"Waiting for Bai Shengsheng?" Tang Junhe looked at her in surprise. He remembered that she and Bai Shengsheng were relatively unfamiliar.
"I want to find textbooks and test papers for three years of high school. I just met Bai Shengsheng and she said she could help me find someone to borrow them. I'm waiting for her here." Song Zhi explained.
Unexpectedly, Tang Junhe seemed a little unhappy, with his brows slightly furrowed, his lips tightly pursed, and a hint of dissatisfaction in his eyes.
"Didn't I tell you before that if you have any problems, you can come to me first and I will help you. Why don't you come to me?"
Hearing his question, Song Zhi was stunned for a long time before giving an awkward explanation.
"I just thought you were busy with work, so there was no need to bother you for such a small matter."
She cleared her throat awkwardly. She had indeed never thought of asking Tang Junhe for help from the beginning.
Tang Junhe saw through her thoughts at a glance and was looking at her with a gloomy expression.
Although he was very unhappy, he couldn't find any words to blame her when he saw her face. At this moment, he could only say something to her in a deep voice.
"If you have any problems in the future, just come to me and I will help."
As he spoke, he met Song Zhi's eyes and added, "I'm not as busy as you think. Don't be afraid to bother me with these things."
Snowflakes fell heavily, covering Song Zhi's shoulders and hair with white snow.
Tang Junhe looked at her red hands from the cold, and his expression became even uglier.
"You don't even know how to hide when it's snowing, and you're still waiting here like an idiot. Come back to the dormitory with me to avoid the wind and snow."
He said something in a bad mood, then grabbed her arm and took them both back to his dormitory.
Song Zhi had been to his dormitory twice.
Just like him, his dormitory is always tidy and everything is in perfect order.
Tang Junhe poured her a cup of hot water and then, with a cold face, stuffed a hand warmer into her hand.
"Drink some hot water and warm your hands."
Song Zhi took them one by one, looked at his stern and somewhat angry face, and said nothing.
Seeing her like this, Tang Junhe sighed helplessly, then his expression softened and he asked, "How long have you been outside? Aren't you cold?"
Song Zhi didn't say anything.
She waited outside for quite a while, and it was snowing. Although she wasn't wearing too thin clothes, her ears and hands were frozen red.
"It won't be cold now."
After a while, Song Zhi finally said something.
After drinking some hot water, my whole body felt warm, not to mention the hand warmer he gave me, which instantly dispelled the coldness in my body.
However, Song Zhi was flattered by Tang Junhe's care for her.
It’s really good to have a brother like Tang Junhe.
Seeing that she had warmed up and her hands were no longer as red as before, Tang Junhe asked her.
“How many books do you want?”
"I want a portion for four people." Song Zhi answered immediately.
She looked at Tang Junhe with some anticipation. Bai Shengsheng had been gone for so long and had not returned, so she was afraid that it would be difficult for her to borrow a book. If Tang Junhe was willing to help, this matter would indeed become very easy.
She must borrow high school textbooks and test papers.
Hearing her say that she wanted so much, Tang Junhe's gaze lingered on her for a moment, and finally, meeting her gaze, he asked, "Why do you need so much?"
"Nie Jinmei and the others and I have agreed to take the college entrance examination and get into university together."
Song Zhi did not hide anything and told the whole story directly.
She looked at Tang Junhe honestly and told him her study plan.
"I plan to teach from now on while reviewing high school knowledge. Then, on weekends, I'll go do the exams with Nie Jinmei and the others. That way, when the college entrance exam comes, we'll all be able to get into university."
Hearing her clear plan, Tang Junhe looked at her in surprise. It actually surprised him that she was so motivated now.
His eyes changed slightly as he looked at Song Zhi's serious expression. He felt that she had really changed a lot after going to the countryside.
In the past, Song Zhi could be said to be uneducated and unlearned. She would just follow him around doing nothing every day, although her academic performance was always pretty good.
But he follows him around like a little tail, and he keeps clinging to him every day, just like those playboys in the compound.
But now, in just a few months, she not only went to the countryside to work as a teacher, but also decided to study hard and get into university. She is really ambitious.
Seeing that she was determined and definitely not joking, Tang Junhe nodded with some relief.
"I'll help you with the textbook issue. I'll go find the high school teachers in the staff quarters and borrow some for you. Just wait here and don't go out and get cold."
Hearing that he wanted to help her, Song Zhi immediately broke into a brilliant smile and hurriedly thanked him.
"Thank you. I'll trouble you with this matter."
Tang Junhe looked at her deeply and said, "It's not a problem."
After saying that, he turned around and prepared to leave to help her borrow a book. However, before he stepped out of the dormitory door, he was suddenly stopped by Song Zhi.
"Tang Junhe."
Tang Junhe turned around curiously and saw Song Zhi looking at him strangely, and suddenly asked.
"Why did you suddenly go to the Dongyang Village threshing ground to watch a movie that day?"
Tang Junhe's heart skipped a beat. He looked at her deeply, then looked away. He replied calmly, "I was bored in the army, so I went to watch a movie to join in the fun. What's wrong with that?"
These words left Song Zhi speechless for a moment. There was indeed nothing wrong with it, but when did Tang Junhe become a person who liked to join in the fun?
However, she did not say these words, but directly brought up Yin Ran's matter.
"Yin Ran made an appointment with me the other day and said he had something important to tell me. Did you know about this?"
Song Zhi pinched her palms, looked at him nervously, and finally asked him directly.
"Do you know what he wants to say to me?"
Tang Junhe's behavior that day was really suspicious, and Song Zhi now just wanted to know whether he knew that Yin Ran was going to confess to her.
She stared at Tang Junhe's expression.
Tang Junhe's pupils shrank slightly, but the next second he shook his head and answered indifferently.
"I don't know. How would I know about him?"
Yin Ran and he have always had a good relationship. Could he really not know?
Song Zhi was very skeptical, but then he thought, no matter how good their relationship was, it was normal for Yin Ran not to tell him about such a private matter as confession.
Moreover, Tang Junhe looked so innocent that Song Zhi couldn't see anything wrong.
Maybe she was just overthinking it?
Thinking of this, she lowered her eyes and did not ask any more questions. Instead, she said, "Thank you for the trouble with borrowing the book."
