Chapter 315: Heroic Competition

Tang Junhe looked at Song Zhi's desperate refusal with a subtle expression, and his lips were pressed down.

The male passenger's wife saw everything and quickly pulled the male passenger away.

"Okay, the girl has said it's not true. Maybe we just misunderstood. Stop talking nonsense and making her feel embarrassed."

She said and winked at him.

The couple had a tacit understanding between them. When the male passenger saw her like this, he immediately reacted, smiled foolishly, scratched his head, and smiled apologetically at Song Zhi.

Although they were in the same carriage, they didn't have much interaction afterwards. The couple seemed to be from Huguang area and spoke their local dialect, which Song Zhi and the others could hardly understand.

Song Zhi propped up his chin boredly, watching the scene flash by outside the window.

The further north they went, the thicker the snow outside became. Song Zhi felt inexplicably cold just looking at the white snow, and subconsciously wrapped his clothes tighter.

When Tang Junhe saw her appearance, he stood up with a glass bottle.

Seeing this, the male passenger next to him also took two teacups and followed him.

"Brother, go get some water. I want to go too. Let's go together."

Tang Junhe nodded lightly.

The two of them walked together to the washroom at the end of the carriage.

There were quite a few people queuing up to get hot water, and the two of them arrived at an unfortunate time, as there were four or five people queuing in front of them.

"That girl is your sweetheart, right?"

The male passenger looked around boredly, then suddenly looked at Tang Junhe with a smile.

Tang Junhe didn't say anything, but he didn't deny it either.

Seeing this, the male passenger chuckled.

"I knew it."

As he spoke, he patted Tang Junhe on the shoulder again and jokingly said, "Brother, the revolution still needs to continue its efforts."

Hearing this, the corners of Tang Junhe's mouth twitched.

"Yes."

He said in a deep voice.

The male passenger was a very talkative person. He suddenly started talking about the glorious deeds of his pursuit of his sweetheart when he was young, and enthusiastically passed on his experience to Tang Junhe.

"When it comes to chasing a girl, the key is to cling to her. You just cling to her. How does that saying go?"

The male passenger scratched his head, frowned and thought for a long time before he cried out.

"A virtuous woman is afraid of a clinging man! If a virtuous woman is afraid of a clinging man, then she will accept you sooner or later."

His voice was a little loud, causing many people around to look towards them.

The corners of Tang Junhe's mouth twitched twice again.

It happened that it was their turn at this time. He quickly took the hot water and walked away from the male passenger.

Back in the carriage, looking at Song Zhi leaning against the window, feeling a little drowsy, Tang Junhe couldn't help but recall what the male passenger had just said.

He chewed it over twice and found that it made some sense.

A warm glass bottle was suddenly stuffed into Song Zhi's arms. She was startled and when she looked up, she met Tang Junhe's deep pupils.

"Hold me and warm my hands."

"Thanks."

Song Zhi realized it belatedly and said thank you, hugging the glass bottle to keep warm.

Along the way, Tang Junhe took great care of her.

In addition, since he bought a sleeper ticket, he could lie down on the bed when he got tired. Therefore, Song Zhi did not feel particularly tired on this trip to the countryside.

Three days later, Song Zhi and his friends arrived in Anyang.

As soon as he got off the train, Song Zhi saw from afar that Ran Qiu and the three little ones were already waiting at the exit.

Looking at her, the three little guys shouted her name excitedly and rushed towards her.

"Sister Zhizhi, you are finally back. We missed you so much!"

Song Zhi was hugged tightly by them, and her heart melted as she listened to their soft and sweet words about how much they missed her.

She smiled, rubbed their little heads, and said softly, "I miss you too."

It's been just over two months since I last saw them, and the three little ones seem to have grown a lot taller. The ones that were only as tall as her waist are now almost as tall as her shoulders.

"They've all grown taller." She sighed.

Looking at the three little ones' current appearance, she could hardly imagine what they looked like before.

"We've been eating well and exercising regularly lately!"

After being praised by Song Zhi, the three little guys patted their chests and spoke with great pride, like a peacock spreading its tail tail.

Song Zhi was touched by their cute appearance and the smile on her face became even brighter.

She squatted down and took out all the gifts she bought for them in the capital.

"Great, this is my reward for you."

She bought a lot of candies, biscuits, and various dried fruits, which are rare items that are hard to find in Anyang County.

The three little guys accepted the gifts and thanked Song Zhi obediently.

"Thank you, Sister Zhizhi."

Song Zhi looked at them and saw that they were all in the teeth-changing period, so he gave them a special reminder.

"But don't eat too much, it's bad for your teeth."

The three little guys nodded in agreement.

After comforting the three little guys, Song Zhi looked up at Ran Qiu, who was standing not far away in thin clothes.

He was still the same as before, even in the freezing weather, he was only wearing a thin cotton jacket. The cold wind blew and kept lifting the hem of his jacket, making him look even weaker.

Noticing her gaze, Ran Qiu smiled at her, and his originally cold eyes seemed to be brushed by the spring breeze, filled with tenderness.

"I'm back."

Song Zhi greeted him with a smile.

"haven't seen you for a long time."

"Let's go home and talk about it. It's cold outside."
