Chapter 53 Changes

While handling the affairs of the medical station, Lin Yue's heart was always with her child. She would frequently look out the window, imagining what her child was doing, whether he was crying or not. She knew that her departure was to better protect the health of the villagers, but as a mother, she couldn't suppress her longing for her child.

At home, Chen Yu was diligently caring for his child. Following Aunt Liu's instructions, he fed the baby and changed diapers. At first, the baby was uncooperative, crying incessantly. Chen Yu was a little flustered, but he patiently soothed the child. "Baby, be good, Daddy's here, don't cry," Chen Yu said, holding the baby and gently rocking him, his eyes full of tenderness. Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, but he didn't complain at all.

After some effort, the child finally calmed down. Chen Yu breathed a sigh of relief, looking at the child with a sense of accomplishment. He knew that taking care of a child was hard work, but it was also a kind of happiness. He began to understand Lin Yue's dilemma, because the child had become the most important part of their lives, and it would be heartbreaking for either of them to leave.

As time went by, Lin Yue gradually resolved the issues at the medical station. She rushed home, and when she saw her child, tears streamed down her face. She ran over, hugged her child tightly, and kissed her repeatedly. "Baby, Mommy's back! Did you miss Mommy?" Lin Yue said excitedly, her eyes filled with the joy of reunion.

The child seemed to sense Lin Yue's feelings and smiled happily in her arms. Chen Yu watched this scene from the side and said with a smile, "Yue'er, look, the child is doing well. We all missed you very much." He walked over and gently hugged Lin Yue and the child, and the family of three was immersed in happiness.

This experience made Lin Yue and Chen Yu cherish the time they spend with each other and their child even more. They understand that family and career are both important and require a balance. From then on, they will manage their time more effectively when handling village affairs, trying their best not to interfere with spending time with their child.

Their child's growth brought them much joy and surprise. When the child began to babble, uttering the first "Papa" and "Mama" from those tender little lips, Lin Yue and Chen Yu were moved to tears. After the child learned to crawl, he would crawl all over the house, making a mess, but they never got angry. Instead, they felt it was the child's way of exploring the world. They would tidy up the areas the child had crawled in and place soft mats around to prevent injuries.

On a sunny afternoon, Lin Yue and Chen Yu were sunbathing with their child in the yard. The child crawled happily on the grass, chasing a colorful butterfly. Lin Yue and Chen Yu sat beside them, watching their child, their faces beaming with happiness.

“Look how adorable the child is. He’s like our little sun, illuminating our lives,” Lin Yue said to Chen Yu, her eyes filled with happiness and contentment.

Chen Yu nodded in agreement: "Yes, having a child has made our lives more meaningful. We must protect him and let him grow up happily." His eyes were firm and warm, filled with fatherly love as he looked at the child.

Their lives have become richer and more colorful with the arrival of their child. Although there are difficulties and challenges, there is more happiness and sweetness. In this ordinary little village, they are weaving a loving childhood for their child, and at the same time, they are constantly growing with their child's company, becoming better parents and protecting this warm home.

Every little action and every new discovery of their child becomes a highlight in their lives. They celebrate every small step forward together, whether it's learning a new word or standing up for a short while on their own. These moments are treasured in their hearts, becoming the most precious treasure in their family memories. In this loving family, the child is like a seed, growing strong under the care of his parents, while Lin Yue and Chen Yu are the fertile soil and warm sunshine, nourishing the child and accompanying him through every stage of his life.

As their child grew older, they began to think about his future. Educational resources were limited in this small village, but they didn't want their child to miss out on a good education. Lin Yue and Chen Yu often discussed their child's education at night, hoping to create better conditions for him.

“We need to find a way to give our child a better education, so he can’t end up like us, confined to this small village,” Lin Yue said, her brow furrowed and a hint of worry in her eyes.

Chen Yu held her hand and comforted her, "Don't worry, Yue'er. We'll work together, there'll always be a way. We can teach him some basic knowledge first, and when he's a little older, we'll send him to school in town." His eyes were firm, full of hope for his child's future.

Amidst the changes brought about by their child, Lin Yue and Chen Yu not only cherish their family more but also gain a clearer understanding of their responsibilities and goals. They want to create a bright future for their child while continuing to contribute to the development of their village. They know this is their mission and their source of happiness. In this era full of hope and challenges, they move forward step by step, writing their own story, carrying their love for their family and villagers.
