Chapter 443 Recruiting, Encountering Brothers

Lu Yuan was speechless. How could someone as handsome as him look like a human trafficker?

Helpless, they had no choice but to ask the government for help.

Find Qian Weixin, state your requirements: post a recruitment advertisement at the entrance of the unit, and hold the registration at the municipal government.

This way, no one will suspect his job postings are fake or mistake him for a human trafficker.

Many educated youth are now returning to the city, and many young people who failed to get into university can't find jobs either, so the number of unemployed youth is increasing.

As the number of unemployed people increases, public security deteriorates, causing the government a major headache.

Lu Yuan now needs to recruit employees, which can help solve some of the employment problems, so the government will naturally provide strong support.

Qian Weixin immediately instructed his secretary to arrange for someone to do this.

The secretary went out to receive the task and returned in a flurry of activity within two minutes, followed by several familiar faces who looked travel-worn.

"Big brother?"

"Brother Yuan..."

When Lu Xiaojun, Xiao Fan, Yu Shaoheng, Wei Wenqi, and Wei Wenshu saw that Lu Yuan was also there, they exclaimed in unison with surprise.

Lu Yuan was also pleasantly surprised. With these people back, most of his tasks could be taken over.

He smiled and got up to approach the group.

"You're back! Why didn't you tell us beforehand? We could have picked you up at the station."

Yu Shaoheng went up and gave him a bear hug.

"Brother Yuan, it's been a long time! I just wanted to give you guys a surprise!"

Lu Yuan happily slapped him twice on the back, making Yu Shaoheng roll his eyes and quickly push him away.

"Cough cough, Brother Yuan, you're trying to murder me!"

Lu Yuan laughed loudly, "Hahahaha, I was so happy I couldn't control myself."

The others laughed along with them.

After laughing, they realized whose office they were in, and quickly greeted Qian Weixin.

Qian Weixin greeted them with a smile and invited them to sit down. His secretary had already poured tea.

Lu Yuan asked the group, "Why didn't you go straight back to the brigade? Why did you come to the county government instead? Did you know I was here beforehand?"

“We didn’t have any foresight, how could we have known you were here?” Yu Shaoheng said.

Xiao Fan said, "I was assigned to work here, and I thought I'd come over to check in and borrow a car to go back."

“From now on, the deputy county secretary should be called Secretary Xiao,” Yu Shaoheng added smugly.

Lu Yuan raised an eyebrow in delight, "Good lad, you're amazing!"

After praising him, she asked, "Do my uncles know?"

"Yes, I know. I went home for a visit when I got to the provincial capital on my way back, and they were very happy!"

"They would be even happier if you could get married and have a child."

This guy is only a year younger than Lu Yuan, and he's in his early thirties and still single. Lu Yuan is worried for him.

Xiao Fan forced a smile and changed the subject, "Brother Yuan, is there something you need in the county?"

"Yes, something's up!"

Lu Yuan then explained the recruitment process.

Upon hearing this, the group all clamored to go and help.

Xiao Fan was the last to go. This was the first thing he did in the onboarding office: to assist Lu Yuan with recruitment, then personally send the new employees to the Changhe Brigade, and give them half a month to help them get settled before returning to their unit.

This is essentially giving him a break. He was going back to the Changhe Brigade anyway, so it was just a convenient arrangement. It's like giving him a perk.

With the government's involvement and Deputy Secretary Xiao Fan accompanying the new employees throughout their resettlement process, no one doubted the authenticity of the recruitment. More and more people came to apply.

The saying goes, "You only realize how few people you have when you need them." Lu Yuan decided to hire anyone who met the recruitment requirements, as the Changhe Brigade needed to expand rapidly and was short of manpower.

The recruitment event delayed their trip, so the group had to stay overnight at the site and planned to return to the brigade after lunch the next day.

In the evening, Lu Xiaojun had nothing to do, so he took Wei Wenqi to his old high school for a stroll, where they ran into a high school classmate on the way.

That's why people say county towns are small; you're bound to run into acquaintances whenever you go out.

Lu Xiaojun was the pride of his classmates and teachers. The classmate was very excited and enthusiastic, and immediately pulled them to find their old classmate.

This student is quite popular and keeps in touch with most of the classmates in the county.

Within an hour, about ten old classmates gathered and spontaneously organized a class reunion.

However, the class reunion was worthwhile, as three classmates were willing to follow him back to work at the Changhe Brigade.

They brought it back to the guesthouse for Lu Yuan to see in person. None of the three of them had been admitted to university. They had taken the college entrance examination once but failed and then gave up.

One of them got a temporary job through connections, while the other two weren't so lucky. Jobs are getting harder and harder to find these days; you either need to have connections or be exceptionally capable.

Neither of them had either, so they stayed at home idle for a year and a half. Later, when they had no other choice, they set up a small stall on the street.

However, lacking experience and capital, they couldn't make much money.

When Lu Xiaojun mentioned that his village was hiring, the three of them were very interested.

Lu Yuan gave the three men a brief interview and was very satisfied with them. They were all high school students, which was considered educated in this era.

We need cultured people, the more the better, as long as they are of good character.

Lu Yuan's recruitment trip to the county was very successful, with Xiao Fan recruiting more than 60 people.

This has only been a day.

Lu Yuan felt that this number was far from enough. In the future, there would be a lot of reception staff at places like train stations, hotels, and temples, so it was necessary to recruit more people and train them.

Xiao Fan then decided to stay another day.

Lu Yuan followed him. He, Lu Xiaojun, and Wei Wenqi led the others back to the brigade first, while Yu Shaoheng and his wife stayed behind to assist Xiao Fan with his work.

Lu Yuan brought the people back and gave them all to Wen Moxue to train.
