Chapter 30 Drawing the Sword (8)

After taking the pill, Leng Yan sat aside to rest, while Gong Cang was giving a lecture there.

It was called a lecture, but in reality it was just to tell Leng Yan to take better care of her health in the future. Leng Yan lowered her eyes, her gaze cold and calm, and it was unclear whether she was listening to what Gong Cang said.

After a long time, Gong Cang asked Leng Yan, "Do you understand?" Leng Yan answered nonchalantly, "I understand." Gong Cang looked at Leng Yan's nonchalant look. Well, all the words he said just now were in vain. She was not listening at all.

Gong Cang gritted his teeth and said, "I'll talk to the Sect Leader about this when he comes back." Leng Yan still looked nonchalant. "Oh, I see."

Then he felt that his lower abdomen pain had subsided, and he looked at Gong Cang and said, "Let's go." Then he left first. Seeing this, Gong Cang had no choice but to follow him.

Soon, the two of them arrived at the Spirit Sword Pond. Sect Master Yun and his men were already waiting there, and cultivators were coming in and out of the Spirit Sword Pond. Yun Wanshan looked at the cultivators and asked Leng Yan, "Friend Leng, do you want to let these people leave?"

Leng Yan said, "No need. It's better to have someone here." Yun Wanshan was stunned for a moment, then he understood what Leng Yan meant. He looked at Leng Yan and said, "I really didn't think this through."

Leng Yan simply nodded, then looked at Yun Wanshan and asked, "Master Yun, are you ready?" Yun Wanshan quickly replied, "Yes."

Leng Yan nodded, then stood up and called Qin Du to walk towards the sword pool. Gong Cang followed him out of concern, and finally stood by the pool and watched the two of them enter the sword pool together.

After watching Leng Yan enter the sword pond, Yun Wanshan said to Yun Anyuan, "Spend more time with Leng Yan in the future. It will be good for you." Yun Anyuan said excitedly, "Dad, you don't object to me pursuing Fellow Daoist Leng anymore?"

Yun Wanshan rolled his eyes at him and said, "I'm not letting you pursue her because it's for your own good. I'm afraid you'll be rejected and come crying to me later. There are many people chasing after Leng Xiaoyou, and there are many who are more capable than you. If they didn't succeed, how can you be sure of winning over her?"

Yun Anyuan covered his ears and refused to listen. He said, "I won't give up no matter what you say."

Yun Wanshan sighed helplessly and had to let him go. Seeing that his father had stopped talking, Yun Anyuan put down his hands that were covering his ears and asked Yun Wanshan: "Dad, why did you ask me to spend more time with Fellow Daoist Leng?"

Yun Wanshan glanced at his silly son, then sighed and said, "You don't have enough experience yet, and your way of handling things isn't good enough. Would it be good for you to spend more time with Leng Xiaoyou?"

Yun Anyuan still didn't understand. Seeing Yun Anyuan's puzzled expression, Yun Wanshan asked, "Let me ask you, why didn't Young Master Leng let those monks who came to draw their swords leave?" Yun Anyuan thought for a moment and said uncertainly, "Because they wouldn't affect what she was going to do?"

Yun Wanshan knocked on Yun Anyuan's head and said, "Why can't you understand anything?" Yun Anyuan covered his head which was hurt by the knock and looked at Yun Wanshan and said, "Dad, why is it so?"

Yun Wanshan asked, "Do you know why she came?" Yun Anyuan nodded and said, "She brought her junior brother to draw the sword. What does that have to do with it?" Yun Wanshan said, "It has a lot to do with it. She wants her junior brother to draw one of the three swords in the pool."

Yun Anyuan's eyes widened as he spoke, "But no one has been able to pull out those three swords in the past few years. There are even rumors outside that no one in the entire cultivation world can pull out those three spiritual swords." Yun Wanshan nodded and said, "Indeed, but Young Master Leng and his junior brother will definitely be able to pull them out."

After hearing this, Yun Anyuan thought for a moment, and then his eyes lit up. He said, "I understand. If Qin Du draws his sword, those people will think the rumors are false, and they will continue to come to the Sword Pool to draw their swords.

If other monks were present, they would surely spread the news. This way, Wanyu Pavilion would not only make money, but also dispel the rumor that we deliberately withheld the sword from the monk.

I also told them that it wasn't that the spirit sword couldn't be drawn, but that the spirit sword looked down on them. Yun Wanshan nodded. It seemed his son wasn't stupid and could still be saved. Then he said, "Don't say that last sentence again. It will make you get beaten." Yun Anyuan pursed his lips and said, "I understand."

On the other side, Leng Yan brought Qin Du to the Sword Pool. As the name suggests, the Sword Pool is a very large pool of water, but it is called the Sword Pool because there are many magic swords at the bottom of the pool.

Leng Yan followed his memory and led Qin Du to the three swords. The surrounding cultivators saw Leng Yan and Qin Du standing in front of the three swords, obviously wanting to see if they could pull them out.

Some monks saw that although Leng Yan was wearing a veil, they could still guess from her graceful figure and exposed eyes that Leng Yan must have an ordinary appearance.

So, wanting to leave a good impression in front of Leng Yan, he said, "Fellow Daoist, don't bother with those three swords. If you can't pull them out, why not try to pull out the other swords?"

Leng Yan glanced at the male cultivator and said, "Thank you for the reminder, but we want to give it a try. If we really can't pull it out, we can talk about it later."

Her voice was clear, pleasant, and distant. The male cultivator felt a tingling sensation in his ears and even blushed. He stumbled over it and said, "No...you're welcome."

After Leng Yan finished speaking, she turned around and said to Qin Du, "These are the three swords. The one on the far right is called the Wind-Sounding Sword; the one in the middle is called the Frost Sword; and the one on the far left is called the Withered Flower Sword. The two swords I took away back then were called the Frost Moon Sword and the White Dust Sword."

Qin Du nodded. Su Chen is an elegant name for snow. It seems that the five swords back then represented wind, flowers, snow, moon, and frost respectively.

Qin Du walked forward and stretched out his hand to grasp the hilt of the Frost Sword. Everyone around him looked at him, afraid that they would miss something in the blink of an eye.

Qin Du gripped the hilt of the Frost Sword. As if sensing something, the Frost Sword began to tremble. Others didn't understand, but Leng Yan did. Qin Du had her aura on him, and that was why the Frost Sword was so excited.
