When Song Zhi went downstairs, Zhu Xiaoqin was about to clear the table.
When she saw Song Zhi coming downstairs, there was a hint of surprise in her eyes, as if she was surprised that she came downstairs so quickly.
Song Zhi looked at her helplessly.
Noticing her gaze, Zhu Xiaoqin thought she was still not full, so she stopped eating immediately and asked awkwardly, "Zhizhi, do you want to eat more?"
"I'm full, you clean up."
Song Zhi shook his head.
She walked straight towards Tang's mother who was sitting on the sofa.
"Jun He is drunk and has gone to bed now. Would you like to stay here tonight?"
Song Zhi asked softly.
"No, no, I'll call Yiye later and ask the driver to pick me up."
Tang Mu waved her hands repeatedly.
It would be fine if she just came to the Song family to have the New Year's Eve dinner, but how could she possibly stay overnight?
"Mom, don't be so formal. Just treat this as your own home." Song Zhi tried to persuade her to stay.
The rest of the Tang family was not at home, and when Tang's mother returned home, the place was deserted again.
If she went back, it would go against Tang Junhe and Song Zhi's intention to bring her over for some fun.
"You go back alone. When Jun He wakes up tomorrow, it's time to talk to me."
Knowing that Tang's mother was embarrassed to stay, Song Zhi deliberately pulled her arm and put the blame on Tang Junhe.
In the end, Tang's mother couldn't resist Song Zhi's persuasion and had to give in.
"Then I'll go clean up your room."
Song Zhi smiled and immediately got up and went to the second floor to prepare a guest room for Tang's mother.
Tang Junhe got drunk, so on New Year's Eve only Song Zhi stayed with Song Anshan and the others until midnight.
As soon as it was twelve o'clock, Song Anshan moved the fireworks and firecrackers out.
Amid the sound of firecrackers, Song Zhi said to the others with a smile.
"Happy New Year."
Tang's mother smiled and took out the New Year's gift she had prepared long ago from her pocket and put it on Song Zhi's hand.
Song Zhi only felt a coolness on her wrist. When she lowered her head, she saw a warm and clear jade bracelet already on her wrist.
The white jade bracelet is of very good texture and perfectly matches Song Zhi's temperament.
"Thank you, Mom."
Song Zhi liked it at first sight. She thanked Tang's mother and accepted the gift without any excuses.
Naturally, she also prepared a gift for Tang Mu.
She prepared a beautiful gold necklace, an exquisite and special style, which she specially went to a gold shop to have custom-made.
Tang's mother also liked it and put it on immediately.
"Zhizhi has a really good eye."
"I'm glad you like it." Seeing that she liked it, Song Zhi's smile became even brighter.
When he turned around, he saw Song Anshan looking at him eagerly. Song Zhi laughed and quickly took out the gift for him and handed it to him.
"Of course I won't forget Dad."
The gift Song Zhi prepared for him was much simpler, it was a property certificate.
Song Anshan looked at her with confusion on his face.
"There's a wine room in this house. Dad, when you're free, you can go take a look."
Song Zhi blinked and said.
Upon hearing this, Song Anshan's eyes immediately lit up and he held the property certificate in his arms like a treasure.
This is the only hobby he has, and he usually just likes to drink a little wine.
"However, even though there is a lot of wine, you still have to be moderate and not drink too much."
Seeing that he liked it, Song Zhi was naturally happy, but she still gave him a reminder.
After all, Song Anshan is old now, and drinking too much is not good for his health.
Song Anshan responded with "OK" several times.
Zhu Xiaoqin watched the excitement for a while and was about to go back to the house. Just as she was about to take a step, Song Zhi walked up to her and stuffed a card into her hand.
"This is this year's bonus and salary. Aunt Zhu, keep it safe for yourself. From now on, I will transfer your salary to this card on time every month."
Although Zhu Xiaoqin had been working as a nanny in her house, she had never asked for much salary. Even if Song Zhi wanted to pay her, she would only ask for ten yuan a month.
But times have changed, and even if only a few years have passed, ten dollars is not enough to do anything.
So Song Zhi took the initiative to raise her salary to 1,000 yuan a month. She made up for last year's salary and deposited it all into this card.
"Didn't I get my salary a long time ago? Why are you giving it back? I can't accept it."
Zhu Xiaoqin quickly declined.
Song Zhi had no choice but to explain the whole story to her.
"Aunt Zhu, there aren't many jobs that pay ten yuan a month these days. I can't exploit you like this. I'm going to reimburse you for the money in this card. From now on, I'll pay you a thousand yuan a month."
When Zhu Xiaoqin heard this, her eyes widened and she waved her hands repeatedly: "I don't want so much. How can I use so much?"
She just takes care of the kids and cooks. How can she deserve such a high salary?
Song Zhi ignored her refusal and said decisively, "Let's do it this way."
Now that their family business is growing bigger and bigger, they have no shortage of money to spend, so there is no reason to treat Zhu Xiaoqin unfairly.
Moreover, Zhu Xiaoqin took care of the children and all the housework at home by herself, which was very hard. Song Zhi felt that the 1,000 yuan salary was what she deserved.
Nowadays, it costs hundreds of dollars to find a good full-time nanny outside.
After Song Zhi delivered the gifts, he yawned, said good night to everyone, and took Tang Mu home.
She sent Tang Mu to her room.
Then he brought over a new set of daily necessities. After settling Tang's mother down, he went back to his room to sleep.
In the room, Tang Junhe was lying on the bed alone, still working as he had done when Song Zhi left.
"Even when he's drunk, he's quite honest."
Song Zhi curled her lips, went to wash up, and then lay down beside him and fell asleep.
