's the matter?" Qingyu pointed to the chair opposite and said, "Yan'er, sit down first." Leng Yan looked at the seat, frowned, and finally sat down.

Seeing Leng Yan sitting down, Qingyu on the opposite side said, "Didn't Yan'er say that she wanted to take Qin Du to the sword show? We discussed and decided that Gong Cang would go with you." Leng Yan frowned and refused, "No need."

Qingyu said: "Since Yan'er doesn't want to agree, we can't agree. After all, if something goes wrong and the leader holds us accountable, we can't bear the responsibility." Leng Yan thought for a moment and finally agreed.

Seeing that the issue of getting the sword was resolved, Leng Yan said, "Now that the issue of getting the sword has been resolved, let's talk about Qin Du." Qing Yu smiled and said, "Didn't I already say that the matter of Qin Du was a misunderstanding?"

Leng Yan glanced at Qing Yu and said calmly, "I know it was a misunderstanding, but how do you, as elders, explain why you cast a curse on your disciples?"

The three of them fell silent after hearing this. Leng Yan looked at the silent three and said calmly, "I don't care what your relationship was like in the past, and I'm not interested in knowing what happened between you. From now on, stay away from him and don't let him lead you astray and mislead the young people." Han Qing smiled and asked, "Are you jealous, Yan'er?"

Leng Yan looked at Han Qing as if he was a fool and said, "I've been fasting for a long time, why are you jealous?" Looking at the ignorant girl Qingyu in front of him, he smiled and said, "It's okay. Yan'er, you can go back first." After hearing this, Leng Yan got up and left.

After Leng Yan left, Qingyu put away the smile on her face and said to Gong Cang, "You know what to do, right?" Gong Cang said, "I know." Although Wen Shi had said that he would come back to solve the problem personally, why not give Qin Du a little hardship?
