He chuckled softly, "It's not because of my partner, but it's definitely because there are important people in my family."
Ji Xinmin was delighted to hear that he was single, but his next words immediately chilled her heart.
"An important person? Is it someone who isn't your partner yet, but will be in the future?" she asked again, almost as if possessed.
Lu Xiaojun shook his head, "No, the important people I'm talking about are my family, my brother and sister-in-law, my sister and brother-in-law, and my group of adorable nephews."
As he said this, a happy smile unconsciously appeared on his face.
Ji Xinmin could tell that he had a very good relationship with his family.
"So you couldn't bear to leave your family."
Ji Xinmin's heart began to cheer again, just like riding a roller coaster, going up and down, it was so exciting.
"Work is important. If you can't bear to leave them, you can take some time to go back and see them, or bring them to Kyoto for a visit. Why give up such a promising future?"
It would be such a waste if someone refused an assigned job simply because they couldn't bear to leave their family.

As soon as the two returned to the classroom and sat down, classmates immediately surrounded them, all asking about Lu Xiaojun's decision to give up the assigned job.

Lu Xiaojun faced it all with a smile. He knew what he was doing and what he wanted, and that was enough.
Just as everyone was chattering away, someone shouted from the doorway, "Lu Xiaojun, someone's looking for you!"
Everyone turned to look at the doorway.
Lu Xiaojun got up, pushed through the crowd, and saw several familiar figures. He happily strode forward.
"Fan-ge, Heng-ge, Wen-qi, what brings you here?"
