Lu Xiaojun carried a bowl of goat milk and went around to the cowshed via a small path on the back mountain. Few people walked this path; it was the only one used by the people in the cowshed when they went up the mountain.
As he approached the cowshed, he saw Jia Zhichao and his son carrying a tattered straw mat toward the back of the mountain. He knew that the body inside was Jia Zhichao's wife, who had died from postpartum hemorrhage.
Suddenly, the quiet path I had just walked on felt eerie and terrifying.
When the Jia father and son saw Lu Xiaojun, they simply nodded as a greeting and did not say anything.
Seeing that they were busy, Lu Xiaojun didn't say much. He quickly walked a few steps to the door of the thatched hut. Not knowing which room the Jia family lived in, he could only call out, "Is anyone home?"

Lu Pingru was overjoyed and wept, almost kneeling down again.
